[X] Lazuli Hillcrest, I won't be specific but I'm already in my late twenties. It was my husband Jarvis and I who decided on our marriage.
- [X] I do feel truly honoured, but I try not to draw to much attention to myself. I hope my in-laws will accept me.

I like this option because it at least leaves the door open for us and our husband actually being in love with each other, which would be nice.

Is there any chance you can tell us if this just the standard start of a videogame tour that takes up zero time and has no consequences sort of thing?

I was thinking it could be a choice of potential routes to unlock, some by finding people around town and others by them being at the mansion right now. However, I could also say that there's a chance wandering around town might lead to you being ambushed by one of the combatants and having the catalyst stolen.

[X] Why yes, that's pretty much Jarvis for you.

I am interested in the ashes as well, thinking it's likely to be a catalyst.

Are all the options Catalysts though? Some seem like they might be Mystic Codes.

In that case I'm definitely choosing to head home.

So, if we choose this, is our husbands age and our opinions towards each other locked in? Basically, is it possible for us to be of similar age, or at least have him not bee too much older, and already a couple that genuinely love each other.

Honestly, the same questions probably apply to the Lazuli choice if to a lesser extent.

remember that the blossem option means that the protag will have far less control of her life than if she is choosing to get married. that means that we could have problems due to interference from the hillcrests if we diverge from their plans.

Guys, we should be voting for the most independent protagonist, not the one with the least amount of personal agency.

Also changing my vote a bit.

Still don't know what any of the Catalysts are but I'll throw my lot in with the ashes. Definitely don't want whatever it is to get stolen though.

All of the options for what's in the package are catalysts, choices for Mystic Codes will come just a bit later.

Also, to give people a slight hint, I will say that two catalyst options are for Servants that've appeared in canon (if in fairly different forms), two are for Heroes that have a direct link to canon Servants, and another two are for Heroes that have a looser link to canon Servants.

The younger Blossom would've gone through an arranged marriage, the older Lazuli would've had choice her own choice in the matter, yes. Did plan for Jarvis to be around the same age as you either way.

Could people explain why they want the younger protagonist in an arranged marriage rather than older one in a marriage she chose to participate in?
The younger one would probably have less experience and less control over her situation. Also if we're in a marriage of our own choosing then that means we probably have a better relationship with this Jarvis person and he's more likely to take our side on things.
I just don't understand the reasoning here.

^I'd say the choice would depend on whether you'd think being in an arranged marriage would make for a more interesting story or not.

Good to know. Age thing is a relief, but it sounds like of the two Lazuli is the choice significantly more likely for a loving relationship to be preestablished, if it's even possible with Blossom, so I'm going to stick with Lazuli.

Also, I just like Lazuli as a name more then I like Blossom as a name.

^I did consider going with Cheryl as a name over Blossom (both obviously being a reference to Sakura), but thought Blossom would be less 'normal'.

remember this is still the fate universe, leaving ourselves open like that is just asking for trouble given how things tend to go for idealistic and naive characters in this setting.

Character interest mostly, plus Grail Wars are...well, much easier on younger Magi because older ones don't tend to adapt well to their lifelong assumptions being upended.

That its a mutual arranged marriage of similar ages also means we get to play through getting to know him(and thus like him on his own merits) rather than just make it backstory

Hey guys! I'm new to this whole questing thing and this seems like a great place to start. Gimme a heads up if I'm doing anything wrong, or if there's something I should keep in mind. Thanks in advance! ^^

Now, personally, I feel like getting to know Winterwood, meeting new people aside, will give us a massive tactical advantage later, since we'll know the town better, and will be able to locate other masters much easier, as well as generally having a better idea of what the area is like when the war actually breaks out.

But if Blossom is Sakura, how does Lazuli relate to Rin?

Lazuli actually relates to Aoi (who wasn't a Tohsaka by birth, but anyway), I was just trying to think up a fancier name than 'Blue'. Though picking the 'no need to humble myself' would've made her more older Rin/female Tokiomi (mostly in looks for that last one).

Anyway, was about to close votes, however I think I'll leave them open just an hour longer.
