Honestly, if nothing else, keeping him around as a stat stick is almost certainly better than any realistic gain we might get from this, barring a bunch of 3-degree rolls. A +19 roll modifier to some important battle rolls is probably our most important strategic asset right now.
Bear in mind that when the EC goes into action starting next year, he's basically never again going to be as available as he was this time. He'll be committed, yearly, to regular EC missions.
So Kurik vote is send him and possible loose him , but give the galaxy the knowledge that they can win. I am going to vote to send him. Even though the increase would be good for us the knowledge we have in invaluable. These is the most knowledge we have received since the start of the war.
Moin Moin
the 1st option gives us almost everything we need with a major boost in relations with RoR down the line? sign me the heck up!
[ ][RWF] The 3rd is, realistically, at your mercy, but that is no way to treat allies. It would be grossly inappropriate to hold this leverage over them. You will recognize Admiral Malan as the local, ranking representative of the Republic of Rannoch, with absolute power over his domain and empowered to purchase yard space and other goods and services from your government in the Republic's name, credited to their government. This polite fiction, of course, binds the Republic itself not a whit, but the sheer generosity of this deal will represent a major concession on your part when you establish contact with the Republic proper and commence negotiations. Realistically, Malan will do what you ask of him regardless of the formality of your relationship -- but in this case, it wouldbe asking, and to preserve the pretense would require that it ever remain just asking.
[ ][RUNNER] You denied his request. You're not in the habit of arguing suicide mission of this nature. You withdraw without sending any corvettes.
Please explorer corvette vs Rachni devense-Fleets its suicide Kurik is more worth than that
Looks like the offensive into Council and Terminus space might have been one bridge too far. Hopefully someone is still in shape to hit back while the Ranchi lack serious reserves to commit.
Well, that was an ass-puckering affair. Nice to see that we judged the relative risk correctly.
One dead planet and five dead dreadnoughts in exchange for one dead BC and one crippled BC is a bargain.
Almost as important is the fact that we preserved most of our forces, which means the Rachni have to maintain enough force in each border system of note to stand off 6 BCs or so. If we contribute nothing else to the war effort, just divering those ships does plenty.
And Malan's maps will be valuable intelligence to our war effort.
QUESTION
Did we get a popularity boost for that @PoptartProdigy ?
Or do we only find out when the status is updated?
Based on our scans, how developed are the Nubian Expanse, Hades Nexus and Maroon Sea compared to the (late) Hades Gamma?
Assuming we give Hades Gamma an arbitary rating of 100?

Even if we never use the 3RWF for any offensive missions ever, the Rachni will know they're there, and will have to honor the threat.
Just by existing, they serve as a deterrent.
And it allows us to operate more freely knowing there's a backup. Ergo, there's no reason not to be generous.
As for Kurik's proposal, that's a hard no.
IC, even back when things were desperate early on, Mira did not send cannon fodder ships to the front to buy time for the rest of the navy to build up, even though our War Minister raised it as an option.
She isn't going to commit a bunch of crews to a probable suicide mission.
OOC, Kurik is the guy who we are going to be using for our Intrigue Personal Actions for the foreseeable future; his Intrigue 15 is almost twice Mira's Intrigue 8. Plus, with him leading the Explorer Corps at home, we have a better chance of rolls discovering valuable systems to exploit.
Too much of a gamble at the moment, and the costs are too high.

[X][RWF] You are at war, and Malan has already indicated his willingness to submit to your command. Make sure that he understands that this is no formality, moving forward. While the 3rd RWF remains a quarian asset, it must be under your command. It will of course be returned to the Republic of Rannoch once contact is re-established, but until that time, it behaves as a Virmirean possession. Malan shall receive all of the respect and precedence due his rank, but he will be your subordinate, with all that that implies. This won't buy you any favors from the -- famously xenophobic -- Republic when it comes time for negotiations, but the realities of the situation mean that it really won't hurt, either. You've already bought yourself a lot of future goodwill by saving this fleet in the first place, anyway.
[X][RUNNER] You authorized his request. The chance isn't good, but with the EC running it, you think you have a shot. This kind of thing is held to be impossible, and consequently, has never been tried...so the Rachni will never expect it. Sending him a hurried data packet containing information that you want the rest of the galaxy to have (your available forces, your ability to contribute to the fight, data analysis on the Rachni from this last operation, the rescue of the 3rd RWF, etc.) you gave him a few other ships to boost his chances and sent him on his way. Commits Captain Jamar Kurik and several EC vessels to a blockade run, taking advantage of Rachni weaknesses along the path. All battle rolls along the way will be made with his characteristic martial bonus (19). Failure means death.

