Uniting All Under Heaven (Kingdom AU CK2 Quest)

We need MAX Martial. It's our war AND our combat stat. Without maximizing it, we greatly risk our lives. We also need high learning to constantly improve our stats. Diplomacy and intrigue is needed to be good as well. Stewardship and piety can go last cause even tho stewardship is important, it doesn't have the high risks that intrigue/diplomacy come to have.

[x] Kanshou. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to gain one of the five treasure blades of China. Kanshou and its partner sword Bakuya were said to be swords without compare, there was nothing that they could not cut, and those they wound are said to never be able to recover from those wounds. While the income from the land given would be nice, your family is already very wealthy as it is. This is an opportunity to gain a weapon that is legendary in its own right, and who knows maybe someone will be able to find a use for it.

[x] Train with the…: Your father has decided that you are finally at the right age to start learning how to fight. Among nobles it is not an all too uncommon sight to see a noble youth being trained in combat considering the times in which you live. For this task your father's chief bodyguard Souma has been appointed to teach you. Reward: Increased personal combat score and martial score. Gain proficiency with a weapon. Chance of Success: 80/60/40%
-[x] Sword

[x] Study the Art of War: The teachings of Sun Tzu still ring true today, even hundreds of years after his death. While you are still in the process of learning how to read your father has decided to set aside time to teach you the lessons from within. Reward: Increased martial score. Gain basic knowledge required to learn more advanced tactics. Chance of Success: 80/60/40%

[x] Etiquette Training: As a scion and heir to a noble family you will be expected to know the proper manners and etiquette when dealing with others of your station. You do not only represent yourself, but your family, and potentially your state. That is why your mother has taken the time to personally instruct you in the proper deportment expected from a noble. Reward: Increased diplomacy score. Lessens chance of offending other nobles. Chance of Success: 80/60/40%

[x] Finances: Running a fief is hard work. You have to take into consideration things like taxes, incomes, guilds, and infrastructure when it comes to managing your finances. You will not always have a steward around to help you run your domain. That is why your family's steward, Kai Ryo, has been instructed to take time to teach you the basics of economics. Reward: Increased stewardship score. Increased understanding of economics. Required for unlocking later options. Chance of Success: 80/60/40%

[x] Stealth: For those who work in the shadows, their greatest tool is often surprise. Knowing how to move undetected is a requirement for those who work in the underworld. Stealth is also something that is also useful on the battlefield as well. That is why your father has hired someone from Clan Shukyou, he told you it was better for you to not know his name, to train you in the art of moving silently. Reward: Increased intrigue score. Increased stealth skills. May unlock later assassination techniques. Chance of Success: 80/60/40%

[x] Spend time with your family: Considering the busy lives your parents live, their time is very important. That is why opportunities to simply have fun with them are golden to you, for you never know how long this will last. Reward: Increased relationship with your parents. Chance of Success: 80/60/40%

So here is my plan.

So what is different from the other plans ?
I don´t take stealth as that isn´t that good for us. Why ? because our char will not be the one that trys to get information, sabotage buildings or kill people in their sleep. We have people for that job we just have to find them.

For the stats :
Int isn´t that important look at the parents of the mc the int stat is high and we can train it to get higher. Piety is the same.

Stewardship and Learning are pretty important and then our main stats Martial and Diplo.
The thing we will do the most is leading armys and talking with other nobles so we should get there as much stats as we can.

Change the stats to plan [] Stat Allocation "I wanna be like Kanki but not quite Kanki" as the high learning stat in Ic, because of our traits.

Why is everyone only chosing one personal action? I would suggest one personal on family relations and the other to double down on whatever action we want to go through the most, probably art of war or sword training. Also get legendary sword and have our Dad train us to use it.

Because most aren´t sure how many personal action we have.
I ask the Qm already about them as i am not really sure there, but he isn´t online at the moment ...
I would go with Art of war if we have the dd.

He states two in the first turn, but not by the personal action section. It is right under Turn One in the text.

Turn One

Turns will last half a year in duration. You will receive two personal actions each turn, which you can use to take an extra action in one of the other trees or to double down on an existing choice for a bonus of +20 to that roll.

