The Coronation

The new Emperor Vladimir von Carstein awoke at 8:00 a.m. to the sound of a great bugling arriving at the palace at Val Royeaux by 11:00 a.m. in a white velvet vest with gold embroidery and diamond buttons, a crimson velvet tunic and a short crimson coat with satin lining, a wreath of laurel on his brow. The number of onlookers was estimated to be between four and five thousand, many of whom had held their places all night through intermittent showers that cleared in the morning, leaving a thick haze of cloud cover that had become nigh-omnipresent in the reign of the man many were now calling the Moon King.

The coronation ceremony itself began at 9, when the Divine's procession set out from the Grand Chantry led by a Mother Superior on a mule, intoning the chant of light amidst braziers of smoking incense. The Divine Beatrix entered the great hall first, and took her seat on a throne near the steps to the Imperial Lion Throne. Vlad's and Isabella's carriage was drawn by eight black nightmares, and escorted by the new Regiment Maison militaire, part of the ongoing reorginization of the army from its feudal levee roots.

Before entering the Great Hall itself, Vlad was vested in a long white satin tunic embroidered in gold thread, and Isabella similarly wore a white satin empire-style dress embroidered in gold thread. During the coronation he was formally clothed in a heavy coronation mantle of crimson velvet lined with ermine; the velvet was covered with embroidered golden bats, by his own request. The mantle weighed at least eighty pounds, and yet he carried it effortlessly . Isabella was at the same time formally clothed in a similar crimson velvet mantle embroidered with bats in gold thread and lined with ermine, which was borne by her newest daughter, the former Empress Celene. There were two orchestras with four choruses, numerous military bands playing heroic marches, and over three hundred musicians. A 400-voice choir performed the new coronation march "Hail Emperor".

The coronation of Vlad and Isabella also differed in this respect from the pattern observed in other Thedas coronation rites: usually, in joint coronations of sovereign and consort, the sovereign is first anointed, invested with the regalia, crowned and enthroned, and only then is a similar but simplified rite of anointing, investiture, coronation and enthronement of the consort performed. However, for the Coronation of Vlad and Isabella, each of those steps was performed jointly, so that Isabella was anointed immediately after Vlad, and each item of regalia was delivered to her immediately after being given to him, a procedure that found no precedent in either Chantry or in the secular rites of the land. In addition, and unusually for any ruler of Orlais, he crowned both himself and Isabella with his own hand.

After the Coronation Rite was finished, the Divine retired to the Chantry, as she objected to presiding over or witnessing the civil oath that followed, due to its contents. The oath red as follows:

I swear to maintain the integrity of the territory of the Empire, to respect and enforce respect for the law of the land; not to raise any tax except in virtue of the law; to maintain the institution of Chevaliers and to govern in the sole interest, happiness and glory of the Orlesian people.

After the oath the newly appointed herald of arms proclaimed loudly: "The thrice glorious and thrice august Emperor Vlad is crowned and enthroned. Long live the Emperor!"

As a response to this, all remaining non-vampire lords have been outraged and have called for their soldiers and peasantry to restore order to the nation. With the backing of the Divine herself.

Half of the forces of Orlais stand ready to combat the other half. As the nation descends into a war for its very identity.

Surely if my centuries of not falling to the sway of the darker powers is not adequate reason, then making certain that I not undermine the war effort against the Orcs is a responsibility of the Templar Order?

As a conciliatory offer, should victory be achieved, I will be willing to permit whatever test is conducted to assure the Chantry that I will not spontaneously submit to creatures I have spent the last 300 years thwarting.
Centuries you say? This is most unusual. Most believed that the secret to immortality was lost to your people ages ago. This is deeply concerning.

However, there are matters at home that require my attention more at the moment and the Chantry is now deeply interested in continuing this conversation at a later date.

With Hope Divine Beatrix III @EliudFS1

Our territory disputes are long and storied, however in this time of tumult we must set aside old hostilities. I would to both our benefit place command of the Royal Navareen First Army under My Own Niece and Your Seeker Cassandra Pentaghast for the duration of this conflict. Even Now the Army of the Dragonhunter aides King Callen of Ferelden whom I believe could be moved to intercede in this conflict as well.

Should Penteghaust assistance prove untenable at this time I request Cassandra be given leave of her current duties to investigate the new species of Monstrosity to Plague the Anderfels at the direct request of myself and the First Grey Warden of Weisshaupt.

In My Own Hand,

Markus Pentaghast

Andraste Despairs For Her People

Blazing like star-shine, to battle they charged.

The monster von Carstein has played his hand. The time has come to march on Orlais and exterminate these monsters.

To: Mortalitasi Order @Awetduck
From: Emperor Vlad I von Carstein
Secret

I have not sought war against your land or your Chantry. So I come before you with an offer.

