The Valkyrior (MCU Thor/Worm)

At this point, no. It's more about opportunity than anything else. Right at this moment in the MCU, Tony is about to battle at the Stark Expo, and the Hulk will be at Culver University fighting Ross and Blonsky then two days later is the Battle of Harlem. Both battles in real time last for about 15 minutes. There's no way she'd be able to get there in and still deal with what she has to deal with in New Mexico.

I take it she's not able to ask Heimdall to bring her up and then put her back at a battlesite in combat time? That's not a bad thing.

I am, however, curious about the whole HYDRA infiltration thing; as far as I recall, while she gave her verbal credentials to Hill and Carter, the only human on the planet who knows she can control bugs is Nick Fury himself. This might mean he's playing even more deep spy games than usual... and that she definitely has surveillance over (by now) the entire base she's in... the one they create the paperwork in :), that perhaps only Fury is aware of.

Thor is canny enough to see HER overconfidence and use it against her. He was/is a prince of the realm. He was probably in on a LOT of the intel about her through his father. If he does convince her to fight without bugs in a hand-to-hand, he'll hand Taylor her ass, almost guaranteed. Even without powers.

I can't imagine the two of them liking each other much, but I could see them having a good sparring match and respecting each other more.
Thor may be canny, but Taylor isn't an idiot. The only possible reason she might agree to fight him without bugs is for a spar (and even then I doubt she would agree once he gets his power back).

Total agreement. She would never agree to even spar him if he had his powers. Not if she had any inkling what he could do. I'm talking about pure no-power sparring.

Thor: *falls out of sky* Urgh... *gets up, spots SHIELD and Taylor* Lady Taylor! Good to see you again!
Taylor: ... Thor, you're half-naked, your hammer's missing, and Heimdall didn't use my spot to send you to earth. So either this is a complete accident, or you're in serious trouble.
Thor: Uhh... *fails to come up with explanation*
Taylor: I am very disappointed in you, Thor. Very. Disappointed.
-.-.-
Frigga: I like her.
Loki: *sighs and rolls eyes*

Frigga: You should ask her out. The rune book was a good gift, but you have to follow up.

Loki: ...

Frigga: Now, now, I'm your mother, and it gladdens my heart to see you finally finding someone you're interested in!

Frigga: You should definitely date her. I want grandkids and Thor's not doing very well in that department.
Loki: *sighs and rolls eyes*
Frigga: Heimdall, back me up here!
Heimdall: I cannot say anything without endangering the ship.
Loki: ... *carefully nudges his book of Taylor fantasies out of view*

Loki: I thank you for your concern, mother, but surely it's Thor's turn to provide grandchildren?
Frigga: Why is it that you feel my desire for bipedal descendants is irrational, hmm?

*later*
Loki: Hmm... her glorious- no no no... luscious hair fell perfectly over her- *slams book shut and throws pencil away* wAIT A MINUTE. HEIMDALL, FUCK OFF!
Heimdall: *chuckles*

Frigga: Between your "alternative" lifestyle and Thor's apparent ineffectiveness, I wonder if your father was unclear when he gave you The Talk.

Loki: What talk?

Frigga: *glares at Odin*

Odin: Oh, um, Yawn! Well I have to go into the Odinsleep now. See you when you've forgotten... I mean, when I wake up.

Later in their private quarters:
Odin:...and that's how it works for Jotun. You want to try explaining that to the boy?
Frigga:*gone decidedly green*I suppose I should just be pleased he managed a couple of mammals.

And at least Cauldron had less moles, infiltrators ect than SHIELD.
I don't think that's a fair comparison:
1. Other-dimensional base that only they have access to
2. Clairvoyant, who can hear/see anything
3. Contessa The hacked
4. Number Man, who knows where all the monies are coming and going from
5. Whatever Eidolon pulls out of his ass (which, frankly, should worry a lot of people when I phrase it like that...)

Bit unfair to complain that SHIELD's been infiltrated when they've got none of that going for them.

Although damn it. Now I'm imagining someone trying to infiltrate Cauldron, but it matches with one of Contessa's paths somehow, so they just roll with it and laugh at the spy behind their backs.

Hey, what Eidolon chooses to do with his hammerspace is up to him and him alone. You shouldn't judge him just because he likes to make a bad joke every now and then.

Hm. There is one interesting point about MU: it has dire lack of competent precogs.

And since most of them are mutants... MCU is even worse in that regard.

Also, i am pretty sure that Asgardians are on Cap level by default... I guess Odin was especially pissed off at his son? :D

Edit: Oh, and minor correction. Iron Man does not have air intakes. Mark III is space capable... Hell, Mark II is, if not for the icing problem.
However Repulsors work, it is pure Tinker Bullshit with direct power/thrust conversion. Magnetic Monopoles? Last explanation for them is several decades old - and it was Particle Accelerator... You probably see the problem with these ;)

Sealing, on the other hand, can be an opportunity on some suits - not all of them even waterproof.

Honestly, i think with something that has as scattered a focus as Marvel, with so many authors, I think not having a good precog under every rock is an excellent idea. I have nothing against precognition and prophecy in a story, but it has to be very carefully managed.

All too true. I must admit, Marvel authors done really good job with one of the most powerful precogs in setting, Destiny. It is these using her Diaries ended making her prophecies self fulfilling ones :)

Sealing and joints. Anything that requires flexible material can't really be solid metal. You can put in some bullshit, but there comes a point where you have to make allowances for movement as well.

Then again, she could just beat him through paranoia. Tony doesn't know who she is at the moment, and she's got a multiple block radius of control. Spend a few weeks terrorizing him till he's too afraid to take off his armor, wait for him to fall asleep in it after multiple days of lack of sleep due to worrying, then let SHIELD know he's ready for pickup. Be hard to pull off but, hey, she's got access to pretty much all of the worlds best spies and their tech to give her a hand, so why not?

The main issue with precogs: Are they telling us things to make us try to stop them, or are they telling us things to make us not try to stop them.

Pity the answer is usually 'Yes' :p
