[X] Hint the knowledge to your Brilliance Knights so they would join the ongoing crisis to carry out their sworn oaths and gain experience from it.

I'll bet it's a dedicated Martial character and we really need that.

With a bit of luck we'll get a few to choose from. I'm guessing they'll all have Martial as their primary but with a bit more luck there'll be one with Stewardship or Learning for their secondary.

Damn, oh well.

Cycle 29.1
[X] Hint the knowledge to your Brilliance Knights so they would join the ongoing crisis to carry out their sworn oaths and gain experience from it.

After some mental debate in your head, you came to a decision. "We'll not make grand shake-ups now, not when we're not in a good place to capitalize off them. But I don't think we should just standby either while this is going on." You tapped at your desk to begin drafting up messages. "This should be the perfect chance for some of our wandering Brilliance Knights to fulfill their oaths of service."

"Even if they don't break free, the various vassals of Orochi will likely still see some degree of discontent and conflict," Radana mused with a nod. "In that chaos, they shall see to save whatever light they have and gain knowledge of what is going on."

"Precisely. It's all about gaining blessed and valuable information to make better future plans," you declared and began to craft up a mask. Perhaps worried civilians that would write public letters expressing fear of the ongoing situation that should appropriate tug at the heartstrings of those wandering warriors. "A rather neat twofold solution in my opinion."

"It may be so." Your friend's expression turned dour for a moment. "But I still hope that mere observation is not where they stop at, but to leap from the sidelines to take action. That, I think, is the nobler push that would see word of our warriors spread."

"I'll be sure to make it especially stirring then to incite them into action."

When the news of the dockyard's remodeling hit the public consciousness, most simply shrugged and went on with their day without much change. It was the expected response to be honest, with the average citizen not particularly concerned with anything smaller than those classified as warships. Cruisers did make a few pause, but given that they were the bulk of House navies, they were more assumed and associated with regular orbital defense instead of being the spearhead of system invasions.

However, there was a curious subset that took mention of the dockyard's retooling with more gravity than expected: rare ship collectors. They were rather eccentric and wealthy individuals who traversed the galaxy in search of uniquely distinct ships that few could boast the privilege of owning. Now they turned their gaze to House Iris and were eagerly pushing for the right to purchase any Wisteria-class destroyers that may still be in stock. Apparently, being the first destroyed designed under your reign and serving briefly in an internal civil war before possibly be phased out made it quite an attractive product.

Kat didn't have the heart to tell them that the plans weren't exactly going anywhere. Or maybe she didn't have the tongue for it, stuttering and stammering through the entire meeting with them. The Hyacinth Prism got the impression she was misunderstood, but well, if they were going to contribute vast sums of wealth to House Iris' coffers, there wasn't anything she could do to stop it.

The crate was kicked open, revealing the very much illegal and smuggled stash of weapons that had been listed as 'essential' baggage for the would-be pirate struggling against their bonds. "We trusted you," told the leader of the city pioneers and gestured. "Take them to the jail. We'll call Kingsdream and ask for them to handle the court procedures for us."

"Ragh! How did you find out? Which one of you sold me out?!" The pirate snarled while being dragged away, their former associates who nearly were roped into the scheme looking anywhere but at them. "We could have been our own kings, instead of slaving to a stupid queen that doesn't know shit-!"

That earned a dirty look from some others who looked longingly at the crate of weapons, tempted to turn them on their owner. But that base instinct to immediately defend their monarch passed and they simply urged a charge of slander to be tacked onto the pirate's case file. Word was that there was a Lycoris Knight in Kingsdream, and they certainly wouldn't take kindly to somebody speaking so harshly of the Solar Queen.

Much to said Solar Queen's embarrassment.

Dorothea exhaled noisily and checked both ways before slipping into the bar. She braced herself but only a few glanced her way, none of them paying much attention afterwards. It seemed the trick of leaving her blessed armor of office behind did the trick, along with a casual dress and different hairstyle than normal.

Emboldened, she strode up to the counter and took a seat, giving an intriguing smile to the bartender. From a purse, the off-duty Lycoris Knight produced a set of hard credits and placed them on the wooden top. "What will this get me?"