Your methods, while inventive, are not similar in scope to our own. It is this power I offer you: Shysh, the Necromancers Wind, a source of power free of the risk of possession.

All you need to do is accept my gift, and you may rule Navarra yourself, immune to the whims of the petty king who tyrannizes you and the circles who despise you.

@Theravis

Vlad I Von Carstien, Moon King and Emperor of Orlais,

SECRET

The Grace and Poise with which you asserted your rule over the secular authority of the empire is matched only by the tremendous brutality we have witnessed being visited upon the bodies of the living and corpses of the dead by your known compatriots and necromancers.

We are priests do the dead and the living to shepard them across the veil, ours is not to hunger for power or acclaim.

Also if I desired my Cousins throne instead of my Necropolis I would have it by now or have long since perished.

Your Humble Servant,

Prelate Vestalus Pentaghast

Loremaster, my order has been approached by emissaries of the Moon King of Orlais regarding a magic he calls Shyish, While our own magics have protected the peaceful rest of our dead for centuries it is clear that magics from your land operate under differing principles. If you have the time and inclination I would like to hear what you would teach on this subject.

It would be an intriguing discussion and one I intend to educate the Circles on once the current war against the Greenskins is concluded. Well, that and once your Chantry cease looking at me like i'm about to explode at any moment.

My own Order and the Grey Wardens are two of the very few groups beyond the purview of the Chantry. As for suspicion...it is eternal, all fear what they do not understand. My own magics are often confused with necromancy by the uninitiated. In the Divines defence a great deal of circle mages do explode, or succumb to the temptations of Blood Magic. Given the situation in Orlais I think Beatrix III has far more egregious problems to deal with that an immortal elf on the far end of the world.

Turn 4 Events (Part I of V)
Turn 4 Events (Part 1 of V)

Seheron Invaded Again

The self proclaimed Count Noctilus sent his forces to decimate the naval forces of the Tevinter in Seheron. Noctilus attempted to bring a maelstorm with him in his assault. It would be unfortunate that most of his power was spent in the transportation of Castle Drakenhof from Silvania to Orlais. With his power weakened, he was able to conjure a fraction of what would otherwise be possible. Still, he maintained the advantage in the game of numbers. When the forces of the Vampires met the Tevinter navy, they managed to win with moderate casualties for the Vampires both outnumbered them and outgunned them in the sea. The battle in Seheron itself would result in a different story. As the Tevinter forces did battle with not only magic, but with gunpowder and canons. By then the odds were more even, but it would still result in a victory for the Vampires, as they had marshaled their full strength to this task alone. The only silver lining that Tevinter would find, is in giving their opponents a pyrrhic victory due to their heavy entrenchment and combined use of both magic and gunpowder to even the playing field.

The Revenge of the (Dark) Elves

Acting in coordination with the Vampires, Lokhir Fellheart and Morathi struck at Minrathous itself. A gigantic invasion force of Black Arks would sail from Naggaroth towards Tevinter, though they would be slightly delayed by a raid on their coast (will be expanded on another turn post). The Black Arks would rendezvous north of Seheron, and used the distraction caused by the vampires to push ahead and strike at their enemy capital itself. Here they would do battle against the remnants of the Tevinter fleet, which would be completely decimated by the assault.

The Imperium's defenses were heavy, as they have spent years upon years fortifying their capital against assault, and these defenses would be tested again and again. Black Arks bombarded their walls, Morathi and her dark sorceresses made their attack on the magical defenses of Minrathous. The only thing saving them were the constant supply of Lyrium and even blood that the Tevinter had stockpiled and the raw number of their mages. Day after day the defenses would be tested. So much so, that the only bridge that had access to the city was a giant pile of rubble. Where it not for the Tevinter having built their walls to stand against a fleet of Qunari Dreadnoughts, the city would have all but fallen.

As it stands, the city is on the brink of defeat. The city was prepared with a year supply of food, but unrest plagued the streets, a kind that had nothing to do with a lack of food. Day after day, elven slaves would talk between themselves. Of freedom from their oppressors, being given by the besieging army. A slave revolt seems more and more likely. One that would bring ruin to the Tevinter Imperium.

The Orlesian Civil War

The proclamation of Emperor Vlad Von Carstein came as a shock to some, to others, it was the culmination of two years of planning. On the very first day of his reign, the Vampires made quick work to move against the royalists in the court. Challenging many to personal combat, the Moon King himself would take any takers. Even after sustaining many injuries that would kill any lesser men, and vampires, the Moon King would keep himself alive. Of the Orlesian nobles who opposed him, one stood out above the rest. The house of Belmont led by Leon Belmont rallied the nobles of Orlais in a futile war against the Darkness.

