The Absent Father - A WH30k GSRPG - Planning Thread

@Sidheach Could the Maelstrom be added to the map? Its not a big deal if it can't be added but it's the second greatest warp rift in the galaxy so its definitely a major galactic landmark.

Ideas:
Doomguy the Primarch, fought a bunch of demons. Kept insisting there were warp gods and stuff, so he got removed to uphold the masquerade. Legion focuses on lone wolf style combatants with guns, squads are rare.

Gil the Primarch: Basically a primarch who took over his world and became its god, super arrogant and refused to accept the imperial truth. Probably a really powerful psyker as well, mind-controlling the populace into mindless worship. Killed due to frankly obvious reasons. Legion also have a high amount of psykers, but prefer to use raw power over sorcery, maybe have force weapons too? All are very arrogant, more so than the most hard-ass ultrasmurfs and Emperor's Children. Constantly feud among each other, but still are total tools to the primarch. Or are just mindless murder machines.

@Sidheach

Hi Sid. Is the game going to start on our Tuesday or American Tuesday? Also how will the game mechanic handles a nomadic faction like Eldar? they dont really hold defined territory or atleast little in real space.

I'd be willing to help mod.
Brilliant.

Australian Tuesday so American Monday night/morning.

Craftworld Eldar will be mobile and able to move the Craftworlds each turn as they see fit. Their point count will remain static to reflect their depleted numbers but because they don't hold territory and move around a lot, that's not a major issue given the point count granted by Craftworlds and Capital Sectors is enough to put together a proper fleet.

Shouldn't Lyanden and Biel-Tan still be ostenisbly allied and particularly focused on colonizing and protecting maiden/exodite worlds? The alliance is tenuous but it should exist, correct me if I'm wrong.

According to lexicanum, their technically still allied but aren't talking or working with each other. So not much of an alliance but maybe a player could revive the alliance.

So could one of the lost Primarchs have appeared with some Exodites and displaying talents as a 'null' built up strength there. With his love of a xenos race and non acceptance of the inferior nature of non humans as well as knowledge that the enforced aethism was a lie.

What enforced atheism? The entire premise of this game is that the Imperium never got off the ground due to the Emperor disappearing in mysterious circumstances. There's no human state to enforce atheism.

You realise the Eldar outright loathe nulls right?

Still hated. That shit does not mesh well with the fact they're an all-psychic race/species.

Basically yeah. And that's the non-psykers. If you're a psyker, you really don't want to be around one.

Isn't cannon that everyone except some of the tau are freaked out when close to nulls?
Depending on their strength it can go from basic dislike to people outright trying to lynch them. And thats baseline non-psychic humans rather than the most xenophobic race in the galaxy.

And yes, I can call them that unironically.

To be fair, it is... pretty much accurate to call the eldar that. I mean, even the IoM had xenos as client states during the great crusade.

Gil-Morgan is the best lost primarch. He and his decadent court of Space marine houses shall unite the galaxy under it's rightful God-Emperor.

Not one Dune reference for a Missing Primarch.

So disappointing.

Not even a horde of desert tribesmen in full fanatical horde mode on giant worms, locked in doomed course of action by prophecy and utter certainty this is the only way to save humanity.
