We don't want to pull a Stanford or be the cliché "They rejected my application, so now I will ruin them" kind of Mad Scientist, Allura must have some class to her villainy, not too much pettiness that will make her ineffective.
@Nystical if the players rob a bank, later use that money from the bank robbery. Mundane political rivals will not be able to trace the cash or link the bank robbery to Derek, as technology levels improve, or on backstory investigations into political rivals?
Robbing a bank is the kind of skeleton in a closet that I'd expect could end political careers. I just want to be sure that no realistic consequences that went unmentioned are possible with robbing a bank in this quest.

Assuming the actual robbery itself goes well and it is spent smartly, it shouldn't really be feasible to trace the cash using bait money. (From my research, bait money is a series of bills with known serial numbers that are given to robbers so that if they are later found in possession of bills that match those serial numbers, it is an additional piece of evidence that potentially ties them to the crime, but if you carefully spend it at like a grocery store or something it's not like they could trace who paid with which individual bill after the fact)
Another thing you could potentially do to make bank robberies more lucrative or safe would be to have some pistachions 'infiltrate' (as in, get hired to a significant % of the workforce) at the bank and/or local police.
As far as technology, the window is definitely closing on that front regarding more advanced security cameras, dye packs, etc, which would make it that much harder to accomplish and to profit from without help from institutional infiltration.

Underhanded Success
It was quite simple to create a paper trail that would let you fire some of your lower performing human employees just in time for you to hire some pistachions to replace them. Creating new metrics of performance that couldn't be met, installing a time clock and tracking the length of bathroom breaks (said breaks pistachions don't need to take) and so on.
Follow-up action unlocked.
-[x] Save your money to purchase something DC 40 (reduced)
77+25+5 = 107
Critical Success
Thanks to your new position as a manager of an office, you've managed to negotiate a significant pay increase along with it, and as such have managed to save up a considerable amount of money to spend.
With Lance coming to you with some longer term plans and crucial steps being completed, you can probably shift focus towards maximizing income and investing wisely.

(Modern Weaponry: 113/100)
You went back to the shooting range, and now that the sprouts were old enough, they were able to come along with you. And now that you and your oldest generation of sprouts are familiar with guns to varying degrees, it should be relatively easier to pass on that knowledge to the future generations.

This year was your last year to spend a lot of time with the sprouts at home before they would have their own lives and identities legally distinct from your own. In fact, according to your legal birth certificates, you and your sprouts were born in the same generation.
So when you had the opportunity to go on a trip down to florida, you wanted to make sure to take at least one of your sprouts with you, and Keith was the one who had the most free time in his schedule to go with you.

In the months leading to his attendance at the University of Kansas, Hunk decided to see if he could find stuff that was thrown away that he could repair, or at least scrap for parts and practice with hands-on engineering work.
He found the remnants of a partially destroyed bike and was able to fix it up a bit to working condition.

Work on the Ranch (121/60)
After working on the ranch for a few years, getting guidance from a veteran, Katie feels like she is finally ready to do all the work that is required of a ranch hand and the original owner has agreed to sell you the ranch. On top of that, she also thinks she is now ready to pay the favor forward and train future generations in ranching, which could be a great way for them to gain practical experience with one of the largest parts of the local economy and keep them in top physical shape.
However, you might have to do something about establishing proper homeschooling resources for the sprouts for more academic pursuits once your population booms.

Rhys Darby voiced the king pistachion. Given he didnt have a name kevin cant name the ranch in honor of him directly, I figured this was the next best thing
So when you had the opportunity to go on a trip down to florida, you wanted to make sure to take at least one of your sprouts with you, and Keith was the one who had the most free time in his schedule to go with you.
No no, I was just making a joke. You how Florida is memed a lot on the internet for being a crazy place? (at least from what I've seen) That's what my joke is about.
Your father had entrusted you with some of his ideas and strategies for securing pistachion dominance to learn from.
You think an important first step for the long run would be to create some kind of institution to provide a way to pool the economic resources of individual pistachions together, while preserving the anonymity that each pistachion is supposed to have from their non-related identities.
Of course, creating something for the express purpose of accepting freely given money from random unaffiliated people could be a red flag to the outside world, so you would have to create something with at least the appearance of legitimacy.
To address these needs and concerns, a few ideas coursed throughout your mind:
Perhaps you could study finance, learn more about the stock market, have your sprouts infiltrate various companies' accounting departments, and use their insider knowledge to make investment decisions. It's not quite pooling economic resources directly, but it could still get you a lot of centralized wealth to use to fund future projects. Or you could form some kind of hedge fund and have pistachions as clients providing the capital necessary to make investments.
Alternatively, If you want to focus primarily on gaining control over Kansas itself, you could start a real estate investment company and have pistachions paying rent as a way to consolidate all of your separate finances. This could later turn into doubling as a real estate development company, perhaps being able to provide high density housing designed by and for pistachions throughout the less dense Kansas, to provide homes for a large and rapidly growing population, and could allow you to profit from your father's insight of real estate prices going up. However, this might be a difficult choice to start out with until you get some starting capital.
Otherwise, you could create a company focused around one or more products or services and have pistachions as either a built in loyal customer base, loyal workforce, or both, depending on the industry. It could be a good way to ensure you have supply lines set up for critical resources, as well as providing jobs to your fellow pistachions by profiting from selling to human customers. You could have sprouts infiltrate your competitors' to learn about their strategies and operations for your own benefit. But you might have to think carefully about what market you enter, plus it could require taking a leadership role which you'd rather not have to do, so you may need to perhaps raise a sprout of your own or pick a sibling to take on an eventual CEO position. By the time you graduate college, your first generation of sprouts should be just a few years shy of starting college themselves anyways.
Lance gets a long term goal.