It was truly a futile war, after a set of valiant defeats by the hands of the Moon King. The remaining nobles have retreated to the last safe place in Orlais. The Grey Warden fortress of in Montsimmard. There they will meet with what remains of the Chantry, which sadly did not include Beatrix the III, as she had died from the stress of the situation. She was informally succeeded by Divine Justinia. It is a fools hope, but for the large part, the Nation of Orlais had fallen to the symphony of the undying night.

Stalemate in Arlathan

All sides have decided to retain their forces and maintain a defensive stance. Reinforcements come from both elven and greenskin sides as the numbers swell for all. Ancient spirits awaken in Elvhenan.

The End of Orzhammar As We Know It

The Skaven attacked one of the last strongholds of the Dwarfs in Thedas in massive numbers. The rats were quick and the rats were effective. It was truly a miracle when Gotrek and Felix were there for help as they were a big reason why the battle was as epic as it were. Waves upon waves of rats came in, and waves upon waves of rats lay dead. But eventually, even the vermintide was too much for the Dwarves as rats slipped by the defenders. Though many say something unusual that was happening, the Skaven seemed to prioritize the capture of members of the mining caste, and made off with many of their number.

Eventually, the Skaven would tunnel into the city, and they would bring a large blue sphere with them. One they protected at all costs. As soon as Felix saw it, he realized what it was and what it could do. He immediately told the Dwarves to begin to evacuate and to stop that thing! Alas, they were too late to stop it.

A Lyrium constructed Doomsphere was activated, and the proud nation of Orzammar was no more. The underground belongs to the Demons of the Fade.

A Dawn Will Come

Hawke was having a bad day. She was sent ahead to Orzhammar from the army of King Cailan in Ferelden when she began to see the refugees. Dwarf and Men alike coming from Orzhammar. Rat men everywhere. She led the mages and won victory after victory.

She was there in Armenthine when it fell. She was there in Denerim when it was attacked, and she was here now in Arlathan.

Among allies of many different races and nations. With divine backing from the Divine Justinia herself, they have chosen her to lead the people of Thedas against all threats. As their last hope for salvation. There among the ruins of the Elves long gone, is hope rekindled. The Inquisitor of Thedas. A Dawn Will Come.

Shadows fall, and hope has fled
Steel your heart, the dawn will come
The night is long, and the path is dark
Look to the sky, for one day soon
The dawn will come

The shepherd's lost, and his home is far
Keep to the stars, the dawn will come
The night is long, and the path is dark
Look to the sky, for one day soon
The dawn will come

Bare your blade, and raise it high
Stand your ground, the dawn will come
The night is long, and the path is dark
Look to the sky, for one day soon
The dawn will come

The Inquisition is formed with the backing of Tevinter, The Daelish, Nevarra, The Grey Wardens [Anderfells], Antiva, Rivain, Most of the Free Marches and Ferelden. To restore order and protect Thedas from all who would do it harm.

Erebor, the Lonely Mountain
TA 3016 / turn 4

Internal events:
  • Glóin son of Gróin's expedition to the West returned with grim news. While the Dwarves still worked the mines of Ered Luin, they were not many, and still had their own problems to contend with. What's worse, Balin's expedition to Moria ended in disaster. The expedition found his tomb and the remains of the Book of Mazarbul that detailed the colony's establishment, its short life and its demise. It also found Balin's tomb. Neither the finding of Durin's Axe, after all those years, or a king's ransom in mithril, make King Dáin's sorrow any less. Sorely desiring to avenge his kinsman, he had other matters to contend with.
  • With news of Orcs and Easterlings raiding Dorwinion reaching the Lonely Mountain, messengers were sent to the Vine-Regent's court with offers of aid and alliance. None returned. A fiery debate ensued between those that wanted to march south-east to Dorwinion's aid and those that trusted naught but the Mountain's strength; in the end, the former prevailed, for they argued that only together could the North stand, and that if they would abandon the Men (and Elves) of Dorwinion, they would be no better than the Easterlings they fight.
Therefore the armies of Dale and Erebor march for war. Some men were left back in Erebor (and the Iron Hills), but the majority were mobilised and sent to the defence of Dorwinion.