The lady raised an eyebrow and picked up one of the physical credits, definitely checking to make sure it was real. Dorothea couldn't blame her, counterfeit credits was a fairly common scam and without a digital transaction with all the electronic checks that came with it, one really couldn't be too careful. But she had asked and withdrawn these from her own bank account only a few hours earlier, so these should be genuine.

And it appeared the bartender agreed, sweeping them up into a pouch for deposit later. "It'll earn you a few drinks at least, so tell me, what do you fancy?"

"Something sweet and sugary please. I'd like to relax for now."

Codec Post: I GOT MY SHIP!

Picture: A youthful individual is smiling for the camera and posing in front of a somewhat faded, but still daunting frigate hull.

Text: It finally happened everybody!!! All those jobs as a company pilot finally paid off, I saved up enough to buy a secondhand frigate from somebody looking to settle down. So it's already got all the refits I wanted even for trading! I'll be looking for crew soon, hit me up if you want a free ticket to the stars!!!

KnightOfNew: Congratulations! I'm slightly jealous, but I wish you all the best. Here's to the newest merchant in the United Empire!

MerTrail14: Oh wow, you really made the jump huh? From trading in the game, to trading for real! I hope you find success, be sure to actually follow all the actual laws yeah?

-> RainySun: Oh come on. Surely, it isn't that hard?

-> MerTrail4: No, it actually can be. Merchant Trail dumbs down a lot and gives you cheats like being able to instantly know prices of stuff in realtime. That isn't how it works in the real life, I dabbled a bit before deciding it just wasn't for me. Don't get me wrong, it's very fulfilling, but you definitely need the determination for it.

-> StarScholar: I mean, yeah. Note how Merchant Trail never talks about the nightmare that getting a trade license in various territories can be. Of course you can flash the one issued by the United Empire and get port anywhere, but actually buying and selling goods can vary depending on the region.

-> RainySun: But I thought one of the membership conditions for being part of the United Empire was free trade? That sounds silly.

-> StarScholar: In principal yes, but only for common Grade 1 goods that won't earn you much. Grade 2 needs licenses, and that comes with all the fun headaches you can imagine. Don't even try a Grade 3 unless you really want to make some people angry. And by some people I mean House troops.

SolPatriot44: Good, we could always do with more traders in the United Empire! Just be sure to not go into Free State territory- I bet they'll arrest and seize your cargo on false charges to extort you Maybe they'll even impound your ship to add to their fleet. Bastards.

- Social media posting? Eh, guess I'll give that a shot.
- Kat rolled the exact same roll as last turn. That's sort of funny, but not great for your progress. Especially with the bad Violet roll.

The Stellar Guard New
Within the legions of House Sol's personal house armies, there is a specific subdivision dedicated to those who directly serve and protect the Stellarchs through the ages. This is the Stellar Guard, an elite military unit that have pledged their lives to the wellbeing of the United Empire. As that directly ties into the safety of the Stellarch, it means that they are the personal custodians for the line of House Sol.

The Stellar Guard is typically composed of recruits solely from the Core worlds, though allowance has been known to be made for special talent from beyond. One does not enlist for such a position, instead being scouted and recruited early on in their military careers. If accepted, they are transferred to the historic headquarters on Saturn to undergo the intense and brutal training process. Fewer than thirty percent are able to handle the physical and mental challenges thrown at them, those washing out often going on to find career success elsewhere.

If the recruits pass despite the odds, then they are first assigned to the outer divisions of the Stellar Guard, those who typically are the vanguard for military action taken by House Sol. They are also attached as special operation units to the Great Houses if the Stellarch sees fit, a double edged sword where these elite operatives will silently observe how their allies fight to prepare for the day they are enemies. It is rumored that there are special task forces within Stellar Guard dedicated to counter tactics for each Great House, hidden blades ready to act the moment treason is shown against the United Empire.

