@Arvin_Larn Hey, bro. It was late and I missed you in the tagging. Drifter would be laying on top of one of the red boxes in the "Machine Shop", which are the train cars that the Bandits use for storing their things. Similarly, he woke up with a pounding headache with his gear nearby.

It's cool, man. I was wondering where Drifter went. :p

Time to start panicking and shooting!

So, Talon is going to join the fight in the machine shop. Rolling for Shoot at the Zombies in sector C2.
Cheburashka threw 4 6-faced dice. Reason: Shoot +2 Total: 17

Bratok is going to move into the T3 corridor. If there are enemies along the way, I'll add a roll to this post to shoot them.

@Sushi

I want to shift Dexter's aspects. The original plan was to make him a little crazy, the truth at any cost was literal. I was thinking making him more generally reckless basic idea -

  1. You can't find anything new without risk, professional or personal.
  2. If someone tried to kill you - you try to kill them right back.
  3. Actions between people are reciprocal, honesty is met with honesty, lies met with decit in turn.
  4. Interested in the Zone partly due to its nature meaning your likely able to find something interesting and new out and partly due to his own history. So his search for something nee is a personal and scientific search.

I just don't think I'm going to use his current aspects... much i could also use advice for a trouble.

So I think the easiest way to work with this is to find the driving reason for why such an individual would want to go to the Zone, the Wish Granter in particular.

Then everything follows based on personality. e.g.

"Reckless Personality"
"An Eye for an Eye"

You could make his trouble based around the Wish-Granter part too.

Never played Stalker, who or what is the Wish Granter??

The Wish Granter is what's rumored to be at the center of the Zone. Local legends say that whoever reaches it can have anything that asked for, whether it be glory, wealth, or power. Some people think that the Wish Granter is just a pile of very valuable and powerful artifacts. No one knows for sure, since no one has been said to come back from the Wish Granter alive.

In actuality, the Wish Granter is a bit more... complicated.

As Unlucky said, the Wish Granter is usually the core source of drama for any good S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Story, like in Roadside Picnic, the "Golden Sphere" can fulfill anyone's wishes, while in the Stalker 1979 movie, "The Room" can fulfill a person's wishes, but only their truest, innermost ones. (There's an anecdote about a stalker whom wished to have his brother back but got insanely wealthy instead, as that was his innermost wish.)

So usually a character build pivots off that drama.

Regardless, did you want to enter the current battle?

Roger that. These mutants don't offer passive resistance to gunfire, so that's enough to kill one and knock down another in C2.

Ideas for new aspects

Trouble – Nothing is discovered without accepting some risk

Aspects –
Information is more valuable than a few artifacts
A favor for a favor, and an eye for an eye

Basically Dexter came to the zone since its unique on the planet. This makes it the best place to observe and make discoveries that are brand new - the zone presumably takes follows the rules of physics even if its not rules we understand YET. Discoveries are only done with some level of risk... professional or personal - nothing is found by 'play it safe'. Meanwhile Information on the zone, on how relics behave, how the effect people, what they give off and so forth is also likely as valuable to groups as artifacts themselves. Thus we have a means for Dexter to pay for his own personal research venture. Lastly ... well if someone tries to kill you... you try to kill them right back!

How's the profile work going? Need any help?

Well, other than gear suggestions, I'm looking for other non-work-related quirks and motivations for Brother. Obviously being undercover brings a lot of stress, and he loves his country, but why does he love it? Is it little things? Is it his own parents' background in the resistance movement? Is there anyone else he connects to or is he mostly on his own? I'll flesh all this stuff out tomorrow evening but right now I'm just mulling it over.