Diplomatic ties, treaties, and the like:
  • Alliance with the Brandings of Dale
  • Good relations with the Elves of Mirkwood, the Beornings of the North and Dorwinion
  • Contact with the High Elves and the Dawi

Diplomacy:

From: Dáin II, King Under the Mountain
To: The Asur of the North @Dovahsith
Worthies,
The Shadows lengthen in the East, and our friends and partners in Dorwinion have already been attacked by servants of the Enemy. The messengers that were sent there did not return.
The Enemy will surely turn his gaze to us next, for we have been stalwart in our opposition to his evil. If there is any help you can provide us, now is the time; we fear that Dorwinion may already be lost.
Signed,
Dáin II, Lord of Durin's Folk, Lord of the Iron Hills, King Under the Mountain

From: Dáin II, King Under the Mountain
To: Grimbeorn, lord of the Beornings @EliudFS1
Sire,
The Enemy is upon us. Already they attack Dorwinion to the East.
We know that you like us not, but now is the time to make a stand together lest we all perish.
Should you seek it, there is shelter for you and yours in Erebor.
Signed,
Dáin II, Lord of Durin's Folk, Lord of the Iron Hills, King Under the Mountain

Fadeslayer:
How Felix Learned To Stop Worrying And Just HATE THAT SIGMAR-CURSED BOMB

There'd been a bright flash of light in the midst of the carnage, as he and Gotrek cleaved their way through horde after horde of Skaven, and then they'd found themselves... somewhere else entirely. A strange, desolate place, with a terrifying black city off in the distance of the sky, looming like a Black Ark. They quickly found other similarly stranded folks, Orzammarian and Expedition alike. From the Orzammarians, they discovered where they were. The Fade, a realm of spirits and... demons. Felix hated demons. He really hated demons. Because they were almost guaranteed to really kill him or worse. If there was any chance of survival, they had to stick together, and so they did, exploring the strange reaches and landscapes around them. They were beset by strange beings that swarmed about in the distance like hordes, and they lost more and more good men to the attacks.

There was still hope, however. According to a dwarven scholar, there were 'benevolent', as as close to it as possible, spirits within this 'fade', and so the group searched for one that could bring them back into the material world.

Turn 4 Events (Part II of V)

Kingdom Under Fire

Dorwinion was fast in securing allies in their fight against Mordor, but it was too late. The forces of the Dark Lord and his Easterling allies assaulted the Kingdom with overwhelming numbers putting many a city to the sword. Before long, the armies of Dorwinion were routed, and refugees were rampant as they sought safe shelter from the armies of Mordor. It wasn't until Dorwinion was down to it's last port city that they were met with reinforcements.

An expeditionary force from the Asur of Ulthuan came to the aid of their new distant elven cousins, under the direct command of Alarielle the Everqueen. They were soon met with the Dwarves of Erebor under the command of King Dáin and what remained of Thorin's company. There they would also find allies from the elves of the Woodland realm and some forest spirits of the forest of mirkwood. With all these forces combined, they would finally be able to match the forces of Sauron on the open field.

Both forces were now evenly matched, with Uruk-Hai, Trolls, Oliphaunts, the Nazguls and their Fell beast, facing men, elves, and dwarves fighting side by side. In the end, the forces of good would stand triumphant, with many a Nazgul commander banished back to Minas Morghul by their combined efforts.

For now, Dorwinion laid mostly in ruins, and the forces of Morder had retreated back to safer ground.

The Fall of Osgiliath

The forces of Mordor under the renewed command of the Witch King of Angmar continued their attack upon Osgiliath. Using larger numbers, they stormed the defenses of Gondor under the command of Faramir. Faramir gave battle and made the Orcs pay for every street, every block that was given. By the end, the city was still lost, and Faramir was able to evacuate his remaining forces thanks to the help of the Rohirim under the command of King Theodred, who covered their retreat with their superb cavalry. Though, with the city fallen to Saruon, the great capital of Gondor, Minas Tirith, is now within his reach.

Fires of Isengard

Strange fires are seen high in the sky in the area around the lands of the White Wizard. The fires of industry grows in Isengard. One observed closely by a group of explores from the westerosi Alchemist Guild.

Valeryon's Landing

The Targaryen expedition continues to grow as more and more effort is put into restoring their landing ground into a proper port. Their Dragons cause quite a stir from the local populace, but after a couple of months and a lot of assurances, they are pacified. Trade between Middle Earth and Westeros continues to grow.

I See You

Far away in the lands of Nagaroth. The witch king Malekith used the Ainur Tel, an huge and ancient scrying stone in the hopes of finding new artifacts that would further help his cause. Eventually he would find a ring in possession of a small halfling, surrounded by what could only be Asur, Dwarves, Men, and a... Skink? He pushed the thoughts of the wayward lizardman on hold as he focused on the ring, which caught his interest. Then something unexpected happened.

"I See You"

(Communication between Malekith and the Dark Lord Sauron has been unlocked)

Turn 4 Events (Part III of V)

Festivities in the Empire

The Empire of Karl Franz is enjoying a unusual monster-free year, as the Imperial Census, that was established four years ago, reports that Greenskin attacks are at an all time low. That, coupled with the reintegration of Marienburg into the Empire, provided reason enough for festivities to be organized in all the Imperial Provinces. With Marienburg having the largest celebration of all, as the Emperor made great acts of charity. He also commanded the erection of a new dual temple to Sigmar and Manaan to celebrate the unification of the two states.

