Pah! All of you are blind! The obvious route this goes is:

Fi: behold the power of wodercute!
Trio: yes master!!!

Serafina is obviously a master 12, she has already mastered everyone including the readers...

Also Fi for nicknames?

Ahahahaha! Out of context (and in) the idea of someone bullying an Endbringer is hilarious. I'm just imagining Emma walking up to Leviathan as he's attacking Brockton Bay and insulting his looks and telling him that no one likes him and then Leviathan running off crying, totally defeated. That was the secret to beating them all along!
hey, it worked against scion. turns out belittling someone is the most vile attack you can enact

"I could always see seconds or so into the future, no matter what. And when your omniscient precog-sight can always see nano or picoseconds ahead, something like being able to see in the present isn't really much of an inconvenience."
As I understand it, Simurgh had post and precognition. Actually, her postcognition, provided it wasn't a really long delay, like five seconds, would have been functionally indistinguishable from actual sight. After all, everything you're experiencing is technically in the past, it's just a matter of perception based upon the speed at which your neurons fire.

The WOG that wanked Jack beyond all reason explicitly made him an anti-parahuman Master on top of his other powers. It's canon despite contradicting the text, and it's stupid.
IMHO that's just one more reason to keep it clear that WoG is not the same as canon.

Canon is canon -- the work itself, and nothing more.

Canon-compatible WoG is what you're talking about. Not canon, just a WoG which any author can use or ignore -- and either way the author is still following canon.

By the WoG, Jack had semi-justified plot armor. IMHO it's actually kinda clever to see an in-universe justification for Jack's longevity -- he may have been a toxic influence on the canon plot, but he was a well-executed and narratively justified take on the Joker archetype, and that is a credit to Wildbow.

I wonder if Sophia would report Taylor being mastered by this little girl. She can literally throw herself under the bus, if PRT would look to closely in Taylor's life, on the other had, Master in the school.

Something has just dawned on me. Is Sera roughly the same (apparent physical) age as Aisha? Because if so, and if they end up becoming friends, I foresee many shenanigans occurring.

I think Sera would be great with Missy or Dinah.

I'm just waiting until Taylor realises that yes, she can be a hero now! And when she realises that where Taylor goes, Sera follows. Two new teenage heroines, able to go toe to toe with Endbringers.

Eh, I'm not sure being a hero is really in the cards for Taylor here. She needs to focus on keeping her grades up, getting and keeping a decent job, and that sort of thing. Being a hero would harm all of that. Taking up precious time and energy.

I think that if Taylor gets caught up in the cape scene it will not be because she wanted to. It's just a feeling but this seems likely to be closer to "A Finely Honed Blade" than "Transposition".

The other thing is it likely wouldn't be entertaining from a literary perspective. Taylor is effectively becoming an Endbringer, albeit a bit limited in her abilities as she is (just like Sera's pretercog is locked down). She's personally connected to four shards for fuck's sake, and Queen has demonstrated that she isn't above bullying or co-opting others to work for/with her (and by extension, Taylor and Sera).

What that means, though, is that fights would be total curbstomps. Sure, it may be fun the first few times, but Taylor's problems and her situation force her to be much more responsible and focus on the things that just let her live, much less consider going out and gallivanting around. She's a fifteen year-old balancing school, a job, homework, and all the things that come with living on your own (bills, food, etc.) The one good thing she's got going for her is that she owns the house in full, since it's been in her family for a bit, and she doesn't have to deal with mortgages or anything.

Not to mention she's just not in the state of mind for it. She just lost her father, and if she'd gotten a power like canon Taylor that might have actually pushed her to go out more (because she'd have a worse apathetic/suicidal mindset than canon). However, getting Sera means she has a major anchor to life now, as she suddenly has another person to focus on and distract her, which also lends itself to her being less comfortable going out.

Sera's not really interested in cape stuff herself. Very much "been there, done that", whereas being human is a huge novelty and presents a whole set of new experiences that she's loving. So she's actually more excited about mundane things after only having known powers before.

