I really, really enjoyed this quest. Not really much intelligent to say on it, but I got excited every time I saw this update for about ~2 years, so I'm glad to see this finish so well (go Ambraea!) and sorry to see it go.

Oh god oh godddd you actually posted it in my birthday I missed it but holy shit this is the best present aaaaaaaa

Ahem.

That was such a perfect conclusion to the quest. Just... the snippets of everyone's stories weaving and unweaving together, the little patches of forward movement as a lot of the persons we met and worked with and against all this time were shown to also move forward with their struggles and come to face the new status quo, and the little disjointed pieces progressively coming together to culminate in the beautiful tapestry that was the Oath. Just Beautifully made. Grace's segment was, again, familiar to me, if by proxy of my mother; but honestly Idelle and her unexpected team up with Deizil and Keric was the salient one for me. Just... how well it worked to illustrate the world keeping on moving for everyone else and not revolving around Ambraea. But honestly nothing tops the Oath, not only on the sensory image and spectacle department, but in how well it evokes those first halcyon days where this was the equivalent of a highschool quest full of easy complicity and comradery, and how it illustrates those bonds perpetuating into this new, brave future all these women are facing. I am so so proud of them all, and eager to see what they make of the world before them.

Congratulations on writing this masterful piece of art, that has lit a flame on so many people in this forum. Your mind is such a creative and compelling country, and I am glad to have been invited to visit this little portion of it. Here's to many more [if you want to, that is]

Since we're already talking about it:

The follow-up quest to this one, A Vision in Bronze, is going to take place starting in Realm Year 770, after a five year timeskip, and will star Singular Grace. As she and her Circle are occupied with attempting to mitigate or prevent the chaos of the coming Realm Civil War, she is going to find evidence of unknown forces plotting to make the conflict worse, and will end up reconnecting with and working with Ambraea to solve a series of successive crisis.

A Sidereal quest is obviously going to be a bit different in several ways than a Dragon-Blooded secondary school quest, but I have been thinking about doing this sequel for almost as long as I've been running The Last Daughter, and hope that people will enjoy that as well.

I don't have a strong sense of who Singular Grace is yet, she's new to the position. But I want to learn more.

Ambreae's characterization is so strong I'm sure she'll be good too.

Now I see this description with all I know about Sidereals being from this Quest and it sounds like its gonna be really cool, too.
