The Fall of Arnor - A LOTR GSRPG

Obviously it's not all that important given Elrond and Galadriel are never going to claim High Kingship over the Noldor.

Also begin sending in plans if you haven't already. Once I'm finished my homework for the week, who knew writing Japanese characters could be so difficult, I'm going to do more reports.

I have a plane to catch tomorrow and then jetlag. Will try to keep up best as I can both IC and with plans but there might be delays.

Does the Prince of Cardolan have the blood of isildur or is he just one through whom the Blood of Numenor runs true?

Through the maternal line, the Princes of Cardolan descend from Isildur. You're the descendants of the daughter of the last King of Cardolan so you have a claim to Cardolan itself but not the High Kingship of Arnor.

Makes sense, that whole female line thing is weird considering technically Tar-Mirel should've been queen. Yet even after the Faithful hated Ar-Pharzon they seemed to keep his practice of male only succession.

Considering the whole of the legendarium contains like ten mortal females I'd count yourselves lucky you even exist :V

You'll note that when it came to female monarchs, the Numenoreans always seemed to have poor luck so it's entirely plausible that they excluded female lines based on past experience.

I'm going to try to get a post up tonight, I've been distracted and busy

It's concerning dwarves are falling over themselves to supply Arthedain and the King is replying. Perhaps he doesn't need elvish assistance after all.

@Sidheach whats happening at Gladden Fields? You had a footnote after mentioning that some Stoors fled there but never actually filled it in.
There remained a sizable community of Hobbits in the Gladden Fields even after most of the Hobbits went westward over the Misty Mountains. The Stoors that left have simply rejoined the same community that will one day produce a wholly unremarkable Stoor named Smeagol.

I'm more concerned with the king of Arthedain comissioning a suit of Mithril armor, and specifically asking for it to not be blinged out. This is wierd for me on multiple levels:

1. If the cost is a concern, due to the nature of economy in this universe and as a game, it wouldn't be an issue.
2. Even if it is, the main cost here is Mithril itself, not the craftsdwarveship needed to work it.
3. This is an artifact worthy of a king, literally to be worn by a king. The Dwarven crafters should be insulted they aren't getting to make this a work of art, given this is going to be one of their most visible work yet.

Ya know what I want? A silmaril. Great Flashlight. Too bad those won't be found until the end of Arda but i can dream.

Silmarils? You can get those at any leading retailer and some pawn shops too though you've gotta be careful with the latter because you'll sometimes get knock-off Silmarils. You can usually tell the fakes from the real deal because real Silmarils inspire an unrivaled sense of greed in you and if someone steals it from you, you can get so angry over it that you'll invade a continent before spontaneously combusting.

Was jumping headfirst into a crack in the earth a listed side effect like the desire to go on kinslaying adventures or is that chalked up to user error?

Consider purchasing one on my bucket list.

I am beyond indifferent who my customer and what my customer wants provided they pay me and my mark-ups.

You take that back scum! :V

I mean, he really doesn't need Elvish assistance. It was something he was inclined to do given that another Dwarf made a request from him but King Dain himself couldn't care less.

Khazad-Dum took the whole go on a fetch quest to Elrond as Lindon's peculiar and polite elvish way of saying no because frankly the Kingdom of Khazad-Dum doesn't care enough about the issue to send a delegation to travel all the way to Rivendell and then make another cross-continental journey to Lindon, breaking their splendid isolationism and get involved in some strange Lindon-Rivendell diplomatic ceremony in which a dwarf asks an elf to send another elf to some other elf kingdom. All in all it struck them as extremely weird why Lindon was dictating road use based on what Rivendell would say. :lol

The case could also be made that since the dwarves built the roads in the first place that Lindon technically doesn't even own them.

True, but they are the ones who have military units stationed there. In the world of LOTR, that's 9/10ths of possession. I mean I suppose I could send a Dwarven lawyer to try to argue otherwise but-