So yeah. A fight or two might happen, like, as something to push plot forward, just like the Lung fight did for Taylor in AFHB, but it's not really something I can see them seeking out. For now, at least.

ah why continue working there though?

Zizter could nab a bunch of laundered cash accounts and set up a web designer or data capture cover job to dole it to Taylor. frees time to be family you know?

Could also try taking this story slice-of-life style. Actually that might make a lot of sense, here.

When little Zizter meets the terrible trio:
QA: [EXTERMINATE]
Zizter: Urg, no kinda illigal sadly.
QA: [BEFRIEND]
Zizter: *gasp* No! That's even worse!
QA: [HUMILIATE]
Zizter: Now that I can work with!

ah why continue working there though?

Because when the social worker comes by to check on how she's/they're doing it's really bloody suspicious that Taylor suddenly quit her job after only two weeks, yet they're somehow getting along perfectly fine without any obvious source of income. That's the sort of thing that screams "illicit activity", usually something to do with drugs and/or a gang.

Not the sort of attention they want. Maybe when Taylor's off her probationary period and doesn't have people checking in on her every two weeks or month, but that's like a year off.

Personally I think that the best option for Taylor and Zizter to get into the cape business is probably to get in the rogue train and find if some of Zera's creation have some marketable value, after all some extra income under the table is always welcome. They could even hopefully befriend other entrepreneurs of the cape community like Parian.

Edit: That aspect of Railgun was one that I enjoyed the most for it's originality, R.I.P. to a great author :(.

That's what I was going to try, though I'm not quite sure how to go about it nor how successful I'll be, considering most of the stories I've written are very plot-driven. I think Blink's the only one that would fit that, and it's got a very different structure from anything else I've written, including this. Though I guess AFHB's 0.x arc chapters would count too? The latest one in particular.

We'll have to see how it goes. I do have some major events planned, and the world of Worm in general kinda makes it hard to completely avoid things happening.

I still think it would be interesting if [Selector] decided that the Ziz attack needs to be a zizter bonding day as a means to perpetuate the Endbringer attacks on schedule. You did say she's essentially turning into one and there was The Twins in Canon! Althoughthat might get a little grim... Wait, this is Worm, even the Crack has a habit of getting Grim once. So the Ziz attack, due to her new found free will and full sapience, means she could turn it into a game of hide'n'seek to keep the fluffiness except instead it's hide'n'destroy for the capes with either Sera or Tay popping up and poking them!

Ziz is no longer the hope killer she now the friend maker! THE FRIENDBRINGER! except for Eidolon, who's currently buried under a pile of dropbears and emus. TAKE THAT, DAVEY!

I think it fits the story, and it's been proven to be possible in Worm. Queen of the Swarm did a pretty decent job of it, for instance.

Besides, it's Ensou. "Unsuccessful" doesn't exist in the same universe.

I mean, isn't Leviathan due to pay Brockton a visit in a few months?

My knowledge of Worm canon isn't amazing, but it'd be amusing if Talor and Sera just backhand Levi back into the sea, and then leave, ignoring all attempts to speak with them.

I'm just wondering when little brothers Ben and Levi will decide to visit their sister.

The current situation is pretty darn funny already. The eating lasagna reaction was hilarious.

I have to imagine that that schedule will have changed with the disappearance of The Simurgh, especially since she was supposed to attack next.

That said, I think it would be even more amusing if Serafina just showed up and was all, "Shoo, go away, I'm trying to enjoy my day here." and Leviathan slunk back into the sea with his tail between his legs.

Well, I was imagining the discussion on attempting to recruit her.

"Do you want to be the one she decides to say no to forcefully?"

"No, not really."

Please don't say it.

Now I'm imagining Taylor and Serafina keeping a blackboard/whiteboard/foamboard schedule of who attack which city like someone divvying up house chores. Heck they might even put actual house chores in-between just because.

Like, Sera might not be the Simurgh anymore, but maybe she's still want to pay attention to her siblings' activities?
