Though I have to say, that is some extreme overkill you've recommended there.

Not really - as a sort-of writer, while 'm ambivalent about the actual episodes, I love the rich character of the new MLP, Not to mention the in-jokes - seriously, is there a trekkie in the design crew? winged tribbles, Tiberius...

Ahem:oops:

Anyway, the same is true for the Equestria girls side-verse - great character ideas, so-so execution - but truth be told the events around the whole 'Anon-a-miss bit was pretty much squashed - the depiction of the same name by 'Dainn' was much more likely for how it would have gone had it been realistic instead of a thinly-vailed shot at the anti-brony group of the same name. <removes soapbox and throws it away before rant can really get going>

Sending in the duo of Hermione and Aoyama would pretty much allow them to derail the whole thing, more-or-less cleanly, even if the timeline was much more 'Dainn' then original or someone from the other side of the portal interferes (such as ol' dizzy), quite possibly even lead to another potential family member (Sunny-D) and lay a foundation for additional omakes on both sides of the portal (" Amy wants to know who's been messing with her environmental support plant, and removed the control modules...")

Besides, there's no such thing as 'overkill', even with an Aoyama...

There are problems with either option, yes. :) But straight razors cost far less money which would result in him having far more disposable income.

I've tried using a strait razor, and electric razors. Strait razors HURT when I try shaving with one. Plus I get far too many nicks and cuts. "Bleeding profusely" is not a desired result when shaving IMO. Electric razors don't give anywhere near close enough of a shave. For me, they leave visible stubble. I could get disposable razors, but those either painfully rip out the hair, cut my face up, or do both. Depending on brand and number of blades on the disposable. Still, in a pinch I'll get a bag of disposables. Of the non-disposable razors, I do prefer the Mach 3 Turbo, but the refill packs get expensive. I usually try to find one of the 2 or 3 cartridge packages since those are a better value, and will last a couple months of regular shaving.

Or, just grow a beard. That's what I did.

Since I look for work mostly in the food service industry, I refuse to wear a hairnet over my chin. It looks really stupid, and a former coworker always complained about how much it itched to do so. That means being clean shaven. Plus I can't actually grow a full beard. Been trying for 20 years now. Instead I grow a decent amount on the chin, then the sides grow in lopsided and scruffy looking. So even if I'm growing a beard, the sides get shaved, as does the bit right below my lower lip. Hair there tends to grow into my mouth, which is annoying.

Besides, there's no such thing as 'overkill', even with an Aoyama...

In a darkened wharehouse, Batman (the Dark Knight), Hermione Granger (Scary and Brilliant), Raptaur (of the Too-Many Teeth), Ms. Aoyama (Who can almost smile), Schlock (Ominous Hummmmm), and That-Which-Cannot-Be-Named are all standing around a twitching, crying, whimpering, bubbling, incoherent corpse.

TWCBN: But none of us had even said anything yet!
Aoyama: There appear to be limits to your Maxim 37, Sergeant. We have not yet obtained the desired information.

Ob Fact: Boss Hebert cannot commit "overkill". His targets always self-inflict their version first. They feel it is safer.

I wonder, could Ms Aoyma intimidate an Entity?

Equally curious question: How panicked would an Entity be if they saw Yori testing out her current limits with a compressed ki ball?

I don't know who this is, but it's highly unlikely.

You don't really 'intimidate' entities. They don't react like that. Even if you were someone who could wave their hand and destroy half the known universes they wouldn't be 'intimidated' as much as they'd realise you're not someone to fuck with and/or you need to be removed as a threat somehow.

Yori probably needs a year or two more from 'current' DSR for her to get onto early DBZ levels of power(she's probably somewhere between end of DB Goku and Saiyajin saga Piccolo atm). Probably a year or so more (or using the energy from the 'Ward System' )for her to start horrifying multi-dimensional monsters. How scary Ms Aoyoma actually is to entities depends on how much they understand ki, since the source of her 'creepiness' is the way her life-force is warped and people subconsciously pick up on that. (Since an already inter-dimensional race who have been around for millions of years have never seen ki, or at least the strange mix of ki/magic that Yori, Chou and Aoyoma are using, thats probably saying something), entities might not pick up on it or have the intellectual ability to be worried.

It's one of Nabiki's alternate identities in DSR, or Desperately Seeking Ranma. Known for being creepy in the extreme, mildly horrifying when she's trying to be nice, and all around not someone people want to meet a second time. Even mafia style demons and dumb as a box of rocks demons get scared by her. Is thought to be a high level black ops intelligence agent for an unknown demonic organization. Also thought to be able to intimidate computers into doing what she wants with a look.

@Bel While the 'twisted' ki signature probably helps with some beings, most of it is Ms. Aoyoma herself. Of course, perfecting the Soul of Ice didn't hurt. But that just adds to the already high intimidation factor. Especially when she 'smiles'.

Except for Hotaru, who thinks she's hilarious.

Just a random thought I had.

When the world finds out that Taylor is most of the Family, how many are going to be seriously upset over being tricked? We all know people that simply cannot take a joke. Also, many people in authority tend to overreact when they think they have been played or made to look the fool.

