The Rising of the Shield Heroine

I think the other classes wouldn't be available until 30, 50, and 70; as the four classes she can pick from are all Advanced classes that have a level cap of 20 rather than the cap of 10 for her current Base Class.
Almost exactly right: the current progression is that you have to 'max out' a class before you can switch it. Maxing out a Base Class requires 10 levels, maxing an Advanced or Expert Class requires 20 levels, and maxing out a Prestige class requires 30 levels. Thus, 80 levels are required before you could make a 'full circle' of the class tree.

And yes, it's possible to double back at any interval, but doing so would drastically slow the growth rate of your stats (you'd lose out on 4 or 6 stat points per level) and would delay gaining the advanced skills and abilities until you could grind through 20 more levels. And once levels get over 60, increasing them takes time, and that's not counting the 25% EXP drain to level a secondary class. (EXP applied to a secondary class is multiplied by four, so the default is a 25% drain. You can set it differently to power level the secondary or leave it untouched)

Ah, the levels I noted were for when Taylor would be able to select the next class based on the total number of levels she's gained; so she's level 10 right now selecting the first advanced class. That class maxes out at 20, so she'd be overall level 30 when she'd get to choose the second of the four. And so on.

Boss Fight Music
Below is my idea of what would have been playing for each of the currently face Boss Fights in the series. Taylor has yet to get her Soundtrack yet, so I'll post them here.

Forge Spirit: Phyrnna - Rage of the Abandoned

Shadow Stalker (Sophia Hess): Aviators - Paralyzed

question wouldnt it be 10+20+30 for a total of 60 lvls or is there something that I am missing about it?

Ooh, Phyrnna. You have good taste in audio (as an aside, Heroes March is one of my favorites). And Aviators too!

On that note, have you heard of Miracle of Sound yet?
There are so many good ones... All As One, Wake The White Wolf, Ascension, A Thousand Eyes, Gráinne Mhaol, The Tale Of Cú Chulainn, Only Us, Through Life And Loss...
Although Let There Be Fire is special, since they worked with the Aviators on that one. :p

Personally, I'm hoping we get The Day of Fate ~ Spirit Vs Spirit as the soundtrack for one of Taylor's battles.

You know, for enemies like the S9, who Taylor absolutely can't forgive.

oh i was seeing it as advanced and expert being the same thing but just different names, not that they are different levels of classes

Ah music. Got a song that really fits. Especially for the eventual conversion of Trainwreck into Bogatyr.

[Verse 1]
When I was young, couldn't stand to believe it
Somewhere there was a sun left to shine
Now my heart won't be still 'til I've seen it
Won't be still 'til I've made it mine
There's a fear, can't be seen, it surrounds me
As afraid of the dark as the light
Was a time, long ago, these were safe streets

[Refrain]
Now I'm the only one that keeps me alive
Keep me alive!

[Hook]
But I know a hero will come

[Verse 2]
There's a face that I've seen in the windows
There's a face of a stronger man
When I turn, as a leaf when the wind blows
Gone away is the will in his hand
You've been fed what they wanted to feed you
You've been bled of the will to survive
Now you stand just as long as they need you

[Refrain]
But you're the only one that keeps you alive
Keep you alive

[Hook]
But I know a hero will come
And the night, the night will be torn apart
And I know we won't fight alone
And the spark that we carry will turn the dark into
A flame, a fire, a light

[Interlude]
There must be an end to the darkness
There must be an end to the darkness
There must be an end to the darkness
There must be an end to the darkness
There must be an end to the darkness
No one will come, this city is dead

[Bridge]
But all of your heroes are gone
And the blood that they spilled is on my hands
A darkness will block out the sun
Not a thing can be done with so few men
That a hero couldn't do!

[Verse 3]
When the voice from the shadows calls you
When the wind whips past your ears
Will you stand when the weight is upon you
Or will you go to your knees in fear?
There's a chance, though I know it's a long shot
And the city's out of time
All for naught if your heart stops beating

[Refrain]
'Cause you're the only one that keeps it alive
God, keep it alive!

