The Rules of Engagement (YGO/RWBY, CookieQuest)

[] Toon Barrel Dragon

So long as Blue Eyes doesn't win, I don't really care what does.

Quick hand count: Huh, surprisingly close actually.

Something like 7-9 Blue Eyes, 10-12 Red-Eyes, and 11-12 Barrel (Fairly sure barrel is in a small lead though).

*Hit's Alivaril with the newspaper I stole from him a while back*
Then vote for Red-Eyes!

Why? I am having trouble finding...

*stare*

Cannot attack the turn it is Summoned. While you control "Toon World" and your opponent controls no Toon monsters, this card can attack your opponent directly. Once per turn: You canSpecial Summon 1 Toon monster from your hand, except "Red-Eyes Toon Dragon", ignoring its Summoning conditions.

Okay, if that's accurate, I'm swapping.

[X] - Red-Eyes Toon Dragon.

On one hand I still hold a clear affection for Red Eyes Black Dragon...

On the other hand, looking at the current Red Eyes hits all of my 'Back in my day' triggers.

Then what better way to remember them than using Red Eyes to smash through our enemies?
Because that fancy-smancy Toon Red Eyes didn't exist back then!

What's this? Special summoning? Red Eyes Black Dragon is a 2400 beatstick, not some fancy teamplayer with special powers. You don't see Blue Eyes go around suddenly calling for help, and there's nothing Blue can do that Red can't!

... Other than beat a Dark Magician in 1-on-1 combat, I suppose.

Maybe, maybe not. I don't think Red-Eyes has an official Toon card... I don't think Barrel does either though. *Goes to look up* Annnd, never mind. They both have official cards, albeit Red-Eyes is Japan only. Still, that's really fucking good.

Wait... Hmm, I'm having trouble with what other Toon monsters would work in a Red-Eyes deck.

Yeah, uhh, I hate to say it since you're voting for the one I like, but there aren't that many cards its special effect actually does anything for and the ones it does are stars of Toon decks or need other cards outside of a Toon or Dragon deck (Like Dark Magician Girl really needing Dark Magicians to shine... well, she does have that new fusion card.) Anyway, there's like a dozen plus some Toon cards total and maybe 2/3s of those have some summoning requirement... maybe.

So, like I said, unless its a Toon deck (which Pegasus kind of already does) its... not that great. Unfortunately, I really like it.

Toon Summoned Skull would work though, counts as a level 6 archfiend for Black Skull Archfiend Dragon. Well, eventually. Not sure how soon we can get those cards. Or how much we'll be managing our deck, I imagine we at least get macro control.

I repeat my answer to a previous post.

Pegasus.

[X] Toon Barrel Dragon
[X] - A prototype Duel Arena, hidden deep under a royal castle. You see two boys with blue hair, far from parental oversight, quietly dueling with machine cards in the long shadow of the Arena.

Unfortunately YuGiOh escalated, beatsticks are useful for sure, but they need support cards to counter the bullshit spewing everywhere.

Pegasus.
I actually missed your posts after the guy I responded to until I posted that. Not sure which part of my post you're "Pegasus"-ing at though.

Everything. Pegasus makes the game, ergo, he can make any card a Toon Card.

[X] - Red-Eyes Toon Dragon.

[X] - A holographic Duel Monster generator, conjuring life-like illusions. You see a boy and a girl, brother and sister by their similar faces, projecting their favorite dancing Monsters with delighted giggles.

You know I always liked Pegasus, I lost track of the anime midway through GX but I did like it when I knew what the hell was going on.

Too bad its kinda hard finding good fanfics of it.

All of it.

Forever.

Being an eccentric/insane billionare/creator of the game allows for a lot of things.

GX got a little silly, but they were trying to Deconstruct Yu-Gi-Oh, so... *Shakes Head* I only got part way through it myself, recently read up on the ending though.

I haven't found any good ones. Semi-decent YuGiOh quest on anonkun, its original flavor as well/though. On hiatus. *Shrug* That's about it. NaughtyBanette was running one over on QQ too, but that's long dead.

Pegasus.

In more than one word.

Pegasus would turn anything into a toon because Pegasus.
And yet Ironically none of the Toon cards are Pegasi. Nor are there any Rabbits.

You've missed a golden opportunity, Maxiillion.

Not that Red Eyes was a good beatstick, even back in my schoolyard-playing days... Was definitely a cool one, though.

It's legit. And I can imagine Pegasus being all for toonifying Red-Eyes support.

Flubbed a quote box there. And... yeah, 2400 was decent. Didn't really see much higher way back in the beginning unless you bought the Blue-Eyes or Dark Magician starters... which of course, everyone did. Can't remember if there was any good/decent equipment to use on them back then either, as that'd bring them up to beatstick very quickly.

Still, awesome points count.

I know, looked it up right in the second sentence there. And... hmm... I can... kinda get behind it. Black Skull needs a Normal Red-Eyes though. Unless that gets a Toon version as well. We're going to need so many Field Spell searchers and protectors at that point though, one thing I really don't like about Toons, they die when their Field does. Its why I want a Red-Eyes/What-have-you Deck with some Toon cards rather than an entire deck of them.

I mainly dig it because our deck is explicitly called the 'Saturday Morning Hero' deck, and Red-Eyes main character with supporting cast fits that to a tee. In contrast to Pegasus's 'Loony Tunes' deck motif.

Also, even if it's forever off, I can't help but imagine Ruby back in Remnant using bullshit Egyptian Soul Magic to summon up Toon World and pulling in Grimm to make Toon Grimm. Or even better, pulling in people and making them into Toons. Can you just imagine Toon Nora? Because I can.

Well don't look at me. I don't know much about Yu-Gi-Oh other than some bits about the show. I'm fine with making unreasonable demands and letting you guys do all the hard work.