For those who serve admirably and with distinction, the greatest honor is bestowed in the form of palace duties on Mars. They must undergo additional training first such as expert siege tactics or personal tutorship but when done, they are those who see to the daily needs and health of House Sol. It is a chilling thought that those ceremonial parade attires worn by these palace guards hide some of the best body armor in the galaxy, and that each stoic individual is sure to be a veteran capable of coordinating a defense in depth whilst conducting a bomb diffusal.

Celeshiro would it be possible to extend an offer of a personal knight order dedicated to the protection of the stellar-arch, to house sol?

Celeshiro would it be possible to extend an offer of a personal knight order dedicated to the protection of the stellar-arch, to house sol?
That's actually a pretty interesting idea, but you'll probably have to push it as a vote through the Senate with the support of House Sol. The other Great Houses would cry favoritism otherwise, so it needs to look like as if the majority vote actually wants it so. As a reminder, you can gain the political initiative by completing your current political agenda (which was to raise House Sol's Wealth score).

Cycle 30.0 New
You reflected briefly on the time that had passed since the last Senate meeting and hummed. Looking on what you had achieved since, it was mainly preparatory support infrastructure for your current ambitions. A rather passive and inner focus on growth instead of foreign interaction, though there were sparks here and there of the latter.

There were those diplomatic overtures to House Archon, which were about to hopefully bear fruit. You knew your best friend had pulled through in the end, working her magic to tie a rather solitary people closer to your own. An exchange of wealth was about to occur, along with the resulting cultural intermingling if they were so interested. It had mostly been an effort on your part instead of theirs, but you weren't going to complain when they proved eager and ready to trade all the same.

Of more explosive interactions was the entire debacle with Great House Orochi. A small scowl worked itself on your face and you rubbed your chin in thought. What rotten luck that your operations had coincided with a joint effort between rivals, resulting in an accidental aggravation of the situation. It bothered you so, to be unintentionally causing such accidental chaos in the wake of your conspiracies. You far preferred yours to be a controlled sort of collapse, where you knew exactly where everything would fall and land.

A small part of you wanted to yell and send a very sternly worded letter to Tyto and York about butting out of your prey. It was a fleeting fancy you idly crushed before sighing, wondering what to do next. Of course you had already begun subtly directing errant Brilliance Knights into situations where they could find themselves at the heart of the coming disruptions, hoping that some would shine brilliantly when faced with such challenges before them. That was only one part of what you could do though.

Great House Orochi was reeling, on the back-foot. While writing them off already was a grave underestimation, they faced foes crippling their reputation and power from within. Drastic and sudden action was needed for survival now, something that threw a lot of things into question. You needed more information.

That was when your desk flashed with an incoming data package. You snapped out of your musings and quickly checked over your latest information tap, eyes widening at from its transmission source. The information tap you planted in Mars, in the Senate building. Something was going on in the back chambers.

It was audio only, which was to be expected of the information transferring secretly through the FTL beacons, piggybacking off other media streams. You let the capture conversation play out and immediately recognized the voice, that belonging of a representative from Orochi. It must be the follow-up from a Senate session covering some other part of the United Empire that you weren't involved or invited to sit in. The contents were equally as intriguing.

"We need to conserve all our political resources to prepare an appeal."

"So was that why we have not voted on anything? We hide our blade for now."

"Yes. Keep it that way, and ready to draw it when the moment comes. None will expect it."

None but you. You couldn't help it when the dark chuckle escaped from your lips. Well now, wasn't this an interesting secret to be privy to. Already, you could feel your webs spinning, the darkness encroaching on your struggling prey, ready to pounce-!

You let out a very improper screech at the sudden blinding lights when Radana exasperatedly flicked the switch upon entering your office. "Stop plotting in the dark, it's unbecoming of a Solar Queen."

"I will change my title to a Night Queen, and you can't stop me!"