Strike Against Naggaroth

Asur forces commanded by Tyrion led a successful strike against the Naggarothi eastern coast, specifically targeting their corsair bases which slightly delayed the Drucci attack on the Tevinter Imperium.

The Black Prince Leads

The Black Prince Gashang continues to be a charming prince. He single-handedly organized hunts against Greenskins and Beastmen in the region and has soared in popularity as a result. He has taken to settle disputes and reach compromises between warring princes.

More news comes from beyond the sea. Ships from a kingdom known as Antiva tell of a vampiric invasion from a Von Carstein. They seek help to relieve their people from vampire aggression.

Also of note, the Dawi fleets of Barak Var sail west, to unknown seas.

Skaven Being Skaven

After four years of ignoring the obvious. Clan Eshin was not able to deny it any longer. After countless assassinations, and multiple wet work operations, they were not able to hold the secret in any longer. Multiple minor clans have made their moves as they attacked and overwhelmed the remaining territory and assets of Clan Eshin. Without help or direct intervention from the Great Clans, Clan Eshin will be doomed to extinction.

Turn 4 Events (Part IV of V)
Turn 4 Events (Part IV of V)

The Tournament of the Century

The tournament made to commemorate the 100 years of Targaryen rule would become one of the grandest events ever celebrated in living memory. Lords from all over and beyond were in attendance. Knight Errants, Imperial Knights, and even a Chevalier were in attendance. Many of them were greeted by the royal family, and the lords of many a region. Of note, some would take note that the Chevalier would prefer to stand away from the sun, and had very peculiar taste when compared to the Westerosi. Even Orcs and Minotaurs were in attendance. Which surprised many hailing from the Old World. Specially when they found them civil and vassals to the King that was hosting them.

After hundreds of broken lances, all kinds of knights proved their worth. Above all the rules of chivalry, another rule was placed upon the knights from far away places. If they were to compete in the tourney, they would do so without magic, as this was a test of skill and not of devotion. Nevertheless, the winner of the tournament would go to Jaques de Beaumarchais a Bretonian Lord and former peasant, who narrowly won the jousting. Also of note, was Daemon Targaryen who won the melee tourney and also the young Grover Tully, who won the marksmanship contest.

The feast in the tourney was something to behold. Nobles from around the world interacted and shared stories of where they came. Cheveliers, Imperial Knights, Questing Knights, and Westerosi knights all agreed that this was a great show and celebration of chivalry of the good rulership for the centennial dynasty.

Lannisters Play the Game

It was not all fun and games in the capital, as House Lannister did their best to follow the letter of the law set by the King. Citing their first men heritage to justify their employment of local magical practitioners. They also sent assurances to the King of stopping the acquisition of foreign magical prowess.

Winter to Spring

House Stark would take its time in attending the tourney, for they made stops at the Isle of Faces, where Elia Stark made contact once again with the Green Men that resided there. They also made a small stop near the Mountains of the Vale, where rumor has it that they talked to a passing lord Royce. Also in the area, they would find a herd of Minotaurs who went into the Mountains of the Vale. The clans didn't know what was coming to them, though the Giant Eagles did, from a high distance in the sky.

House Stark would also focus their resources in recovering from their war against Chaos and from the previous Winter. The keepers of Godswoods would be reorganized by House Stark into a new order of Clerics of the Old Gods to standardize their religious practice. Normally this would create great concern among the noble houses, but with all the changes to the world, and the resurgence of the creatures of myth, it was an easier thing to accept. Of all the lords, only House Manderly was overly concern about the religious resurgence. Making an open letter to the new lord of Winterfell to discuss the new religious changes to the North.

Law and Order; Minotaur Edition

The Minotour Domihaus was quick to send his Azure guard to combat bandits and do patrols around the Riverlands and uphold the King's law and peace. This would scare at first many a peasant, but with time passing, so did their prejudice a bit. They would inspire awe in some, and fear in others, as it was the way of things. Domihaus would also do a trip to Riverrun, and give his support to Lord Grover of Riverrun, who was very uncomfortable, but welcoming of the giant Minotaur. Specially after receiving incredible gifts. After that, talk of guardianship was raised. Overall, it was a good first impression.

Servants of the Mother

A group of holy woman would be seen across the Riverlands, claiming to be blessed by the Mother, who they call Mara, they would cure many a sickness plaguing the lands. Prayers to the Mother rise in the Andal world, and septons take note. Specially one close to the King.

