The Dream that is Dying (Exalted)

[x] Attack Al'rama. How dare he? How dare he? You will have his treacherous, backstabbing head for this! Except… he was always a fine swordsman, and there are the Vakotans to consider…

We are apparently a fight fight person so...

[X] Attempt negotiation. Al'rama has watched over you since you scarcely reached his knee, his heart cannot be truly set on this course. You just need to get through to him somehow

...Soo Daddy decided we're not worth it eh?

Time to choose our death escort! Al'rama old friend, we nominate you to head it!

If we are hotheaded we gotta play the part. Bad ideas, ho!

[X] Flee. The mare might have been trained to obey another, but you are a master rider, and no steed will ignore your commands entirely. You'll just have to… avoid the horse archers, outpace your treacherous friend, and make it back to the city. Easy.

We are the master of horse on one of the best steeds we've ever seen.

We shall not go down like a coward

The previous vote gave us a brash, impulsive character easily given to strong emotions. Let's establish this flaw in action to set up a fairly obvious but strong character arc for later.

I have to admit, I'm not that brash but if I had combat abilities and just got betrayed I'd likely try to fight the guy too. I hate people that violate trust placed in them.

To borrow a line from an older story, "Hmmm, die like a bitch, die running like a bitch, cower in fear hoping not to die like a bitch, or blatant suicide."

I can't even be mad about this,

"They claim some strange rite of hospitality prevents them…"

"Yes, that does not surprise me," you chuckle, "more than one Vakotan tribe has been lost to ambush at times of what should be peace and celebration. They will set aside weapons in their own wagons, and nowhere else - unless, of course, their host does likewise as show of good faith."

"Insolent dogs," Al'rama growls, the multi-hued silk of his uniform fluttering in the captive breeze as he descends gracefully in your wake, "That they would dare imagine the palace of the Shah could be treated the same as one of their rickety wagons…"

To flee is death. By even beginning this course of action we are betrayed. There is only one acceptable end to this. And it is NOT our Death.
