The Web of Peter Parker

[X] Interview for an internship down at Omnitech, where Mom and Dad used to work. It'll look great on my resume, and it has some really fascinating research being done, I could learn a lot there. Plus, it'll help me learn more about my parent's, maybe even figure out why they were killed? Who killed them?

[X] Future Fair, with the best and brightest minds in the planet. All the big shots are gonna be there. Charles Xavier, Norman Osborn, Curt Conners, Reed Richards, Hank Pym, Otto Octavius, Tony Stark, Hank McCoy, and dozens more. There's even a section for people who registered ahead of time, like me, to show off some of the things they've worked on.

we must make tony stark our best friend

There are a few people who, at the very least, aren't worse than their main Marvel-verse counterparts; JJJ for example, while still a jerk in most of his early appearances, starts taking levels in kindness over the course of the series and even becomes one of Spider-Man's biggest supporters.

Most other Ultimate characters are massive bags of assholes though.

Ah yes, loved ultimate Jonah, he was awesome
The Fantastic Four minus Reed Richards all seemed like good guys in Ultimate.

Reed was evil though.
Yep completely wacko.

It's still relatively close.

Could we discuss the reason for each person´s votes? i mean its just that i feel recently that the voters ALWAYS go for the science option/path even when there are other options available....

I don't know quite enough about the various paths to go full HOTBLOODED SPEECH a la the TTGL quest, but I do like the idea of shaking up the status quo, of a hero arising from the ashes. Spider-man is easily one of the most basically good people in Marvel that I'm aware of - if the city is brought down to it's knees, then I think being able to play as that symbol, that inspiration would be a lot of fun.

Well I picked Infamous because I love the setting a whole lot, but also because I think it would make for a great quest. Peter trying to help his aunt and uncle survive in a city gone mad, discovering he is a conduit, working to control his growing powers, maybe forming a gang of his own or fighting them protect his family and town. Also since it would be an Infamous cross I hope Cole would be involved as well as the Infamous morality system which will effect how our powers grow and what kind of decisions we get to make.

It's not actually a crossover, it's just a similar set up (explosion grants super powers), I believe.

Well the explosion would probably lead to similar circumstances of the game; city on lock down, gangs controlling territories, boss conduits leading the gangs.

Not really conduit but there are a lot of people gaining powers left and right like Infamous and there are already some dangerous gangs around.

Thats it! usually the comics always regress to the status quo, if an incident like this happens there will be no more status quo, kinda like the ultimatum but even with that things went more semi-normal after a while(not counting all the dead heroes) i want something diferent, i want for peter´s choices to have meaning, for him to be in a really tight spot and even then hold to his ideals.

Well, I have a few reasons for voting the way I did, one of them I mentioned earlier (there's a pretty good chance that the explosion and the chaos that follows it will cause some status quo shifting, and I'd really like to see how those changes ripple out), but I do have a few other reasons that I can mention:

1. In addition to Infamous, the premise also reminds me a bit of Marvel Avengers Alliance (which I've been playing a lot of lately) and I'd really like to see where luckybreak will go with that idea.

2. Picture this: The explosion and its aftereffects causes NYC to be a chaotic mess with every two-bit thug trying to take advantage of the crisis. To the average Joe on the streets, it looks like there's no hope left. Then a hero appears, fighting back against the chaos, bringing peace and order back to the streets. Spider-Man is the kind of hero who brings hope back to the common man, and I think that this choice will best show that.

3. This kind of situation is where Peter thrives; when he goes up against insurmountable odds and overcomes them no matter who or what stands in his way. That's how he regularly beats guys he should have no chance against; like Juggernaut, Firelord, and Fusion.

4. Like I said earlier about changing the status quo, I think it'd be interesting to see how some characters react to such a big change. Will some traditional villains decide that the chaos is too much and try to fix things? Will some heroes lose hope and switch to what they think is the 'winning side'? That's what I want to see.

I'll elaborate:

Omnitech = Kubo is your GM.
If you want World Building, Glorious Plot!, and/or mystery Omnitech is the way to go. It's also the most likely to let Peter actively choose (non-tech) powers.

Future Fair = Bethesda/Bioware-style Sandbox.
Future Fair is pretty much a "do whatever you want" game. As a consequence, it'll probably be pretty player driven. It'll also give you the greatest chance of changing the overarching world.

School = Infamous.
If you like the morality system and one clear overarching plot-line, this is the choice for you.

Museum = Comic book.
Ironically, while thematically it's the most different, this choice is the closest to classic Spider-man. Lots more "Villain of the week" than the other options.

Now, these won't actually be all this clear cut (and I could totally be wrong on some) but this is the basics.