The Seven Who Are One, Misplaced Optimism, and Dawi

Some members of House Redwyne would attempt to change course in their magical exploration while others did not. Led by Ser Gyles Redwyne and his squire Horas Redwyne, they set of with off with 300 Men-At-Arms and Knights, as well as a fleet of 30 ships towards the Ebonheart Pact, where they quickly traded their goods for enchanted weapons and spells. From there they went towards the Summer Isles, where they attempted to conquer some of their islands through ritual combat, and they planed to use their Ebony plate armor to their advantage. This would be their undoing, as the Summer Islands ritual warfare only allowed the use of spears and slings, and little to no armor. They would be expelled from the Islands by a squadron of Swan ships.

On their way out of the Summer Isles, they would make contact with a strange metal fleet. They claim to be a species known as the Dawi of Barak Var.

Lord Redwyne however, choose to pray to the Seven. Doing penance, and great acts of charity to show his house's commitment to the teachings of the seven who are one. His devotion would be rewarded eventually, with hallucinogenic visions. Whether these came from a constant inhalation of an incense-like substance, or divine intervention, no one would know. What would be known, is that Lord Redwyne, with some of the septons of the arbor, are convinced they saw a vision of Hugo of Hill, where the Seven choose him to spread their word to Westeros. One thing was clear to him, the answers to his question would be found in the lands of Old Andalos.

The Secret City Stands

The Dark Elves moved against the secret city of Braavos. Using their Black Arks and their fleets, the Drucchi made battle against the combined might of Braavos and its free cities. The one thing that the Free Cities had were raw numbers. They outnumbered them by many times their number. They also had tactical advice from Alith Anar, and it was thanks to this fact that this didn't turned into a completely one-sided battle.

Before the fleets with ballistas made battle against the Drucchi fleet, which had Black Arks among them, Alith Anar and his Shadow Warrios made raids on Sarnor, weakening the Drucchi docks, ships, and bases. They would be countered by enemy Shades, who did their best to limit the damage they caused. When the naval battle finally happened, it was only due to concentrated fire that the Free Cities managed to inflict casualties to the Drucchi's fleet. By the end of the day, a Black Ark flagship of the Drucci was heavily damaged, and a majority of their normal ships destroyed, but it was not enough.

Using sorcery, and the Lore of Metal, Druchii sorceresses will work a great ritual to animate the bronze Titan. Tearing it from its stone foundations, the Titan will drag itself across the lagoon like the torso of a legless zombie, smashing into the Braavosi arsenal and the pride of the city.

Due to their casualties, the Drucchi would not be able to assault the city, but it did managed to inflict heavy damage to it.

Lizardmen Expells the Drucchi, Tries to Take on Volantis

The Lizzardmen would, at first, be content with negotiating with the Drucchi. That is, until they found that their commander had a daemon bound to his soul, and this they could not abide. While the Drucchi were away, they used half their forces in Essos to assault the captured city of Sarnor, and liberated the slaves held there. Under the guidance of the Old Ones.

The rest of the lizardmen forces moved to conquer the remaining Free Cities. They easily made their way into North Valyria and attacked the city of Volantis, who had refused the Lizardmen's demands. They managed to collapse their outer walls easily, but they would find harder challenges when advancing inside the massive city. Priests of the Lord of Light 'R'hllor' made many attempts at countering the effects of the Lizardmen army, to limited effect. The one true obstacle that the Slann had was when they attempted to destroy the Black Wall (s) of Old Volantis. They would find these walls of Dragonglass to be largely resistant to their magic, for a time. As with each cast by the Slann, more and more would the Black Walls shake and weaken.

By the end of the year, the city would still be contested. The last city of Old Valyria is stubborn in its resistance, and have made many attempts to establish a truce with their lizzardmen invaders.

The Lordship of Imladris
3016 of the Third Age of the Sun/Turn 4

The Star of Eärendil
Founded following the Sack of the Realm of Eregion at the hands of Sauron during the Second Age, Rivendell has been the foremost stronghold of the Eldar in Eriador for the recent millenia. Taking part in the Last Alliance, the wars against Angmar and aiding the rangers of the north in securing the peace in Eriador it is a site of song and beauty, a secure valley and the last civilized sleeping place west of the Misty Mountains.
Now at the end of the third age many species and wise people seem to be gathering at the court of Lord Elrond and the sounds of Noldor smiths are ringing throughout its halls as an old sword and a new crown are made and a new age for old alliances may dawn.

SECRET
The time for doubt is over, Aragorn. The shards of Narsil are being reforged as we speak. Reveal your golden lineage to the world, become what Isildur could not be: A true king of your people. Stand by my side as I gather a council of free peoples, a council for a new alliance of the children of Eru. For I too have long enough doubted and hesitated. When Gil-Galad fell, when your ancestor, my brother left to rule as king, I thought myself humble, I thought there no need for a new High King as my people faded from Middle Earth. Now it seems like the Valar have trapped us in this world against our will. My people need leadership and unity. They need the young race of your people. We need to stand together if we are to triumph over the shadow. Will you stand at my side Aragorn? Two High Kings once more, leading the Free Peoples with Noldorin blades?

