The Prices We Pay

This sounds pretty nice and harmless, so I'm curious how it will lead to tears and damnation.
Ah, but you see, the most important thing are the mental scars and psychosises you pick up on the way. :)
This risks insanity but that is not a minus for me, sanity is for the weak.
That's always a good attitude to have.
@Azel

Is this in any way linked to Shadows of the Past?
Yes, they share the same world, though literally half a world lies between the starts of the quests.

And no, since Shadows never began to dip into the meta-lore, that quest contains no hints that would be useful here.

I'm not going to comment on the opinions about the current voting options one way or another, but it's definitely quite nice to see some vigorous discussion already. :)

Oh, shit, this is the same world as Shadow's of the Past?

I'm a bit jealous we won't get any neat ancient civ loot this far north. Hopefully we get something.

Didn't want a meta advantage, I'm just super fuckin pumped to deal with Flesh Spiders and rogue spirits again.

The mortal aspect of the world building was also on point for my personal preferences, the sense of adventure and (re) discovery.

I am so very glad to hear this, I know Tales of History was your most popular but Shadows has been my favourite by far.

Well, you get a working, living civilization around you for a start. :V

Mind you, the probability of this connection even mattering within the next 1,000 or so pages is very, very remote, but I felt it wrong to deny an entirely correct guess.

Glad to hear that. :)

Mind you that the local gribblies are entirely different and a different culture has quite a different perspective on them, so don't expect the word "spirits" cropping up all that often.

[x] To See The Unseen

As others have said Fate seems like too much of a gamble, and charm provides to little protection and may draw too much attention from things unseen. So this is what is left.

@Duesal

Do you hear a challenge? I hear a challenge.

Edit:

@Azel

As @Duesal alluded to, do we have the IC knowledge of the various regions of the world from the intro to that quest?

Do we know we are in the relative North?

[X] Strange Charm

Really tempted by To See the Unseen just as a reader because it unveils more of the world. but I think this is less likely to get us sliding down the path of insanity.

Still pretty close.

Odd. I had expected more support for Tsunder-Dice+.

...I knew you were a horrible, horrible entity deep down, but I would have never pegged you for CHAOTIC Evil

Huh.
Must have been a wild few days, hm?

M'yeah, still no great gap.

@Azel, what's your update-speed gonna be on this, at least roughly, if no great secret that is?

I'd like to know whether there is need for me to check every 10 minutes for new discussion, like with ASwaH :V

Whatever it will be.

Some attention was called to the fact that I just love to overwork myself and burn out (for evidence, look upon my previous works and despair!), so I have no set schedule or even a rough goal in mind.

Whenever the mood strikes me and the vote seems clear enough.
