The War in Heaven: An Angel in the War of Wrath

Not a big fan of the Garou. Space Marines would be awesome but with Chaos forces also in this universe it's gonna be more trouble than it's worth unless we can do something very similar to what was done to the Grey Knights which is a Space Marine chapter that has never been corrupted in their ~10,000 years of history. And like somebody up top said exalted can and will probably screw something up.

Paladins would be possible. It would be a gigantic con act. Basically you'd have to convince people their righteousness give them power, and more importantly that lack of righteousness would result in the privation of these powers.

Reconfiguring the Exaltation to seek moral people would kinda defeat its purpose to kill Titans, you need heroes not saints. But if that's your choice.

Well can we make exaltations so that if they becomes assholes or something the exaltations leave?
We don't want to usher in an era of horrors here or anything.

There is no reason to worry about the Great Curse until you kill you first Titan. That won't be an easy job.

In addition, there seems to have been quite a situation like thins in canon World of Darkness: The Ten Thousand Immortals who, when they fell, were cursed to become revenants and vampires rather than divine champions.

That could be your stick.

Yeah I am going to have to support Exalts because for all their potential bug fuck insanity they were still better than the Titans that they replaced. Better a tyrannical despot than an eldritch abomination that wants to unmake reality.

I don't want vampires.
In fact, I've brought up ideas to royally fuck up Caine so that if any vampires ever happen, they'll be too weak to ever threaten humanity.

Leaning towards Exalts.

They are really the only ones of the three options that have a chance at being useful against the Primordial Horrors. Space Marines and Garou are both fucked if they have to fight those.

Question: Can we create something like the Prometheans from the NWoD? They are created by Humanity, but aren't human, so i am unsure if they would count. Though they would resonate with our alchemy theme and we could make them be fuelled by the divine fire of the sun instead of electricity.

An idea for the Exaltation I have would be that becoming exalted would give one a brief audience with God, which would be swell since what better way to bolster one's faith than actually meeting the God you will be fighting for.

Though who will empower the Exaltations will be a major question.

If ya don't mind me asking, what'd you want prometheans for?

They neatly fit into our themes of divine fire and alchemy. Thats mostly it. Plus, their whole drive to search for their humanity and to transmute their souls via the Great Work makes them introspective and arguably fairly moral for WoD denizens.

Plus, they are just a cool splat.

Anything that messes with humanity is a blasphemy. In fact the entire war of wrath is centered on the desire to protect humanity even if the Great Work is ruined.

Well yeah but they also mess with humans, don't they?

Not really? Its more that humanity messes with them. Canon Promethean are anathema to the world and hated by it, so all mortals and supernatural creatures have a tendency to form into mobs with torches and pitchforks to drive a Promethean that lingers too long nearby away. Oh, and they also get Torment, which is basically an Exalteds Limitbreak.

That part probably requires fixing, by the way.

Yeah, they are cool and thematic, but they probably not something that we'd create to help save humanity or something.

I could see us creating them if we had gone Fallen, though. That would fit better.

But Space marines are chump change against the forces of the primordials. Dragon Blooded would be much better.

You remember who is the regent and creator of the draconic of the WOD, right? Creating litteral Dragon-blooded could lead to quite a bit of fun.

The Wyrm of Destruction would be honored to let his servants power this exaltations, alongside his siblings the Wyld and Weaver

Ahahahano.
Nope.
Nuh-uh.
Non.
Nein.

...Wait, ok, I've got an idea.
How about...
A supernatural powerup, that also makes it impossible for the user to fuck up the universe somehow?
Would that be workable?

For the Exalts. I want to make the one to empower the Solar Variants to be Micheal. Chief of Angels and Metatron.