To: The Free Peoples of Middle Earth @EliudFS1 @EmperorCasey @Desdendelle @DanBaque @zingemir
The shadows are on the march, we must stand together if we wish to prevent another age of darkness to fall over all of Middle Earth. I call on you to send if possible envoys to my home in Rivendell. Great discoveries have been made and defeat of the enemy may still be possible. Be assured that the Eldar are still of this world and are already massing as we speak to strike down Sauron as we did Morgoth.

We will send ambassadors at once. They will journey on our fastest mounts. With your permission we may request to bring ambassadors from the Seven Kingdoms with our own delegation to merely observe. If we can convince them to come to our aid it would be a boon for us.

There is a meeting taking place that may prove influential in the war of the ring. Your people may accompany our own should it be deemed acceptable by the hosts of the meeting. We have made great effort to show your maesters the severity of this conflict and the great potential of your dragons. Would you attend with our own people to act as observers?

I am hesitant to allow men from a realm not created by the Valar to enter Imladris, even more so considering their reported affinity to ride the creatures of Morgoth into battle. At times when the shadows stir we should be vigilant not to allow our hospitality and agreeable nature to be taken advantage of, less we end like the Numenorians did when they allowed the enemy into their midsts given his fair nature.
However, it is my intention for this council to create good will between the Free Peoples and resolve for joint action considering the most dire of causes.
Thus I shall allow them to enter my house and observe deliberations that shall concern the nature of the enemy, our history in fighting him and his former master and agreements towards joint marching to confront him.
I however ask that they not be told that there shall be further things discussed during the council that I will not allow them to be witness to, changeable and unknown as their natures are, as too easily may thus secrets of most important nature be passed to the enemy. My beloved daughter Arwen shall host them during that part of the council.

OOC: Essentially I will throw the Westerosi out of the council before Frodo presents the ring, cause I am not risking that info leaking.

We thank you for your hospitality and will abide by your wishes for this council. We will ensure that the Westerosi are well aware of their status for this council. We only pray that such a solution arises from this council that may accelerate the triumph of the free people in this war. With the enemy at the gates of Minas Tirith the defense of our home has become an even greater priority.

A declaration to the Pirates and Free Merchants of the world, both Old and new! With his taking of Seheron the Admiral of the Dreadfleet has declared it a new freeport for all those who ply the waves free of the laws of men. All are permitted to dock at it's ports and no law shall constraint them, for upon the sea even death does not bind us!

So come scourge of the seas, displaced captains of Sartosa and all who sail under the black flag! The Dreadfleet welcomes all!

Manling Grog-king of Dorwinion,

The ironclads of Barak Varr have embarked at your ports and found your people to be good hosts, if uncomfortably friendly with the elgi. We would open up trade between our realms, so that gold and alchol might flow and our people be together enriched. We have also heard tales of dawi in the lands closer to you, of Karak Erebor, and that you have recently drawn steel against a horde of grobi and fouler things. Guide us to our kin and the Wine Lords shall have aid in the form of stout Dwarven steel and artillery.

King Byrrnoth Grundadrakk

@Altered
Thane Robert of Clan Redwyne,

You are another new sight to the eyes of the Karaz Ankor, one of the strange men of the far West. The Dawi have of eld had sacred pacts and trade agreements with the Umgi. It is said by your sailors that your hold is on a great island, plentiful in wine and protected by cliffs and waves. Allow the traders of the Karaz Ankor to dock at your ports and see these new lands for our own.

King Byrrnoth Grundadrakk

@Maugan Ra

Lizardlings of Lustria,

Children of the old ones, the Dawi greet you. Our peoples have warred in the past, but now we stand united against a common foe. Word has come that the dark elgi consort with our own twisted kin in the new lands to the east. The grudges against both of those foul forces far outweigh the ones against your people. We ask for cooperation against our common foe, and leave to embark on a great project. The seas of the new Western lands and those of our own can be easily connected if a canal is built through the isthmus of Lustria. If you will allow it dawi engineers will make it so.