----[ ] Number of Cells Committed

--[ ] [Intrigue] Military Salvage.
Have some of the more volatile troublemakers start rattling military targets, forcing deployment and perhaps even conflict. From there, have your spies discretely observe their operations while also paying handsomely for recovered salvage to study back home. Gain insight into a power's military structure and doctrines based on operational success. Minimum one (1) Spy and two (2) Cells. Each additional Spy and Cell assigned increases operational success. Requires four (4) progress.
---[ ] Requires Target Faction
----[ ] Number of Spies and Cells Committed

--[ ] [Intrigue] Disillusion Voters.
Stir up a storm of sour feelings and negative attitudes towards the current regime through infiltrated agents spreading misinformation. Add in a spice of chaos from political violence, and suddenly the people don't feel like supporting their current government. Reduce a power's Senate votes depending operational success. Minimum (2) Spies and one (1) Cell. Each additional Spy and Cell assigned increases operational success. Requires six (6) progress.
---[ ] Requires Target Faction
----[ ] Number of Spies and Cells Committed

--[ ] [Intrigue] Diplomatic Incident.
Plot and conspire a significant diplomatic incident to occur under this power's jurisdiction, perhaps even souring relations between them and another. If it gets large enough, it could even be the spark for open conflict! Sabotage relationships between two factions based on operational success. Minimum (2) Spies and two (2) Cells. Every additional two (2) Spies and Cells assigned increases operational success. Requires six (6) progress.
---[ ] Requires Target Faction (and other Faction)
----[ ] Number of Spies and Cells Committed

--[ ] [Learning] Outfit Troops. Consider what the gear your soldiers carry into battle, and create a new outfit for the boots on the ground to equip themselves with. Cost varies.
---[ ] Requires Troop Unit

---[ ] Infantry. The very basic, but essential, foot soldiers that both take and occupy ground when ordered so. Even with mechanized transports, they move fairly slowly around on the battlefield but when it comes to holding the line, their numbers help absorb dire hits. Requires four (4) progress.
---[ ] Artillery. When more finesse is needed on the battlefield, it is the role of land artillery units to provide. They can bring some of the biggest guns of an army's arsenal to bear to flatten terrain and eradicate any remaining resistance from dug-in units. However, this comes at the price of being incredibly fragile and vulnerable themselves. Requires five (5) progress.
---[ ] Mechanized. Quick and fast fighting vehicles tear across the battlefield at lightning speeds, launching surprise attacks wherever gaps present themselves. While their weapons bark away at the enemy, the doors come slamming open to unload the infantry squads within to aid in the assault or begin already digging in. Speed is key for all in the unit. Requires five (5) progress.

--[ ] [Learning] Design Ship. Break out pencils and call up interested naval contractors to kickstart the race to create, prototype, and sell an entirely new spaceship design for your forces. Cost varies.
---[ ] Requires Ship Type

---[ ] Destroyer. The smallest of notable navy vessels, but vital for domination of local space along and necessary for group troop transports. Requires four (4) progress.
---[ ] Cruiser. Large voidships that traverse the stars and make up the bulk of any fleet that crosses systems. Requires six (6) progress.
---[ ] Warship. Humongous and heavily armed voidships that are not subtle in the very least. It is said that calling one to arms is all but a declaration of war. Requires eight (8) progress.

--[ ] [Learning] Design Aircraft. Defense contractors all but salivate at the call to design a new generation of fighter craft, the chance to leave their brand across the galaxy be it on planets or in space. Requires six (6) progress.

--[ ] [Learning] Consecrate Order. Begin to gather Brilliance Knights under the formation of a new Order to add them to your active forces. Once supplied properly with a planned selection equipment and recruits, they will enthusiastically take on their sworn roles and fight in your name. Requires eight (8) progress.

-----[ ] Requires Civic or Military focus.

--[ ] [Learning] Awaken Solarium.
The unique material of your people has strong cultural and religious significance owing to its empowering nature. Work with it now to unlock more of its potential for exploitation. Research option. Cost varies.
-----[ ] Requires Civic or Military focus.

- As mentioned before, this should've been done earlier if I wasn't unfortunately delayed. It's done now, and I was able to catch up on some things I forgot like your new Resource cap. Might be useful depending on whatever happens soon.
- So what this means is that House Orochi is NOT voting this Senate session. They're sacrificing all their voting rights as a Great House across all the sessions they sit in to push a special agenda issue for the next Senate to presumably seek aid for their crisis. Consider how that might affect the current standings.

