Through the Ages (Exalted CK2 Style Empire Builder)

We need to decide if we flip her or work around her first, in my opinion.
If we flip her, higher intrigue is not such a big deal.
If we work around her, we need to lower her intrigue as far as possible.

My vote would be:

[X] work around her.

We will have to do a lot of things, and flipping her will take a lot of time we could use on other things.
Besides, by word of QM her superior will know she is about to go native before she does.
Worst case - he recalls her just as we are about to flip her, and we wasted a lot of actions for nothing.

So she will most likely not have traits focused on intrigue then. I'm still in favor of the guy doing +3 piety -2 intrigue. For when we flip her she will still be less easily manipulated and she'd be an rather pious member of our court.

Also I vote on flipping her. We could use an permanent piety advisor.

Why not just drop her intrigue into the pit? Her piety and intrigue will go up too from traits, especially her trait for being a whatever aspect, so we want extra oblivious.

@Katreus
As she'll be getting +8 Intrigue, if we can remove 5 points she'll be much easier to put in a position where we can flip her.
With our own Lunar there it would also be much harder to re-flip her, or whatever the term is.

Eh this seems like a poison pill to be honest. If we want her as an advisor we don't want to undermine her stats too dramatically whereas if we want to work around her we do want to sabotage her as much as possible. To be honest I would trade all 5 points for an Open Minded Trait because since the player base is still divided on what we do with her (since we don't know her personality), we could be sabotaging ourselves...

@Alectai could you give us a small bio or description on what she's like? I mean if she's a complete b****. I don't want to flip her even if it's possible for her to become a self-righteous pro-Solar zealot.

It's less a poison pill if Intrigue is removed, since she won't be using Intrigue, and will be defended by our Lunar's asskickingly awesome Intrigue.

Not sure why everyone is so convinced that flipping her is a good idea. Just drop her intrigue, and kill her once the wyld hunt realizes what's up. Flipping her would require MANY personal actions, all of which could be better spent building up people who are actually loyal to us.

Because if we have more exalted it'll make it easier for us and if we flip her than we can have her teach mortals how to kung-fu people to death. Which is pretty cool.

Also maybe we could get her together with our master of coin Morgan and have them produce MORE dragonblooded exalted. After all we need all the help we can get.

I admit you guys may be right. I just hate being proven wrong and have an hard time changing my position when even if it seems smarter to do so.

Having stated that I'm still in favor of -2 intrigue +3 piety but I admit this is just my stubborness in effect at this point.

The problem is that 25 is considered the magical number where a character gets a big boost in power. And 30 is even worse.

Plus the character might a trait or two that boosts intrigue. I am not taking any chances so....

[X] -5 Intrigue.

I admit it's smarter to do the -5 intrigue. So I'm not going to complain. Also it's going to be easier for her not to notice that we are converting to being pro-anathema.

Her personality should be decided by her stats and her still unknown traits. We only know when she's complete.
If that's the case I would say the -5 Intrigue makes the most sense. Hopefully she ends up a wide-eyed innocent who becomes attached by Altren's and the Cloudrunner's genuine concern for the people of Yilali (if she flips as a piety advisor she won't be involved with foreign powers anyway and Nieya can make sure no one gets her to leak information or anything). If she turns out to be distasteful then we'll work around her.

I would like to point out, that it will be harder for her to hide that she is being converted against Rising Flame's observations. Who is using her in addition of as a spy also as an Anathema -bait.

The only thing I want from her is to be clueless. We will be primarily trying to get the wild hunt on wild goose chases, assassinating their members, while strengthening our military. She is not important on the large scale of things, except in her ability to give the game away.

This man is correct, the Piety Advisor is a course hazard.

There are definite disadvantages to dropping her intrigue all the way down though, in that she'll be less useful to us then because of how easy it will be for Rising Flame to get info out of her even if we do flip her. I'm thinking raise Piety to the max and then remove one point of intrigue.

Altren's Intrigue will be higher than hers still and we get maximum utility from flipping her.