King Byrrnoth Grundadrakk

The Last House

Kal-o i valaina, formerly known as Imladris
"Breath your patience into me, Súlimo." He spoke to himself as he regarded his grim reflection in the Gondolindrim mirror that hung in his room.
"Patience was never something you lacked." Celebrían's voice in his ear was so close he could feel her breath tickle his neck. For a moment his ageless wisdom left him, as he turned, thinking that even Noldori craftsmanship may not reflect miracles occurring. But no. She had not appeared before him. She was still gone from this world, now seemingly forever out of his reach, the only path to her undone.
He cursed his human side, so rash and foolish, before turning back to look at himself. Patience. So that I may see her again. So that I may endure the wars to come. Look upon me Súlimo. See me through the eyes of your envoy Mithrandir. I shall waver no more. Step forward and take the role I must for my people. He ran his fingers slowly over the flawless glass, saved from a city on fire, one of only five that had survived unshattered. His father's grandfather had also tried to hide himself away. To act only when roused, save behind walls and mountains, creating a home where his people might live in peace and beauty. Yet, the world did not halt outside of its walls and slowly the shadows kept advancing until the flames of Udûn descended on the kingdom of Turgon. Not here. Not this time. He wondered if Gil-Galad had thought the same before the razing of Eregion. He knew from Maglor that the sons of Fëanor had thought their victory assured during the long siege. He was certain that Finwë thought himself isolated from darkness before his blood was spilled in the immortal lands. Patience. These new lands and people were disconcerting, yet for now merely troubling. From what Glorfindel, his sons, Aragorn and other scouts told him they were like children, unschooled in the songs of magic or perverting and twisting them as creatures of Morgoth would. They would prove themselves noble or wicked in due time. The enemy however had already made its move. Chaos always gives the shadow power. The forces of the west cannot stand as long as uncertainty reigned. He had called a council to create unity, yet was unsure. The dwarves were ever focused on their own and their mountain lands, his people were few and far spread, the humans as ever fickle and unreliable. No. He still saw him standing at the Crack of Doom, his shattered sword still in his broken hands, yet not caring as he stared at the simple work of craftsmanship in his hands. The best of men. The greatest of your line, brother. And the line of humans had failed back then. Indeed when Mithrandir had returned with his little companions, Elrond had briefly seen it. Still as unblemished as ever, more perfect than almost anything Elrond had ever seen. Only the memory of the Silmaril in his mind could compare to that simple ring. And in that brief moment where the halfling's shirt had revealed that simple jewelry to him, Elrond had felt it mock him. Remember him. It must be destroyed. No matter what. For the sake of all free peoples. He opened the great warchest that stood at the foot of the mirror. It had been an entire age since he had locked his tools of war away, certain that from now on his task would be to use Vilya to heal and create instead of destroying. Still despite the long time that had passed since the Siege of Barad-Dûr, the sword remained as sharp as ever, the armour as flawless as the day Celebrimbor finished it. He patiently put the war gear on, one by one discarding his bellowing Vanyar silk robes, turning again into the young war herald he had once been. Kal-o i valaina - Light of the Valar, it had been Arwen's idea to have the new name be in Quenya, instead of Sindarin. A reminder of Valinor that was lost, a language purer than all. A call to vigil until the day that the straight path would return. When he was done he spend a long time studying his reflection again. Was he still there? The warrior of old? If so, why did he seem to unfamiliar? So strange in this new dress? Eventually he realized. WIth a sigh he took of the circlet of silver he wore to denote his status as Lord of Rivendell. Yes. There he was, a grim, merciless warrior, all signs of peace and wisdom discarded. Yet I will have to get used to a new headwear soon enough.
As he stepped outside his room he found his greatest warrior and advisor, the saviour of his grand parents and emissary of the Valar themselves await him. "Glorfindel." He greeted him grimly. "Tell me again of the Fall of Gondolin."

Turn 4 Events (Part V of V)
You what?

Queek Headtaker awoke back in the Old World, head bursting with several hundred years of new memory. His expedition to Tamriel had failed, he had been driven back by a man-thing named Septim, he had bound a Daedra and lived for centuries... and yet, he found himself back in the Old World, only a year after leaving, his treasury filled with soul gems, varla and welkynd stones, and a set of daedric armor resized for his small frame. His trip had been no dream, but what had happened?

Over the coming days and months, ships from the Septim Empire under Uriel V reached ports at Seheron, Antiva, and Lannisport. The world had changed again, and more suddenly.

I have heard tale of the Mer and Argonians (or so I assume the Lizardfolk attacking this Vorlorish to be) and ask what the Iron Throne wishes of it's servant. Know that at your command, the Black Guard will muster and see to the defense of Crownrim and Arryn, for if my understanding of your geography is correct, they are like to be first attacked by these forces.

Friend, if you have heard of the tales of Eshos, then doubtless you understand that those plaguing Vorlorish and Bravosh will not stop once they have bloodied their horns there. The sea between Akavir-of-the-West and Essosh is small and easily crossed by even the flimsiest of ships if your maps are correct. As you are the Viceroy of Trident, the defense of these lands falls to you, as is your duty, and as Stonetop is part of Trident, know that I shall support you in your efforts to ready these lands for foreign incursions. So long as it does not impede my ability to serve the Conciliator King, I will provide you with what help I can, both in terms of engineers and mages to shore up your eastern forts and ports.