14 hour moratorium to sit in the dark.

Are we going to use our free character to try and mess with the alliance between great houses? It would be dangerous if that solidifies.
It would take quite a bit of build up for that to be possible, but it is possible. I personally favour sending Dorothea to guarantee the retool finishes this cycle. Then use her and Violet the cycle after to rush a cruiser.

[X] Plan: I called Dibs
-[X] [Character] Dorothea, Lycoris Knight
--[X] [Intrigue] Infiltrate Spies.
Send in covert agents to infiltrate a faction's bureaucracy or hierarchy, either individual spies or teams of operatives working together to begin a plot. Increases Spy count in target faction by two (2). Requires four (4) progress.

Instead of building entirely new factories, spend time reworking existing production lines to refit to new kits. Cost varies. Will be more time-consuming the more different the swap is.

If people are interested, I would encourage them to vote. We've only got two votes as it stands, and it is tied.

Oh snap! Sorry been a few days since I checked the quest. Thank you for the update!

Cycle 30.1 New
[X] Plan P3P3: Big Iron

(Production Retool (New Helm): 1 +17 (Kat) +13 (Andernia) = 31)

Progress: 6/8. In Progress.

(Production Retool (New Helm): 32 +7 (Dorothea) +13 (Andernia) = 52)

Progress: 8/8. Completed!

The Solar Drydock has completed retrofitting. It now increases Military by six (6), and decreases Resources by three (3), Wealth by six (6), and Influence by three (3).

"T-there!" The Nemesia Prism babbled, all but shoving the launch codes into the masked faces. "Here's what you need to take off, for sure this time! Now please, let the others go-"

The bridge flashed with light and blood suddenly coated half the control console. There was a curse a moment later and one of them elbowed the shooter. "You dolt, the price just went down! The collectors paying for pristine ships, not ones with blood on them!"

"We'll lie and tell them it was taken from the battle," they suggested with a shrug and holstered their smoking gun. "That'll drive the price back up, knowing those maniacs. Doesn't matter either way, we're about to make more credits than any of us have ever seen before!"

"True," conceded their comrade before activating their radio. "We have the codes. Get ready for take-off."

"What about the other hostages?"

The casual execution order was on their lips but they paused, an idea coming to mind. With a nasty smirk, they explained their new plan. "Throw them into the brig! We'll make a bit extra on top with some slaves."

"A little tip on top of our sale? We really should raid the Frontier more, these dumb fucks are a free piggy bank!" The cruel chuckle was matched by the other hijackers on the bridge of the stolen Wisteria-class destroyer, absolutely sure that they would get away with their biggest heist yet. Nothing could stop them as the ship began to maneuver for launch from the storage bay.

They didn't notice the figure climbing up on a maintenance crane just outside.

Dorothea saw the flash and swore. She gritted her teeth and pulled herself up the final beam, activating her helmet radio. "Kat, they just executed him. I'm sorry, I wasn't fast enough."

"I…" There was a choked sob. "I see. B-but...don't leave the others."

"Never," she vowed and closed the connection. Her arm came up and withdrew the LL-MQ-1 from the magnetic attachment on the back of her suit. There was a quick check to make sure the special ammunition was loaded, then she inhaled before focusing intensely. Across Dorothea's entire body, circuits burned to enhance every single aspect of her flesh, allowing her to confidently leap off and take aim with blazing eyes.

The motion finally drew the attention of the hijackers on the bridge and there were panicked shouts. In their haste and arrogance to seize control, they hadn't been able to warm up the point defense weaponry to immediately target this unexpected threat. But surely, the reinforced glass combined with the armored bridge shutters should shield them.

The Lycoris Knight pulled the trigger and the customized sabot round fired, a special bullet hastily forged by Kat upon request. It impacted and the material around the site formed a spiderweb crack, much to the horror of those within. Another shot, another portion compromised. The armored shutters cracked and groaned, but like those poor officers onboard Callerya had discovered, it was painfully and sluggishly slow.

There was a reason why this specific destroyer and her sisters were in storage, and not out in the general market.

