The Rules of Engagement (YGO/RWBY, CookieQuest)

Assuming we're playing with mostly non-anime rules, this and red eyes are the only candidates that are any use. Soul exchange can only carry the game so much, and getting useless seven drops isn't a good idea. Maybe my mindset is wrong for the anime timeline, but blue-eyes and barrel dragon are really worthless you'd have to do some wasteful moves to even get them onto the field.
I would assume Anime rules, if any.
Dueling: This will be mostly automatic, so the QM doesn't bog down the quest with single-round updates. You'll decide on a plan and the character will uphold that plan. The Heart of the Cards is real and depends on your willpower, desire, and belief, as well as the stakes. Your Deck will be up for revision, but keep in mind - how dueling works in this world is far different from how it works in yours.

I feel kind of dirty going for Toon Cyber Dragon, and then picking the Rhodes siblings right after, rather than Zane, but goddamn do I love Cyber Dragon, and twitch at monsters that require two monster tributes and only have high attack to their names, though I'm going to have to brush up on toons and their support cards, since I'm not very familiar with them

If it isn't the actual duelest kingdom rules then I'd rather avoid them because the part of my mind that's screaming at me to minmax the deck is going to get driven insane.
Minmaxing our deck, given that Heart of the Cards is a proven thing and we won't actually be controlling the duels, seems a bit pointless.
Unless by minmaxing you mean maximising the amount of cool cards to non-cool ones.

Rather have are own dragon instead of A toon version of someone else's.
Of course, Barrel Dragon was used by Bandit Keith. so it isn't entirely our own.

It isn't someone else's signature, though.

.
Oooook, if you're going to say that cards only have value in their aesthetics then I'm going to say I disagree with your idea that toon barrel dragon looks cool. It looks butt fucking ugly, the only ones beating it out is toon cannon soldier on the badly drawn scale.

But really, I'm skeptical the aesthetics matter at all.

Because Red-eyes have a hilarious amount of support cards just for them, and even counting Blue-Eyes support cards are easier to get out on the field. Poly with any Archfiend gives a 3200 Red-Eyes monster as well and Red-Eyes has a unique poly magic card.

I have some custom cards I made for the Red-Eyes as well if @SolarFall is interested.

So I know this might not work because of it being a toon card, but if Red-Eyes wins could we go full Meteor B. Dragon? Dat 3500 attack would be nice.

*Don'trust this man he is shit at making decks*

Hey I.......eh, fair enough.

I assume we'll have some of the normal variants and make something of a Red-Eyes deck with a Toon focus. Even without that some of the support cards for Red-Eyes would be useful as they specify working on "Red-Eyes" monsters. Which the Toon version still is.

Toon Red-Eyes deck would be the shit, and I bet Pegasus would be all for it too. With toon-ified versions of its support and fusions it'd be a nifty little contrast from Pegasus's ALL THE TOONS to just have the one Toon with all the support for it. Like, Loony Tunes vs. Woody Woodpecker; only instead of a woodpecker it's a firebreathing dragon.

I guess Blue Eyes is a bit overdone. Changing.

Not really, its just... you can't make a deck around them alone. They don't have enough Blue-Eyes theme cards to make a deck out of it (and one of the cards they do have is fucking Kaibaman, just no), so you'd need to expand into more Dragon cards to fill it out. Or make a Blue-Eyes/Black Luster deck. Which is... not bad a bad deck really from the support cards I remember for both, but might be considered a little too specialized/a little too Special Snowflake.

Is there any other real choice besides the dragon made of guns. Plus blue eyes already gets enough love in the anime already.

Black Eyes Red Scythe Dragon? A custom card that has the exact same everything else of the Red-Eyes?

... I want to say that's silly, but *Wonders off to look-up half-remembered card* ... Ah, Red-Eyes Black Dragon Sword is a summonable fusion monster (via magic card Claw of Hermos) that can be equipped to any other monster and gives 1000 Atk + 500 ATk and Def for each Dragon-type on the field/in the graveyard.

... Its... yeah.

There's also a Bazooka attached to the Hermos summons as well, but it needs a warrior-type to sacrifice for summoning it.
