The Radiant Shepherd - A Warhammer 40K God-Emperor Quest

On the topic of Kryptman he was planning a saner defense and giving worlds time to evacuate. And then you all gave him a tarot message that the Tyranids were coming in endless numbers. So he decided that there wasn't enough time and he needed an immediate solution.

Oh......so our bad then.

Next time we do visions we ought to take this into account, maybe next time we give visions to Kryptman we indicate whether or not he has time then.

—[X] This new mission is one that requires tact and care. Though the Aeldari are a manipulative and arrogant lot, they are the most "agreeable" of the Imperium's foes and we could stand to gain more through working together than against each other. As fate has it, the Craftworld most agreeable to such an idea, Iyanden, is about to be attacked by a Tyrannid Plinter Fleet and if things are to play their course, 4/5ths of their population would be consumed and their fleets decimated. If we were to prevent that from happening, this might be a gesture that would prove to them our intent for cooperation. If they in their prideful arrogance refuse to accept this help at first, ask them if they are "going to let their pride get in the way of salvation from their doom". And do remind them that they should summon Prince Yriel as soon as possible, his Corsair Fleet would be invaluable and he has a weapon that could hurt the Tyrannid Hive Mind if used on the Swarmlord.
—[X] Oh, and also we should get around to reinstating the Sisters of Silence, they would be invaluable to have.
-[X] Aid the Navigators of Valdor's Fleet to let them reach Iyanden in time -3 points

—[X] Show the Lord of Ultramar that thousands of worlds will be burned and trillions of lives lost, all for a delaying action. But this need not be, for Kryptman's plan is workable if there was more coordination and restraint involved. Show him what could be if the Sons of Guiliman and Kryptman were to work together, with soldiers of the Emeperor holding the line while evacuating all that can be saved at hard points, and when the Tyrannids seem like they're about to overrun a planet, they're consumed in an inferno, with every repeat making the Hive Fleets smaller and smaller. Then show him where he can go to talk with Kryptman.
-[X] Bless Kryptman to be in a more cooperative mood, that the burden he carries is one that should be carried on one shoulder, to be more receptive to deviations from his plans if they are reasonable enough. -1 point
-[X] Leave 2 Points for the other shards to use. I'd offer more, but I need the rest to ensure that the plans against Hive Fleet Kraken go off as smooth as possible.

The problem is not that kripman is capable of exterminatus entire sectors, the problem is that he is going to donit all at once. We want a mine field, for thise planets to fight till the last man and once the nids start eating then blow it up

indeed we should convince kryptman to make it a figthing retreat in wich each world evacs and fight to the lest, then blow itself up to take down as much of the hive fleet as possible

just blowing a huge sector is less useful than spending the hive biomass

Eh, why the points on the Plague Fleet? Acting against a principal agent of Nurgle isn't likely to succeed, even if it does, there's no follow up after the curse like a fleet to put down Typhus or something. Really should put the spare points in blessing Valdor, Kryptman or the Thronewrights imo.

The thinking was that since the 13th Black Crusade is coming up, one of the opening moves was for the Plague Fleet to spread plagues in Agripinaa so this will hopefully blunt that. But if other people are in favor, I could spread the points to Blood Angels or the Thronewrights.

I say focus on the Throne Wright's, or the Angels at least. We can put forth a more focused effort on the Plague ships if we feel the need later, or possibly boost our own apothecaries and Medicae to experience greater success in curing and combating plagues in general, rather than directly combating another deity. We could possibly bless the entire imperium in resisting disease, though that would be a ridiculously minor blessing overall…

I wonder if, after Lyanden, we could work on gathering a force to collect Isha? If we free her, she'll be in our debt, a ridiculously experienced healer, and also likely in need of our aid to protect both herself and her children, as she clearly isn't anathema to Chaos like we are. Perhaps she could heal our body…? It would be a VERY long-term effort of we try it, but it's a thought.

If we're blessing anyone, I'd say we find a new sister to raise up like Celestine. Give her actual reinforcements.

Or we could get ready for Trayzn to throw his collection at Cadia, scoop up whoever we can get back.

I reccomend exchanging the cursing the plague fleet for something to helo heal emps
scout callaxis, bless the throne wrights etc

we have limited points so may as well go for options that have long term effects

If we're talking about replacing the Plague Fleet curse with something else.....

1. Give a Blessing to the Black Templars since in canon they were at Cadia during the Fall, so buffing them could help us at least on the Ground-Battle
2. Bless the Imperial Fists so that we can stop Pertty from taking the Phalanax like he did in canon
3. Bless the Ultramarines, even though they might not need one, at the very least we can decrease any casualties they might face while fighting the Nids so no more are lost before Guilliman returns.
4. Give another blessing to Celestine, our girl can never have too many in my opinion, and since she'll also be at Cadia we'll want her as strong as we can get her and deal as much damage to Abby as we can.
5. Throne Wrights can always use blessings to speed up their work
6. Curse disloyal Tech Priests who learn more towards the Machine God and/or are against our new wave of Innovation, no need for them to hold us back if we can help it.
7. Bless the Sanguinor to further inspire the Blood Angels and hopefully resist the Black Rage more.
8. Reverse of 6, Bless the Loyal innovative Tech Priests as a reward for their loyalty and for not being useless wastes.

If we don't wanna curse people, bless the disloyal tech priests so that instead of seeing the new wave of innovation as heretical, they'll view it as the machine god forming a new sub-group. They, those holding to the original doctrine, maintain the first truth- maintaining and preserving knowledge- while this new group is tasked with a second truth- discovering new knowledge to build on the old.

Adding to the mechanicum rather than changing it- adding new truth to build on the old. Finding the Mechanicum finally worthy of further Blessings from the Omnissiah.

Skew it as the past 10,000 years being a test that they have passed- the old guard now maintaining that first sacred duty, while they've earned the honor of a second new duty that the new guard will perform.

Utilize their religious zealotry and frame this change as a reward for good works, rather than them being wrong or failing their god.

Thoughts?