Her rifle clicked dry already, the nasty drawback to the special ammunition Dorothea had loaded it with. She poured more energy into her arm before hurling the gun straight into the fragmented glass with all enhanced strength. It struck with such force that the area bent backwards and she knew this was it, crossing her arms and reinforcing her skin to something like iron.

Against the weight of her Guardian Suit, the bridge's final layer of protection failed and the Lycoris Knight landed inside. Inside, she gasped, feeling a half a dozen or so shards pierce through her protections and prick her body. Yet it was nothing than a mere annoyance that was filed absently in one part of Dorothea's mind. The greater part was burning even more energy, the last of her reserves, to accelerate her reflexes and dodge the first burst of gunfire. This was the final stretch, her last task in the plan to distract the leadership while others assaulted from more conventional angles to retake the stolen destroyer.

Her pistol was unconsciously drawn and Dorothea got back to work after her brief vacation.

(Request Favor (Trade Agreement- Archon): 42 +16 (Radana) +13 (Andernia) = 71)

Progress: 7/6. Completed!

A Trade Post has been built in Bastion, increasing Resources and Wealth by two. -20 Goodwill from House Archon (Current Goodwill: 0)

The well-dressed scientist counted down the seconds before clearing his throat. He nodded to the other aides and told, "I do believe the procedure was a success. Stand back please." Once he was sure they were a safe distance away, he held his breath and tapped a button on the console, sending a digital all-clear signal the one laying before them. Then he hastily stepped back too, and just in the nick of time.

Glowing green eyes snapped open and the air about the pod suddenly began to howl, delicate parts of the machinery shaking and rattling under the force of such pressure. Lab coats flapped about and more than a few instinctively covered their faces, trying to shield themselves from the worst of the abrupt storm. Then, with a clenched fist, it died down just as quickly, suddenly brought back into control.

His hair slightly windswept, the aide brushed at his attire before addressing his people's leader. "I see you have taken well to this new construct, Gale Valya. Is the remote piloting matrix stable?"

"Yes, I'm confirming a steady connection to my true self." They experimentally flexed their fingers, studying the reaction time. "Acceptable input lag, much better than the common doll."

He let out a relieved sigh he didn't know he had been holding. "Excellent. And your requested special feature…?"

Valya's face morphed into a grin and they gestured with a hand. A compartment located in the forearm suddenly opened up and a neat little feather was suddenly ejected right into their construct's waiting fingers. With a flick, the device activated and a holographic book unfurled, a representation of the built-in storage system integrated into the converted synthetic feather. "Yes, a perfect installation!" They chirped and experimentally wrote some lines to much eagerness. "House Iris may not exactly be leaders in technology like us, but they have heart and soul to their creations. Precisely the things we value the most, don't you think?"

The scientist smiled knowingly. "More than others know."

"I truly must thank them when we meet again in this upcoming Senate," Valya declared and climbed out of the pod. "Let's be on our way already, I can't wait to finalize our trade agreement!"

"Before you do so," mentioned the aide with a cough. "Clothes."

"Ah. That would be an embarrassing mistake to make in front of the noble Solar Queen."

(Found City (Prydwen Serol): 69 +10 (Violet) +9 (Calenwyrm) = 88)

Progress: 6/4. Completed!

Prydwen Serol has been founded, increasing Industry by five (5) and decreasing Resources by five (5).

You wanted to curl up and weep in despair. All your effort to make sure that pirates didn't try to lay claim to the leadership of the new city, all for naught. For they became something much worst.

"Tired of all the hustle and bustle in Kingsdream? Want something a little more warm and personal? Then Prydwen Serol is for those desiring intimate companionship."

"Radana! This is terrible, they somehow still acquired booty-!"

"Oh stars, did you really have to phrase it that way?!"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Yeesh, that crit 1 from Kat was a big yikes. Good thing Dorothea was there to pick it up from there. Still, that was an interesting narrative thing to do.
- Thanks to the Trade Post from House Archon, I do believe you've gone overall neutral with the Solar Drydock conversion too. A small Influence dip, but now you have a Trade Post. Neat.