[Extended Hook/Outro]
But I know a hero will come
And none of your heroes are gone
(We can hold out)
Someone's got to
No one left to
Bring back the light (Past this endless dark)
And I know we won't fight alone
A darkness will block out the sun
(All a fire needs)
If we can't find a way to hold back the night
(Is a single spark)
But I know a hero will come
And all of your heroes are gone
(We can hold out)
Someone's got to
No one left to
Bring back the light (Past this endless dark)
And I know we won't fight alone
A darkness will block out the sun
(All a fire needs)
If we can't find a way to hold back the night
(Is a single spark)
And I know a hero will come
And none of your heroes are gone
(We can hold out)
Someone's got to
No one left to
Bring back the light (Past this endless dark)
And I know we won't fight alone
A darkness will block out the sun
(All a fire needs, yeah)
If we can't find a way to hold back the night

Man, choosing music is hard... if you ever need music for an Endbringer battle, FFXIV music is great for that, but character themes can be tricky. I like your choice for Shadow Stalker, though!

Forge Spirit: Phyrnna - Rage of the Abandoned

Shadow Stalker (Sophia Hess): Aviators - Paralyzed

Stalker's theme - didn't entirely pay attention to the lyrics first play, but I really enjoyed the role reversal, and the melodies work really well.
In other words, great choice, I enjoyed it and laughed at the irony.

But the Forge Spirit soundtrack was amazing. I can totally see it as boss music.
Really enjoyed the choices here.

Almost exactly right

Damn! Well, okay.
Forge Spirit: Phyrnna - Rage of the Abandoned

Meh, lack of rythm.
Shadow Stalker (Sophia Hess): Aviators - Paralyzed

Ah that one is good.
The Day of Fate ~ Spirit Vs Spirit

That one too.
for the eventual conversion of Trainwreck into Bogatyr

Not bad, but I think something russian would be more adapted... Need to think on it.

Okay, I'm completely lost for your classes selection and progresion but, It works for you so I'm okay. Still, reading between the lines, you're projecting to take one of the 4 classes you wrote up to the Prestige level and maxing ALL the levels so that you won't have problems with your stats.

Well, even if there's no vote, the consensus of the forum seems to point at the Warden class.

That second song... holy shit.

Like, I had every expectation of hating it, music that involves the word "dub" tends to be... horrible at best in my experience... but holy shit that bass line. And the lyrics! They totally fit with Shadow Stalker thematically! It could use less techno vibe to it, sure, but it's still great.

The first song, on the other hand... that's pure drugs in music form. The good shit, too. I need more, I am an addict now.

Instruments of destruction fits when a Endbringer approaches

And Dare when Taylor and her Team enter the battle, if they leveled up enough to justify it

Or The Touch when Taylor is still alone and high enough leveled

Not a quest guys, we don't have any influence on Taylor's choices.
Sorry, it looked like it was being presented as a Quest, or we were being solicited for input. It was late at night and I was tired.
I responded in the traditional way for Quests on SB/SV/QQ.

"People underestimate healers" as about 3/4 of the thread wants a healer class while singing it's glory.

See, that right there is why I don't want a healing class. Because it is OP, and thus it is always picked every time. And story wise it takes a big old bite out of the tension and drama in most fights, because you can just slap a healing spell on any wound a character takes. Just yuck.
Actually, I was thinking more of the offensive caster aspects being fun, with the healing as an auxiliary ability.

About music - let's hope Taylor doesn't end up in a situation suitable for this soundtrack:

:V

Looking at the original source material for The Gamer rather than just RotSH, the MC's caster class was something he imposed purely on himself.
In "The Gamer" MC don't have a class at all, iirc.

Honestly, warden seems like the best choice, but the absolute invulnerability of defender is whispering into my ears. Could either of those classes no sell thinkers?
