Nilam Watson, a construction worker on the way to her job suddenly hears the overpowering sound of a bell, followed by falling into a darkness that opened up below her.

When she wakes up from being rudely relocated, she finds herself to be a smaller being made out of bricks and bereft of her arms.

Now stuck in a sewer that seems to have been harried by an earthquake, she attempts to find a way out, not aware of just how much the world has changed from that one enigmatic knell...