Second Senate Meetings New
Unlike last time, where you had been tragically swarmed by various representatives from the other powers, your trip to Mars this time was far more low-key. Few glanced your way when you stepped off the envoy ship, and there wasn't even any media news crews dedicated to recording your arrival. It was incredibly pleasant and you basked in the brief moment of anonymity, praying it would forever stay this way. Yes, you wanted to be the ignored face, taken for granted so that few knew you as the true webmaster behind everything!

Behind you, Radana rolled her eyes. She only needed to see the glint in your eyes to have a good guess of what you were thinking. Still, she allowed a moment of indulgence before clearing her throat to voice her observation, "I believe everybody has noticed something is up by now with Orochi."

You blinked back into the actual political atmosphere. "I guess it's not exactly subtle when they start waiving a lot of their votes."

"Indeed, even on the topic of military improvement. Though they obviously would benefit if it did pass and some of their defense companies picked up those contracts." She raised a finger to cup her chin in thought. "But teatime gossip reveals their real goal to utilize all their political power and push forward an emergency agenda."

You smacked your lips. "That desperate, huh?" You commented and rubbed your hands. "They'd throw their fate into this pit of snakes and pray enough of them don't bite too badly."

"Indeed. It's a delicate situation, especially if our worst fears come true and Ababil decide to side with Orochi to make a clean split." There was a visible shiver from your best friend. "A split civil war within the United Empire…"

You grimaced. That was definitely the worst case scenario, where the power disparity was so evenly split that both sides would pummel each other for likely little gain. House Sol could do naught but watch as the Great Houses abandoned their responsibilities for war, leading to the Core to starve while the Free States went 'liberating' the smaller vassals without protection. If the very worst came to pass, it very well could be a second Age of Troubles if restraint gave way to unchecked destruction.

Your arm rose up and rubbed at the side of your neck, matching a groan that escaped from your lips. That was definitely the worst case scenario that you were pretty sure your sire would have been disappointed in. But it was only a possibility for now. Either you made sure that Orochi didn't ally with Ababil, or break up the chance of Tyto and York forming a true alliance. The former meant condoning the Great House to being teamed up on and ripped apart, while the latter was a power bloc that could be problematic if they started thinking about taking on House Sol afterwards.

Then there was the entire case of the Free States! Especially with the House Kelon campaign about to commence, they were likely resting on a hair trigger and ready to react to any offensive action. Something that they could market and sell as a 'war of aggression' and use to drum up their own support for a counter-push. Kelon was likely not going to be talked out of launching their attempt at this point in time, but perhaps if their attempt actually had the backing of the United Empire behind it, then the Free States would have no chance but to focus on the defense. Thus leaving you at home safe.

Radana caught your eye and closed her eyes. "So much to do, so many ways we could go." The orbs opened to lock onto you. "But you alone determine what cause is worth the sweat and blood to be shed by House Iris."

You nodded somberly. "But maybe I could hear some opinions and thoughts before deciding what to do."

"As you say. I could reach out to any of the others and try inviting them for a personal conversation. Which would you like to meet?"

Vote what three (3) Houses to meet!

[ ] Stellar House Sol. The line of the Stellarch, the figurehead of the United Empire, and a personal connection to you.

[ ] Great House Orochi. Born and lived warriors who never refuse the challenge, seeing only the lessons learned.

[ ] Great House Ababil. A delicate chemical mix of knowledge and mysticism to pursue the limits of enlightenment.

[ ] Great House Tyto. In silence does the truth speak and act among the blessed minds.

[ ] Great House York. Chaotic diversity that never agree upon anything but respect the power of strength in uniqueness.

[ ] House Archon. Find the inner wisdom about and give it the ability to talk so.

[ ] House Kelon. Stubborn determination to make every step a drop of blood spilled for a greater cause.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- This is more going to be a social vote to gain the possible perspective and arguments of what each power feels about ongoing situations or the upcoming votes. Think of it as a way to get to know them better through their leadership.
- Feel free to vote for multiple, just that the top three will be getting the conversation spotlight before we move onto the vote arguments from each sponsor.

14 hour moratorium to host talks.
