SV's 10x10: Celebrating one hundred great threads across a decade

It was the VS thread that was a pick for 2014

Those are the fields that will definitely not show during the leftover years and are thus losses in the bingo sense. The Azula one is a special case because it started in January 24 and thus was never going to show within the 100 picks, the rest are threads like this and this that would have shown up on previous days but didn't.
If I were running this I'd have it count anniversary-to-anniversary, or at least include the ones from 2024 in the last batch.
Posting the clue again too late lol

If you can't trust your fingers, who can you trust?

The clue for this one was really on point.
See, that sounds way more interesting than an Exalted quest named Inner Sea in Latin. Partly because it makes me think of the Locked Tomb, and a Dominican Empire expy in Exalted would be really fun. What's the clue actually referring to, bio-demon prosthetics?

Nah it's a disco elysium quest, the protagonist just talks with her (mosltly normal) fingers inside her own head. (Her fingers, and a whole bunch of other voices).

Per Aspera (Space Agency Plan Quest) Original

To clarify: the options that have you building rocket factories have been renamed to specify that the rocket you would be building is a reconnaissance rocket, much like the camera payloads your storm rockets take, simply ruggedized and standardized. They aren't artillery rockets as we know them.

The clue for the next thread is: In an alternate 1951 where no one won the war, you build… rockets?

That's not it. This one-winner-race thing has bad incentives!
I suggested a coop mode where we got the threads all at once and also had to assemble them in the right order, which would have left all the clues in play and conflicting with each other for a much more complex experience (if one thread sort of fits a clue, but another clue comes in later which is much more explicitly correct, then everything would have to be reshuffled), but it wasn't taken up.

Instead, we endure a scenario where the people posting the clue for everyone to see must compete against the people posting the answer.

I mistook Marked for Death: A Rational Naruto Quest as the correct one and posted, where FFFF: (A New Space Opera Quest) was correct. I deleted it, and managed to find FFFF first, but yeah, having a system where people have to post the correct answer first encourages rushing posting a link, there are almost inevitably going to be times where someone mistakes a banner for one year for the current year the we're hunting thread for.

Noting who was on that thread first wouldn't work since there could be someone just browsing that thread or someone who just was casually looking for stuff and clicked the thread just as the clue came live. Maybe there could be a button on the banner, and it notes who presses it first. Not really technically inclined, so I'm not sure how feasible that would be.

You can time limit your searches to only the year in question. This keeps the results slim and lets you search faster, but it also helps protect against running into threads from previous rounds.

In general, I would say the standard method of thread finding is pretty okay. You find a thread from the year in question and you post a link, and the moderators can see if you edit your post and if it still counts or not.

The world is in a state of crisis. Some argue that it is simply the way things work now, with madmen, dictators, and aliens attempting to have their way with Earth, and damn the consequences. Others feel that the state of the world is anything but natural, but curse their powerlessness to...

I used that to find Aspera, but didn't use it for FFFF, but limiting to the year is a good idea.l

AGh...Ah well, my vote won anyways. Well, my opinions are... Gunbuster is so near, so deliciously close! I want it! The EVA options are basically Pick One, leave the others. Reinforcements sounds good, but upping SEELE suspicion is a problem. I think we could maybe risk getting the EVAs fixed...
