The Scourging of Lordaeron (Warcraft Quest Reboot)

@pianoman, @Night_stalker, @OSRFanatic0, @Artemis1992

I'm thinking of swapping around some reroll allocations in my plan now that its become apparent we can just lounge around doing training actions if we don't want to do something in a category.

How do you all feel about the prospective changes below? Because rerolls are more important than stats, I felt it would be better to place them in an area that would see more use since I chose Stratholme.

Martial: 9 (-2 Dice Modifier)
Diplomacy: 22 (+6 Dice Modifier)
Stewardship 15 (Reroll) (+2 Dice Modifier)
Learning 18 (+4 Dice Modifier)
Intrigue: 24 (Reroll) (+7 Dice Modifier)
Piety: 22 (+6 Dice Modifier)

I want to switch from Blood Mage to Astromancer, then drop the reroll onto Intrigue.

I know, it's just that high piety in the sense I understand the word, makes you less likely to betray your god and take his mantle, not more.
I fully intend to vote to steal the throne from Arthas. When the Illidan cracks the glacier open, I want us to beat him to the top and become the new Lich King.

@Delcer - I'll switch over to your plan if you do switch Blood Mage out for Astromancer, as I want either that or Nethermancer for non-stat purposes.

@Hanz
@Hydroplatypus
Since there's so much voting for consistency is there a way to come to an agreement between the other votes that do not have sins of the mother? Seriously it sounds really really bad.
I'm up for trying something, as Sins of the Mother seems like something that I don't want to touch with a 10 foot pole. Give me a second to review what everyone else is voting for and I'll try to come up with a compromise plan.

OK, here's a summary of all the plans that don't have

[] Plan Politician
  • Nethermancer
  • Natural Diplomat
  • Dilligent
  • Charismatic
  • Shrewd
  • Vain
  • Mana Addict

[] Plan Noble
(because I suck at names)
  • Overbearing
  • Magistrix
  • Natural Diplomat
[] Plan Hydro
  • Master Manipulator (3pt)
  • Magistrix
  • Vain (2pt)

First point of contention is on the profession. Magistrix vs. Nethermancer. While Nethermancer is probably better mechanically, due to the boost to intrigue, however I don't think it fits the character as well. All plans but mine have natural diplomat, which is really a trait that screams politian to me. Master manipulator in mine serves the same role, in emphasizing the polititian nature of our character's pre-Lich King life. So I really think Magistrix fits the character better. On Master Manipulator vs. Natural diplaimat, I'm willing to go with natural diplomat, as it fills a similar character niche to Master manipulator, so we're all agreed on that one. On flaws, we all have one 2pt flaw, so it's between vain and overbearing. And then there's whether we should take mana addict to get a bunch of cantrip traits.

So here's a pair of compromise plans, depending on whether we take mana addict or not. These are of course preliminary, as I suspect we'll have to hammer out a few things before we all agree.

[X] Plan Lord of the Elves
  • Magistrix
  • Natural Diplomat
  • Vain
This is the less min-maxy one where we don't get as many plusses, but we avoid the potentially crippling penalty that mana addict would impose, should we ever stay away from a strong source of magic for too long.

[] Plan Lord of the Elves 2
  • Magistrix
  • Natural Diplomat
  • Dilligent
  • Charismatic
  • Shrewd
  • Vain
  • Mana Addict
More min-maxy, but TBH, mana addict really does seem like the sort of thing an elven mage might have, given how close they were to the utterly massive fount of magic. Especially if she was one of the elven lords who ruled stuff, which would have probably seen her standing next to a massive mana source on a regular basis. I'm sort of coming around to this idea, simply because it seems so appropriate to the character.

Thoughts?

Of those two, I definitely prefer Lord of the Elves 1, probably because it is the same as Plan Noble except with a different Flaw.

Would be willing to switch to either of those two, though.

Also, I don't how to feel about "because I suck at names" becoming an official part of Plan Noble ;_;

I'm leaning towards Plan 2 initially, but after checking out the spread...

Plan 1
Ariseth Wintersoul
High Overseer of the Cult of the Damned

Skills
Martial:
12 - 6 = 6
Diplomacy:
22 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 31 (Reroll)
Stewardship: 12 + 3 = 15
Learning: 12
Intrigue: 27
Piety:
19 - 3 = 16

Plan 2
Ariseth Wintersoul
High Overseer of the Cult of the Damned

Skills
Martial:
12 - 6 + 1 - 1 = 6
Diplomacy:
22 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 1 - 1 = 33 (Reroll)
Stewardship: 12 + 3 + 2 - 1 = 16
Learning:
12 + 1 - 1 = 12
Intrigue:
27 + 2 - 1 = 28
Piety:
19 - 3 - 1 = 15

... there isn't much of a difference between 1 and 2, so I'd rather go with 1 to avoid the issue of Mana Addict entirely.

Back on topic, I'm fine with either plan too, so if a few more people weigh in, we can get this going.
Having a single reroll is probably not as ideal. Stats just don't affect our rolls as much as those reroll perks.

For complaints about sins of the mother, you can just take any of my plans and swap it out for Mana Addict and it won't affect the dice much. I think Sins of the Mother involves sacrificing our child to the Lich King, similar to the initiations the Death Knights had to go through by killing a loved one.

Sure, I'm perfectly fine with hat

The problem with Mana Addict is that statistically it doesn't give us much.

Each Trait point is worth 3 Stats. Mana Addict gives 3 Trait Points but takes away 5 stats across the board, leaving in effect only 4 extra stats to make up for the Mana Addiction. And if those 4 stats only are located in +10 areas, you only get +2 to your rolls for it.

Doesn't sound like something that'd increase your power though, unless we used its soul for a trinket.

I think it's more that our mother did something to us early on that'll come back and bite us when least convenient.

[X] Plan Lord of the Elves
  • Magistrix
  • Natural Diplomat
  • Vain
[X] Scourge-Commander Razuvious
[X] Arcanist Chillheart
[X] Brill

Razuvious can help out with our terrible Martial score and meh Stewardship. Likewise, Chillheart covers for our meh Learning and Piety.

I still insist on Brill because that's where we started originally before.

Plan Consistency has 6 Votes.

With OmegaHugger's as of yet posted Vote for Lord of the Elves, we'll have 4 Votes.

@BunnyLord and @Fluffiness, now that Plan Politician and Noble are both gone, might I convince you two to switch to Lord of the Elves instead? It has a much more well-balanced spread in stats.
