The Valkyrior (MCU Thor/Worm)

In the movie, Thor is stripped of his Asgardian powers and faced with a guy of fairly equal size had a difficult time getting past him. So, he's down to human norms. He's still a giant brute of a guy, so that has to be taken into account.

Maybe so, it's been awhile since I saw the movie, I remembered him kicking a lot of ass on his way to find Mjolnir and cry though.

He did however take down a squad of special forces soldiers on his own, without any weapons.

Yeah, that.

I can't see Loki going nearly so far as he did OTL, as Taylor can just come up and go 'What. The. Fuck. Are. You. Doing?!" and then 'ginormous swarms of SPIIIIIDERS on him.

Mountains to the South of Simi Valley?

I presume you mean the Oak Brook regional park area? Growing up in the area that is the only area I can think of. Any further south puts you a little bit too close to Malibu and Tony Stark

Eventually Loki is going to realize he's vastly underestimated Taylor.

Then he's going to sqee in delight, because he's found his protege.

And after that Thanos gives him a nifty scepter and the rest is history. :D

I wonder what will happen when Taylor decides to train Thor the Mortal, after all once stripped from all his titles a Valk probably outranks him, not to mention that is probable that now Taylor can take him in hand to hand if necessary (with a little and subtle use of bugs, if you're not chating you're not trying), and I bet both Taylor and Coulson are going to want to keep a close eye on the walking diplomatic disaster (on that note they should send a stern diplomatic letter to Odin, if they're going to exile someone they should fill the proper immigration papers at the very least).

Thor is canny enough to see HER overconfidence and use it against her. He was/is a prince of the realm. He was probably in on a LOT of the intel about her through his father. If he does convince her to fight without bugs in a hand-to-hand, he'll hand Taylor her ass, almost guaranteed. Even without powers.

I can't imagine the two of them liking each other much, but I could see them having a good sparring match and respecting each other more.

I figure Taylor passes them up the chain via Hemi, and when they land on Odin's desk he just cradles his head and groans that he's too old for this shit.

They had guns, they just didn't use them.
I think that says a lot more about their own levels of competency than it does Thor's... stupid plot.

Random thought, is General Ross going to be brought into this story at some point? I can see Taylor having A LOT of problems with him, and he is practically Marvel's version of Tagg.

At this point, no. It's more about opportunity than anything else. Right at this moment in the MCU, Tony is about to battle at the Stark Expo, and the Hulk will be at Culver University fighting Ross and Blonsky then two days later is the Battle of Harlem. Both battles in real time last for about 15 minutes. There's no way she'd be able to get there in and still deal with what she has to deal with in New Mexico.

Afterward is a different matter. Maybe much later.

@Heather Sinclair, have you seen Age of Ultron yet? Will you be incorporating those events and/or canon into this story? It does have implications for some of the things already discussed, which is the most I can say without spoilers.

Not really, as it had been pointed out, m/s protocols work for short term threats, but Hydra has burrowed deep for more than half a century. This shit ain't gonna cut it.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure I'm mixing up my tenses, but hell, I'm a drunk hungrian and still better than most native speakers
Pretty sure he was referring to the whole "where not a corrupted bunch of assholes like your PRT was" part of Sharon's little spiel. Because as we know, she's completely wrong on that one.
