Right so I like to think of my self as an amateur parody song writer corrupter and I have been for about a year now been trying to come up with something for this lovely story. This morning when this song came on my muse slapped me with a clue-by-four and this is the result. It's not perfect by any means and I may someday come up with something better, but my muse would not let this go. So this is for you @mp3.1415player as thanks for producing this fantastic story.

Just had a thought. If I understand the classification correctly, Breaker means a power that grants a non-standard physical state. I remember using a tiny cook platter as a kid to make s'mores. It had a can of what was more or less flammable Vaseline as a fuel source. That stuff was very sticky and burned from the outside-in.

Tl;Dr, Saurial and her main relatives can all materialize this stuff and ignite it without harming themselves.

Is anyone really going to say the Family have no Breakers when Saurial/whoever lights themselves on fire before a serious fight, then stays on fire until the fight is over?

Breaker: FIRE! :V
 
But "is on fire" is a Shaker power, not Breaker. Not unless the fire state lets you ignore physical objects passing through you like natural flame would, or something.

I may be misunderstanding Shaker as well, since I thought that meant a power that only affects the environment around you. Can anyone else verify this please? My lunch break is over. :(

Technically "is on fire" is a Striker power as it is a contact threat, Shaker would be "is producing/controlling a trail/area of fire", and Breaker would be "is made of fire". The ratings are for how a power is a threat which makes it easier to determine categories if you keep it in mind (though properly applied most powers can cover a multitude of threat ratings outside their primary)
 
Also, "ignoring being covered in flaming goo" is Brute.

"Pouring flaming goo over yourself for the amusement factor" is Family silliness.

They can likely fake 'being fire' by hiding most of themselve in a pocket dimension, and creating a figure made out of flaming gas/goo/space where they previously stood. And if they need something outside of the they can make a ball around the micro lizard to serve as a cockpit and pretend that that is the core.

I now see a tiny lizard (dressed in an equally tiny wizard outfit...) in a hamster ball rolling up encased in a huge flaming sphere.

"The Mighty FIRE Lizard is here, evil trembles before me!"

("I also have a cousin that can get you a better deal on your car insurance...')
 
This story from what I seen is getting nowhere but circling around the same thing. It was fun and amusing at first, but now it's getting annoying and the magic of the fic is now gone. Unwatched

Sorry about the lack of updates recently. I've got a new work project on at the moment which is being difficult due to the total chaos hitting the electronics industry right now and it's been eating all too much of my time for the last few weeks.

That said, I've got a couple of days off and I'm actively working on the next chapter, as well as stuff for other stories. So with a bit of luck I should emit wordz soon :)

And we can bring the magic of the fic back. Fic magic for all :evil:
 
Excellent news, thank you for keeping us updated. It has been a bit slow around here, but no worries. We enjoy the wordz as they come. Any thoughts on the BBFO Body Shop opening up in the future? :grin:

I wonder what color and styles they'd go for. I honestly expect Lucy to go with an iguana pattern, similar to Newell. Missy may go for something more armored. Kind of hard for the Youth Guard to complain about the melee weapon she's toting around when it's part of her body. :evil:

🤦‍♂️ You're not wrong, but who among the Youth Guard is stupid enough to try telling the Family what they can do with their biotech? We've not seen any of them in this story yet and I doubt very much that any of those obstructionist soccer-moms want to tangle with Lizards who can unscrew their heads.

On the other hand with how heavy AU this setting is, I wonder if they are even a thing.

Youth Guard in the end was retconned later on, and never showed up in original Worm, but later on, in PRT Quest ran by WildBow.

And if they are a thing - as mentioned before they wouldn't be able to do anything. Lizards also have a very, VERY good reputation. It's not even about force, but PR war, which they simply can't win IMO. Also if needed, the lizard team may simply introduce some elements to increase the safety of Wards, and buy lots of goodwill this way. Even more then they already have.

If I'm remembering correctly there have already been talks between Armsmaster and Raptaur about EDM upgrades for the Wards. It just hasn't happened yet. The girls have a lot on their plates.

They need to plant old Family relics around the area. Danny, Uber,and Leet need their Lizard Suits. Ry'leh needs to be built. They need to get safety gear to the PRT, BBPD, and Fire Departments. Lucy needs a tail. Taylor may "receive" a tail, so Saurial can complete her self-defense training in the face of SS escaping. The list goes on.

This is true, but the mk1 was meant to be a streamlined design with optional upgrades for aquatic use. Miss Biron is considered "cute" and has on multiple occasions wished aloud for people to "take her seriously". She may request a tail that could easily shatter stone and actually look the part.

There would be a wider pool of clients if we could find someone in good standing who would be willing to publicly accept an offer to be modified by the Bioshapers' Guild. Where one comes, more will follow.

Which means she likely wants spikes on her tail. That's the advanced model. She may be willing to temporarily accept an Ankylosaurus Trainer, to get used to having that extra weight at the end of her tail. She'll likely think we're trying to low-ball her at first. We need to make sure she watches the early footage of new FamTail recipients tripping over their new appendages.

Miss Biron is an intelligent young lady, I doubt she would like to risk impaling herself on her own tail during the adjustment period. A thought occurs, have Cousin Saurial or Cousin Raptaur accompany her. She'll likely listen to them when it's time, and either one of them could put a fractal safety cap on her spikes if she decides to go for the advanced model anyway.

Once Miss Biron is properly adjusted to her tail's handling, she'd be able to deal with making or dismissing her own safety fractal pockets. Everyone wins except the Muggers. :)
