Thank you for these comments. As Content Promoters, this sort of thing really makes our day - ultimately our whole mission statement is helping people to discover the all the weird and wonderful things SV has to offer.
So the reason for this is that I had always intended for us to err a bit on the side of participation awards for anyone who clearly seemed to have been giving it a go. We just wanted to leave this a bit vague, to avoid people deliberately gaming the system . Not that I particularly think anyone would, but you have to design rules for stuff like this based on assumption that something may go wrong. Sorry, it's a bit clunky but it seemed like the best compromise.
Oh snap, I still need to fix that lmao. Will try and remember to do that tonight; if not then it will be when I collate all the posts for the individual years together into a single post when I move this over to the archive.