@Japanime we have two personal actions right?
We can ether use them to do personal actions, dd or get one more action for this turn for one of the other fields right ?

Yes, you have two personal actions. You can choose not to take an action from the list and just take another action with it or double down if you want.

Yo dude. Legendary sword are rare as FUCK. Getting lands and money is nice and all but shit like this?

Get sword, might as well learn how to use it.

[X] Study the Art of War: The teachings of Sun Tzu still ring true today, even hundreds of years after his death. While you are still in the process of learning how to read your father has decided to set aside time to teach you the lessons from within. Reward: Increased martial score. [X] Philosophy: Many would think that in a time with seemingly endless conflict that there would be no time for deeper thought. Well those people would be wrong as hundreds of schools of thought have arisen teaching a myriad number of philosophies for which the people should live their lives. Your family believes that it is in your best interest for you to learn at least the basics of these philosophies so that do not make a fool of yourself in an intellectual discussion. Menshi, a scholar who studied at the famous Jixia Academy, has been tasked to teach you the basics involving the main schools of thought. Reward: Increased piety score. Learn basics of the main philosophies. Required for learning philosophy in greater depth. Chance of Success: 80/60/40%

[X] Education: Within the many states, an education is only attainable for those with the wealth to afford it. While they do not expect you to become a scholar, your parents understand the importance of literacy, mathematics, and the arts. Which is why the scholar Menshi has been hired to instruct you in your lessons. Reward: Increase in learning score. Required for unlocking later learning/research options. Locked for 4 years.

Eh, this would be the only possible way for you to actual gain Kanshou since its been shown that Bakuya was in the possession of Chu. Since the Chu capital of Ei was recently conquered this was the only chance to get it unless you straight up conquered Chu, which would only happen during the unification. Considering How it was hinted that Shin started with a treasure blade of his own I thought it was fair to give you one as well, you will probably need it.

If you don't want it though, I can edit that option out and just give you the land.

I am typing on my phone during a break so don't expect many more replies.

Ayt so, how do we exactly want to allocate those stats? We've got 4,4,3,6,5,3 and I'm guessing these are for Diplomacy, Martial, Steward, Intrigue, Piety, and Learning?

I'm partial to the idea of doing

Learning - 6
Martial - 5
Intrigue - 4
Diplomacy - 4
Steward - 3
Piety - 3

If i'm completely wrong as to what the bossman means about stat allocation then whelp. I'll edit accordingly or somwat.

This is correct, that is how you allocate stats.

-[X] Learning: 5
-[X] Intrigue: 4
-[X] Stewardship: 4

Stat allocation is reasoned as follows:

Martial is at 6 because we need to buff this up ASAP if we wanna be anywhere competent on the battlefield that necessitates us using pointy objects to make killy motions. We absolutely cannot let up on this otherwise we become squisher targets for enemy elites who can just squeeze through whatever plan of action we put into place. We've seen Kyoukai wreck shit, and I'd rather us be Kyoukai if that scenario was to happen.

Learning is at 5 because while secondary to Martial (and dice rolls), this allows us to keep up with the curve. Enough investments here and we can even be said learning curve. The more relevant information we have at our disposal, the more plans we can actually put into use. This ties up with Intrigue and Stewardship at 4. Intrigue is for the cunning that will inadvertently be required because the only way to win at life is to be even more unfair than Life itself. This means better resource allocation and better ways to stack the odds in our favour.

Diplomacy and Piety is at 3 because, well, the most convincing thing to have is a pointy object right at your enemy's throat or any variation thereof that would force them to comply. Honey and barbs are useful, yeah, but we can just learn how to do this thanks to our high learning ability and educational funds.

Yes, you have two personal actions. You can choose not to take an action from the list and just take another action with it or double down if you want.

Thanks for the info.

Put the dd in as we have new information from the QM. The rest is the same.

I also hope we can not do stealth and do the action that makes vastly more sense when you play a noble char stealth would have been good if we had played as anything else.

I am thinking of changing my vote to Stat Allocation "I wanna be like Kanki but not quite Kanki" as the learning 5 is more in line with our traits.
