Before everyone hops on the fire bandwagon, what are we doing with it? Are we reigniting the bonfire in an attempt to distract or scare the thing? Are we grabbing a branch, lighting it and waving it at the thing? We should think a little bit more on the how and why of what we are doing lest we start a forest fire and burn down the town on accident.
While I can understand the reasoning behind that logic I think your plan has the opposite problem. When I was reading that I wasn't sure what you wanted out of it. If you wrote, 'reignite the bonfire' it would be it a lot more clear what you are thinking the your current plan. My other worry is, What reason do we have to think it fears fire? Don't get me wrong, using fire is probably the best bet we have but it would probably be a good idea if we try and think up a backup plan in case fire doesn't work.Yes?
The bonfire being re-ignited is a pre-requisite for any plan involving fire, if there are branches nearby it wouldn't hurt to have directable fire too and is also kind of an obvious act to defend yourself from something you know fears fire.
Distraction is the selected action though, we shouldn't be chasing it into the woods, at the moment we are on top of a cleared hill so one of the least likely locations for unintended spreading of fire, likely why funeral pyres are done there in the first place.
I don't want to get into the habit of plans having more words than updates this early into the quest and I think @Azel would tell us if we haven't given enough direction.
A bit more detail then effectively a 1-word plan would be appreciated.I don't want to get into the habit of plans having more words than updates this early into the quest and I think @Azel would tell us if we haven't given enough direction.

"says a thing", or "says anything"
"the"
"begins"Then it is over and her eyes sink to the ground while she beings to walk past you towards the village.
"arm's"
"Kveta's"Still puzzled by Kvetas weird behavior, you almost yelp as you turn around.
"lose"With no one to bear witness to you speaking to thin air, there is little to loose.
Not strange as Kvetas father when he stayed at the tavern for too long
It's arms swing wildly to keep it's balance. Every time it's hands are drawn through the tall grass, a few stray strands of it fly away.
And when they finally are within an arms reach of another, they both stuff.
The creatures arms shoot upwards, it's clawed hands firmly locking on the sides of aunt Svajones skull.
Missing or extra apostrophes. Also, probaably "stiff" instead of "stuff"Teeth like needles take on a life of their own, the dirty brown things ringing the monsters mouth suddenly twitching like a spiders leg, hungrily grasping for anything that they can get a hold of.
The area is cleared and the grass around it pretty wet. You have sone leftover branches and assorted detritus around you that didn't burn entirely, but no logs or other things to keep a fire going for long.Okay so what is flammable around us?
We're on a cleared hill, are all the materials of the pyre burnt or are there still remnants of whole sticks/logs/branches?
Is the clearing in long grass or short, is it dry or green and fresh?
Are there branches and such within reach? I don't think we have time to go and get something if it's not already basically right next to us.
Most importantly, how long can we make this fire last?
Glad to hear that they are appreciated.

A bit hard to see, but at least you can spot some bits of torchlight from the village. It's maybe a 15 minute walk for you.How far is the hill from the town and can we see the town from the hill? We lost sight of Kveta behind a bush so I'm assuming there's no direct path.
