Feynman station because if it works it's going to require new explanations for all the things.

How about we write a book with our personal action now that we are getting famous? Our own Art of the deal.

Capitalizing on the renown to increase the visibility of Little Klondike is certainly a must.

It would be a great opportunity to raise the political capital of LK by noting the stabilizing impact the nation's independence has had on the region, and how it's history and model could be followed up on by other actors if feasible.

This could easily turn into a "star power" bonus to future diplomacy related activities. LK has a long history of doing right by people and being a force for law and order in the region. On top of actual humanitarian aid. Could even see some cause for extra funding and aid to come her way in the form of mentioning the intention to expand the station's medical facilities. I can't imagine that a highly advanced oncology ward would be remiss amongst spacers, either; rocket jockeys get way more rads than rockhoppers who get more than tunnelrats who get more than wellwalkers.

Ragnar, you useless... How can you possibly be so bad at your job?

Also, @Karf, how is it DC 65 to realize Natasha is abusive, controlling and quite probably a narcissist? It's obvious after two minutes of conversation with Ken!
I have to admit that some part of me is definitely regretting trying to tackle complicated relationships. Doubly so as I don't have personal experience with the matter nor any councillor training. But the one consistent line is to help the victims help themselves, not push into a delicate situation. To listen and provide aid when asked, to let the victim open up on their own terms, only lightly indicating your concern, and only intervene in the case of a direct threat. The fictional version at hand is further complicated by power dynamics between all relevant parties.

The DC has less to do with Ragnar and more to do with Ken. Also, there have been several unfortunate rolls against much lower DC in the past, which ended up driving the following attempts up.

None of this changes the fact that at times Ragnar comes across as about as useful as a berserker in a China shop on a mission to sell lace doilies.

Might as well name it after a Alaskan scientist especially fitting since this one ran NARL.

- yes, there is a Eureka research station and its also found in Nunavut same as Iqaluit but personally I kinda find Eureka as overused in tv, books, etc. hence picking the less well known name.

I want to protect Ken, but I understand that he needs to stand up for himself.

"Yeah, definitely officially divorced, assets divided and everything. They didn't just have a short breakup. She's mostly lived off the company at first, but without the resident green thumb it went under pretty fast. She sold the assets and used those funds for a while, supplemented by odd jobs here and there. Bookkeeping for a local charity, assistant manager of a neighborhood watch group, nothing major. Pretty sure her funds would have run out by now. Currently, we found her a spot in the bar staff, although she's not well regarded there nor suited for it. But ultimately if Ken wants, he easily has the funds to sustain her as a housewife or personal assistant."
Getting Ken to spend time away from Natasha is surprisingly hard. You're used to the man always finding time to unwind with you, and the begged off excuses are mildly jarring, but you don't relent, offering invites with no pressure or judgement.
"I mean, we've… she comes off as a bit brusque but she's not always like that. She can be nice when she wants to. When I'm not being an idiot like I usually am with the social stuff. And I know she didn't really mean that you should waste your time on coming over. She knows you're busy as is."
"Oh, it was never going to work out. I left her with far too much work and impossible plans, she told me it's a wonder she made it last as long as she did," he waves you off with a smile that doesn't reach past his lips.
"It's nice of her to give me one…" he trails off, as if he was asking a question rather than answering one.

"From my perspective she came to you, you're the one giving her a second chance. Am I wrong?"

"I don't know. None of us is perfect, right? I'd be a terrible human being if I didn't at least try."
He sighs when you score another sixty, "Sometimes it's a bit… difficult, or unusual, but I'm making it work. She really can be quite nice when you get to know her."
Hoo boy that's a whole lot of red flags.

Natasha seems to pick up that Ken managed to get a cushy job on a thriving colony and coincidentally managed to insert herself into his life right as she was running out of money. Then she moves on isolating him away from his friends and controls what he does 'for his own good'. Plus gaslighting him with how the failure of their relationship was his fault and that he should be working to win her back rather than the other way around.

Controlling, isolation, blaming, and unwarranted criticism. Yep. Classic abusive relationship.

I mean, it is our last, best hope for peace.

The main issue with Ken is that we can do little to help. We can't kick Natasha out unless she commits a crime, and being a terrible human being isn't a crime.
