Nah the brujah are still officially members of the camirilla. They just have the highest percent of non Camarillo members too and the clan is super incoherent since so many are anarchs

The Brujah did, indeed, split from the Camarilla recently in the latest edition, but they've never really gotten on with the Camarilla as a power structure. They tend to respect the Masquerade, because it's a good idea, and they tend to resist the Sabbat, because it's a good idea, but even prior to v5 the Brujah were only very loosely a Camarilla clan because the Brujah themselves are a very divided and unorganized group run through with generational divides.

Nah the brujah are still officially members of the camirilla.
The Camarilla claims every existing vampire as a member by default, this doesn't mean jack.

The fourth clan is Ventrue. I haven't found a trailer announcement, but the page is up on Paradox's website.

Ventrue - Paradox Interactive

Paradox Interactive is a world leading PC games publisher known for games such as Cities: Skylines, Europa Universalis and Crusader Kings.

So Brujah, Ventrue, Tremere and Assamite/Banu Haqim.

One of these is not like the other, one of these just doesn't belong...

Still, pretty standard Fighter/Talker/Caster/Rogue spread here, though the BH MIGHT wind up being pretty interesting and there's a chance the Tremmie will be fun.

Brujah, Ventrue and Tremere have clasically ben 'Core' Clans, while Assamite very much is not.

Finally saw the trailer for the dialogue instead of just the combat they've put in most trailers and wow this is just a normal AAA game with some neat lore huh

Looks more like a new Dishonored game than Vampire. And Fabien's voice seems like it could get grating.

See I would be all for a Dishonored style game set in the Vampire world.

I just wouldn't want it to have the Bloodlines title associated with it.

I'm just eight minutes in and I hate everything I see. Phyre's presence is even more obnoxious than I expected, not only does she have a goofy-ass name and a frankly uninspired VA but she's also accompanied by some random annoying-ass dude commenting on everything. It's like the devs specifically wanted to go out of their way to murder any hope of immersion.

The combat and stealth is tolerable but that was never what made Bloodlines 1 great, improving on it doesn't earn you points if you're actively rejecting the original's strengths. It's like a less competently made Dishonored but without that game's focus on immersion.

Way to show you respect the series Chinese Room -_-

The Fallout 4 type dialogue selector made me finally drop the game from my wishlist after putting it on way back in 2020.

This ain't it.
It's really striking when Bethesda is better capable of reading the room when it comes to RPG trends then these people.

Not only did they go with the incredibly baffling choice of a voiced protagonist in a sequel to a game famous for its immersion they chose to do it in a way so memetically bad that even Fallout 4's own fans tend to recognize was dogshit. It shows an almost impressive indifference to learning from other RPGs. I don't know what the Chinese Room is thinking.

'Dish on a Red and Bethgame Bethgame(uninspired Post Apoc flavour) 2 sure sold really well, and people have been wanting a BL2 for almost two decades !', probably.

Oh well, time to finally finish a runthrough of Antitribu instead of this bullshit, cause if I wanted shit Bloodlines with dumb powers and 'cool' characters I sure already have that.

Another one for the pile of disappointing revivals I guess. How the fuck is the Disciples revival, a game made by literally a mobile dev before then, the only one of these in recent memory that actually fucking did a good job ?

Man, what a letdown. I played through the original for the first time recently and I have been massively hype for this game ever since.

Guess I'll go back to modded Skyrim for my vampire fix, since there really doesn't seem to be any other immersive vampire sim out there. Unless Vampyr is good? I remember a lot of mixed reviews when it came out.

I really liked Vampyr but it's a weird game I would characterize in the tealm of 'kinda great but also not necessarily good', if you get my feeling.

I admittedly only skimmed the video but it seems fine enough so far, as games go? Pretty vanilla rpg, I guess, so it isn't quite matching up to Bloodlines 1, but as a game it seems fine?

But then I guess folks were after Bloodlines 1 in feel, so I can understand the disappointment.

Anyone have any other VtM games they reccomened? Or vampire ones in general ig
As mentioned, modded skyrim is about the best 'Vampire Lifestyle Simulator' out there right now.

The VtM visual novels are fairly well done, but the first one locks you into the same ending no matter what choices you make and the second just does away with the illusion of choice altogether for the most part. They do a good job of introducing some of the vampire lore though, which is what they were really made for.

For a very different vampire experience, the Sims 4 vampire content is actually kind of fun, although I wouldn't ever recommend to anyone that they purchase the Sims (I played on my ex's copy).

Beyond that, I have had a hard time finding a solid vampire roleplaying experience. You can be a dhampir in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, but it's not really ever a big part of how you play.

The original VtM:B is incredibly janky, but it is legitimately a lot of fun if you can get past that. Honestly, I hope that they eventually just do a full remake of the original in a modern engine, because that would go a long way towards scratching the itch.

I thought the Night Road VN was pretty good and has a degree of replayability. That's probably going to be the best place for a Vampire fix.

To be clear, Night Road isn't really a "visual" novel; it is entirely text-based (which is not a comment on its quality, I haven't played it yet, just a clarification). There exist two VtM visual novels that do have art and whatnot, and those are the ones I was referring to: Coteries of New York and Shadows of New York.