Unlike in Hades Gamma, you didn't get into orbit above exploited worlds and take enough detailed scans to know exactly how to most efficiently turn the place into a molten world, so you don't have enough detail to answer firmly, but the answer is definitely, "less," if only because these aren't logical production centers for several surrounding clusters' worth of output.
Also, you have never sent ships into the Hades Nexus.

I was assuming we'd be able to compare pre-war scans to current scans for changes to get some idea which systems are more valuable industrially/economically and militarily, and thus which systems we want to mug next.
We didn't; Malan and the 3RWF did, and presumably have passed that data on.
So I was assuming scans would have told them(and now us) just how built up it was, even if they didn't get into position to drop a couple rocks on any planets or orbitals.
If nothing else, they explicitly noted shipyards in the Hades System which their pursuers were settling into for repairs.
And one last question:
How many dreads did Malan lose along the way before meeting us? What percentage of his fleet?
Is 2 dreads the standard Quarian warfleet allocation? Or have you not decided?
Continuing the tradition of moderately insane write-ins. @PoptartProdigy , two new ship classes for the year vote
SL Sloop Scouts, couriers and blockade runners.
This design has an oversized ME core, and two drive systems.
The standard efficient ion thrusters, and a hydrogen/oxygen torch drive.
Crew do not get pretty bridge chairs and snazzy uniforms, instead getting gel tanks and G-suits.
The torch drive pushes the ship at up to 9-G felt by the crew, multiplied by the ME core to hundreds or thousands of gravities effective.
The expansion of the LOX/LH from the storage tanks is also used to flash-chill the ship.
This design is intended to hop through a relay, conduct impossible evasive maneuvers, and vanish into FTL for the next relay while defenders are still moving to action stations.
ATP Assault Transport Ram and board in SPACE!
This cruiser-sized ship sacrifices all guns for armor, speed, and the ability to carry enough asari/batarian commandos to overwhelm a dreadnaught's crew.
The objective is to live-capture a Rachni Queen.
No-one has ever gotten actionable intelligence from the rachni, probably because workers/soldiers etc are not true individuals.
Time to change that.
I was assuming we'd be able to compare pre-war scans to current scans for changes to get some idea which systems are more valuable industrially/economically and militarily, and thus which systems we want to mug next.
You can scan, it's just that you get an incomplete picture when you're explicitly avoiding going anywhere near planets. There could be stations on the other side of planets, there could be planets on the other side of the local star (were, in a few cases), they could be too far to get clear images, etc. There are a lot of factors preventing you from having perfect intel on every system you visit.

Not entirely true.
Queens are allegedly the smartest of the lot, and provide some sort of overarching telepathic guidance, both in the egg and when they are born, but the other castes aren't actually non-sapient.
Unless the GM chooses to change that for this quest, which I doubt; non-sapients do not lead scouting missions into other clusters the way Rachni ships do.
This would probably be part of a Stage III redesign of the Marine Corps, complete with giving them ships of their own.
Can't afford that yet, but give it time.

Honestly I'm going with this simply because Kurik, in the past, was kinda pissed by our inaction, as in not letting him explore the promethean ruins, and I feel we should let him do this if he really wants to. Granted it seems like most people feel like it would be wiser to keep him at home but this is just my 2 cents.
I think that's two hours. Rannoch fleet shall fall under formal Virmire military structure in order for everyone to survive this. The middling option is the best for both states to remain states as equal partners in this collective struggle. Also none of that attention attraction with death runs, the Citadel and allies are fully capable of doing the math of intergalactic warfare.

As pointed out, Mira does not know Kurik from Adam, and probably regards him as a glory hound eager to get himself and his crew killed.

With this option, we can't bill Rannoch for millions of credits when we recontact. And the practical military command difference is zero anyway. We won't be directly integrating the fleets, the 3RWF will remain a separate fleet.

"Let those with no sin cast the first stone." And Jamar Kurik has no sins
ETA: I kind of want an omake of the Quarians' reaction to learning how we roll. "Attican Beta is completely surrounded by Rachni controlled space. That's what makes it such a great launching pad for attacks!"
To quote the legendary Gen. Chesty Puller:
"All right, they're on our left, they're on our right, they're in front of us, they're behind us. They can't get away this time."
On another note, the Rachini are stretched which is good. And hopefully we can take advantage of that to whittle away their forces, econ and logistics further.

Getting the information out is vital to our raiding doctrine in that we need them to keep the pressure up. Because if the Ranchi ever got serious with us we be dead.

It may be possible for him to make it far enough to send useful information to the Terminus and Citadel war effort, but I don't like the odds (which as I imagine it are low) of him returning alive. I also dislike sending units on suicide missions. So the question for me is whether or not the chance of delivering this information right now is worth the high risk of crippling our Explorer Corps and losing a Hero unit.
I'm leaning towards the risk being too high to justify. Although, if someone gives a convincing reasoning that it won't be that high of a risk, I'll likely vote to send.