Plus, the reason Taylor started the gag in the first place is still going to be valid.... A group of aliens with many powers is a danger, one parahuman is just another S class threat to be dealt with.

If Joe Blow in the bar is pissed, no big deal. If the leader of a nation is pissed, it becomes a much bigger feal, especially in a world like Earth-bet, where human rights and common decency are in short supply.

But how will the world find out? The thing that would have eventually given up the game, namely the fact that Taylor was never seen in the presence of a Family member and no two Family members were seen together, are now a thing of the past. Raptaur and Saurial have been seen together. Raptaur and Kaiju have been seen together. Saurial and Kaiju have been seen together. Various members have been seen with Taylor. And then there's Umbrial (or however it's spelled). The only Family member not seen with any others is the as yet unnamed mini-dragon form, her large dragon form (which is named and may have met Lucy), and Varga :) But nobody knows about Varga beyond Taylor and her close friends/Family.

It's a little off-topic, but you guys were with me when I needed it, so I owe it to you.

As you may recall, my long time companion Coal went into severe seizures and had to be helped onward. You were all there for me when I needed support because of that.

Today, my neighbors seemed to have an unexpected number of curiously urgent problems that all somehow required my help to solve, and my mandatory absence from town.

Tonight, Taylor Varga has a new fan. He's small, marmalade-colored, and curiously swatting at the keyboard as we read the thread together.

Please say hello to Garfield (yes, that's his name from his first family). He seems to find Taylor Varga just as interesting as I do, and if the Fates allow, he and I will be reading this story together for a long time.

EDIT:

No, I don't know if he likes lasagna, or if he hates Mondays. I expect I'll find out as we get to know one another.

Thank you all for being there for me when I needed you.

Not everyone. There are some people who *shudders* are Morning People. Others love Mondays, but hate Wednesdays. Mutants, the lot of them.
Only time I'm a morning person is when I've gotten into a routine that means I always get up at around the same time, go to bed around the same time, and have a somewhat automatic morning routine that requires I be up and moving to make things happen. As I have discovered this week, things disrupting that routine results in mornings being very painful.

I have a somewhat antagonistic relationship with mornings. I can be up during one, when i need to be. But generally speaking mornings are too bright and entirely too early. I'm much more comfortable going to bed as the sun is rising.

Eh.. I have to be up and about during the day, so I have to be up in hte mornings. That doesn't mean I like mornings, even when I have my coffee and a full breakfast. This week has been a pain in the ass in part because my morning routine was disrupted, which makes it less likely that I actually bother to make breakfast. And also less likely that I go to sleep when I should, because I'm awake later than normal, and I'm also later for events that I'm supposed to be at, because I'm getting up later and spending time not-quite awake, not-quite asleep in front of my laptop in the morning.

I know how that goes. I woke up around noon after going to bed at 7:30am. Rehydrated, emptied my bladder, and decided "it's too dang early to be up" so went back to bed. Woke up again around 4pm, got something to drink, and decided it was too cold to get up yet. So I spent the next five hours poking around on my tablet while bundled up in bed. Finally had to get up because I was thirsty and really hungry. The problem is that now I'll be unable to get to sleep until around 7 or 8 in the morning, again. This kick got started cause Tuesday I was really tired for various reasons, and took a nap. Which ended up lasting from 1pm til around 8pm.

I like Mondays actually, because that is usually the day before my "Weekend" and I get a few days off.
That's proving they are not in fact people.
I am people, just like you humans. *Scratches scales*

I think the bigger realisation that would come with figuring out what Taylor is would be along the lines of "Oh shit she's been downplaying everything she can do up until this point."

Plus, the reason Taylor started the gag in the first place is still going to be valid.... A group of aliens with many powers is a danger, one parahuman is just another S class threat to be dealt with.
And she can just say "Oh, no, I actually am an alien. Also kind of demonic and not at all human anymore. I'm not something you understand, I'm not something you can pigeonhole."

Please say hello to Garfield
We cannot, as you are a terrible person who has neglected to grace us with funny pictures of said keyboard-batting.

For shame! ;)

You know, poor human Victoria is fairly freaked out about this, I wonder how lizard Vicky, in the other dimension, feels about what happened.
"Amy," she began looking up at her sister, who seemed to be somewhat confused while looking at her, "I think I just spent the last week as a monkey and nobody noticed."

Amy seemed to get slightly annoyed at that, and Vicky could not blame her. "I'll ask Marsupial," she said in a clipped tone, like someone who was used in a practical joke without full knowledge of it.

It's been a long day, and my neighbors kept me busy in order to surprise me. But tomorrow I'll snap a photo with my cell to share with you. Right now, he's asleep (or as asleep as a cat ever gets) in the knee-hole of my desk, buzzing contentedly.

It's midnight here, and I'm burnt out (I'm in my 50's, I don't bounce back as fast as I used to), so I'm calling it a night. And maybe marveling at the kindness of friends I don't deserve.

See you all tomorrow.
