The War in Heaven: An Angel in the War of Wrath

[X] Forsake Caine, you can try the Great Work on Abel's corpse

[X] Bind Caine in chains of fire and bring him to Michael's

Wouldn't it be possible to collect Caine later to bring to Michael, afterwards?

[X] Forsake Caine, you can try the Great Work on Abel's corpse

So in Canon what happened is someone ignored Abel and cursed Caine and thus vampires were unleashed? Also because of the heavy damage done by the rebellion there currently isn't an afterlife so if Abel isn't tweaked at this moment his soul/persona/being is obliterated?

I want to change canon by placing a far superior curse on Caine.

I'm a bit curious on why nobody wants to kill Caine.

There is no sevenfold vengeance mark yet.

Hm, true.
Well, anyone else up for it?

I wouldn't want to split votes, but killing Caine should be relatively fast so we could do that AND help his brother I think.
but wouldn't that just be revenge and or murder itself? We are a angel and so due process should be what we should do, not just kill him without a proper judgement from God

Doesn't Caine represent a good portion of humanity? Killing him can cause a major die off for humans as a full quarter of them is killed.

But in canon humanity seemed to be able to do relatively ok without him?

In this quest it was pointed out that in one layer of the world is Adam and Eve and all of their children, in another layer it is the many proto-humans that would evolve into humans. So to me it seems like while in one layer Caine just killed Abel, in another, a quarter of humanity just slaughtered another quarter.

And things were okay because Caine was given the mark and left to wander. I don't know what would happen if we kill him. Plus remember that Murder is only recently a thing, we do not want to be caught up in it.

Well, in the future world Caine's children certainly fucked it up plenty, so I don't think that'll be the case for much longer.

Honestly, I'm just against not acting against Caine, so I really don't want the "do nothing to him while focusing on Abel" vote to win.
Caine needs to be neutralized.

Well, we could both neutralize Caine and try to help Abel.

[] Strike down Caine with the Lore of Fire and then try the Great Work on Abel's corpse

But if killing Caine doesn't sit right, then we could tell one of the angels who was looking for the two to bind Caine in chains while we work on Abel. There are a bunch of other angels that were looking for him after all, why not get them involved?

I'd prefer trying that.

[X] Tell others of the choir of the sun that they need to bring Caine to Michael for judgement, and then get as many others as possible as quickly as possible to help try the Great Work on Abel's corpse

We know how [at least one path of] cursing Caine goes; vampires. And we can alter that a bit, but it's not really treading new ground. But using a spark of ineffable shining exaltation to empower the unjustly victimized, that is a story the works of darkness doesn't really tell. I'm rather interested in seeing where that plot hook might lead. Hence picking Abel over Caine.

I was hoping we could make it so there are no vampires or any other supernatural beings coming from this, so Caine doesn't fuck the world up any more.

Its gonna go to shit some other way. Promethians, Werewolves, the Fair Folk, (possibly) Beasts, and those are just the big names, never mind the untold masses of other less notable but no less gribbly, creatures lurking in the dark. It's the World of Darkness, I'd rather add one faction to fight the darkness than remove one faction of the darkness.

[X] You have just seen a miracle. A dark one to be sure, one born of blood and murder. But a miracle unparalleled, a man, a powerless being, cursed and cast down, had just changed the universe. What is more, he had transformed himself. What is going on here?
-[X] Observe this new man. Keep a close eye on Cain and his actions. Talk with him when you can. Most of all, puzzle out this secret.

Crud.

Well, kinda put out we're going the more canon route, but ultimately all these choices have potential for an interesting story, so I'm looking forward to how this goes.
