You took a breath and smiled at the tea. "That's good."
Only Kakashi and Shiro were here, and that was the surprise that filled you with dread. "But I kinda wish everyone else was here."
"Gai and Asuma are on missions." Kakashi seemed sad about that. "Kurenai is at the academy. So it's just us."
Ayako was laughing…well if you could call her mad mind-cackling laughter. "Well at least you three came, I have always wanted to try this recipe for you."
"Is is poison?" Shiro asked as he kicked his feet up.
"Not to you at least." Ayako responded before the chakra disappeared, and you were back in your own head.
All of you shuddered in unison at that, wondering what torture awaited you. Then Shiro spoke. "Okay… Hey Kakashi, do you know any way to help kids who killed people at a young age get over that trauma?"
You raised an eyebrow. "What happened?" You asked.
"Went to Wave where we got ambushed by Zabuza, then saw a kid kill him, who turned out to be his apprentice, then they attacked… Kiba lost his fingers when Sabon cut them off while he attacked others… I put them back on don't worry, Hinata killed a few… Shino killed over 50 with his bugs… you know standard first C rank mission bullshit."
Ah, the curse of the C Rank struck again. "Now you know how it felt when you went to that Hotel." Kakashi gave an eye roll. "Remember all that poker we played?"
Shiro laughed. "Fuck you. But I'm being serious Kakashi. Yamato?"
You shrugged. "Don't really remember much about all those early missions, I was desensitized from all that before I was three, so you're asking the wrong guy."
Both of you looked at Kakashi. "Booze?" He said, not really paying attention, as he flipped through his book.
"A Depressent won't help any of them, and that is a terrible idea. You are forgetting that all of them are clan heirs." Shiro replied.
"We can ask Inochi to mind wipe them?" You offered, knowing that was always an option.
Shiro was horrified. "That is a terrible idea and you know it, besides, the Hokage won't approve my requests anyway."
You blamed Danzo. "Therapy?" Kakashi said.
"Everyone I want to go to, and aren't part of Danzo's payroll are limited to only Dr. Kujo, and he won't see anyone but Yamato." Shiro replied.
Then Shiro started thinking. "Maybe we can take more missions, have them kill more people, just the bad people so all they can think is that it's only the bad guys they kill."
You and Kakashi both facepalmed. "I really fucked up training him didn't I?" Kakashi stated as he sighed.
"You think?" You asked.
"Kakashi, I killed over a hundred people before I was seven." He stated. "Of course, you fucked up training me."
Ayako then set the tea down. "Drink." Her voice boomed through your heads, and you drank before you could be rude.
It was terrible, but you didn't let Ayako know that.

Sasuke was still in fight or flight mode as the waiter passed, giving you all water. "What's the celebration?"
You smiled. "This is the Team 3 Pre-first C-Rank mission dinner." That made two of the three of them look pale.
"C Rank, really?!" Naruto was excited, his boundless energy was almost impossible to contain now that the news was known.
But Yakumo and Sasuke paled because they knew what was coming. "First C-Rank?" Sasuke quivered, almost terrified at what he was hearing.
"Yes." You replied.
Yakumo almost passed out then and there, only for Hanzo to just keep her eyes wide open.
"Are you trying to get us killed!?"
You frowned. "It's going to happen eventually, and I'd rather get it done now, rather than later."
Naruto traded glances. "Why is everyone so worried about the C-Rank, it's awesome! We're finally being taken seriously!"
Sasuke then slapped Naruto. "Naruto, this is serious, we could die or get really hurt."
A moment passed, and Naruto was ready to fight back against the hit from Sasuke before Yakumo put an invisible barrier between the two of them. "Sensei, why are you doing this, you know the stories and the traditions and the crazy bullshit!"
"What bullshit?" Naruto asked.
You smirked and looked at Sasuke. "Well, you both are so terrified of it. Tell him?"
Sasuke then took a breath. "The First C-Rank always goes wrong in a very deadly and dangerous way. Always." He stated.
You took a moment to breathe in. And then Naruto said. "So? All missions have the possibility of going bad. It's how we react to it that will make us stay alive?"

Oh God, this mission was going to go to hell. It was also too late to back away from it because you already put in a request to the Hokage.
You could see that they were not calm anymore, as an argument began.
