You would think that, but if your population gets high enough you can change your title freely. For example, my title is "Ecumene", but that's a user-created title I made, not one given to me. Go to settings to see what the amount you need is.

I have edited the OP to be a little bit more clear about the major objectives of what we're going to be doing here. Think of this as a mixed online ethnography/colonization/governance/politics simulation.
If they're in the roleplaying forums, it's roleplaying. If it's in the gameplay forum it's more or less the central news and discussion hub of that region on the forum.

At some point, I may revise my opinion this, but at the moment, I believe that making a Discord will only make it more difficult for new members to follow past discussions. Such things are easier in a forum (e.g. check pages 10-12, ignore the discussion about whether or not ships are inherently inferior to airships), than on a Discord (check three days ago, with the discussion starting around 15:30 CET).

I will never have fundamentally essential discussion on the discord- it'll just be for people shooting the shit, asking questions about the game, and so on.

Well done, everyone. Turnout has risen considerably, and so has the standing of our region. Sufficient Union is now 26th in the world for Average assembly endorsements, owing to our cooperative and collaborative spirit. My recommendation is that you all join the world assembly and endorse each other and Sarakart (myself). Our goal right now is for our world assembly delegate to get up to 50 votes, where we will be able to form a considerable bloc in the World Assembly. Our fortune rises constantly, day by day.

A recommendation based on discussions with one of our members, @Stormwhite, has revealed that she has an interest to start a new spy agency. The goal of the agency would be espionage and information-gathering in Nationstates, allowing us an unparalleled understanding of the game's regions, strategies, and meta. The new agency would be started by Stormwhite, and she will be vested in power to take volunteers to become part of her system of spies. It's all very bond-y, I feel like, and I think it would be fun.

Sufficient Security: Liberate KAISERREICH
KAISERREICH is a roleplaying and raider region ostensibly made on the theme of Imperial Germany. Of course, you can probably see where this is going. The region had a sordid and long history with Nazism and fascism. They have always been anti-communist, but they also had a Nazi swastika on the background of their forum, and openly nazi members of their region. They also colloborated with openly Nazi "Nazi Europe" in the past. In recent months they have tried to rehabilitate themselves as a purely imperial German region and cleansed references to Nazism. However, a recent leak of screenshots from their Discord reveals that their connection to Nazism is still held in closed doors. Only one sample of an enormous assortment of "joking", horribly anti-Semitic statements:
This kind of statement is repeated over and over again. I pressed members of KR about this on the forum, and they rebuffed it as a joke. It is clear that behind closed doors, what we are looking at is not a conservative or merely right-wing region (of which there are hundred on Nationstates, that go unmolested by resolutions of this kind), but one full of virulent anti-semites.
Well, let's show them we're serious. A recent proposal has come up at the Security Council and has rapidly reached quorum. It seeks to liberate KAISERREICH. What this means is that rather than an empty condemnation, the security council resolution would, if KAISERREICH's founder were ever to get banned or cease to exist, render it defenseless to counter-raids by lifting the password and preventing a new one from being placed until the liberation is repealed. It is a mechanical punishment the likes of which has not been pursued before, and is part of what I am referring to as a "legislative revolution" in the Security Council, because it is opening the door to new liberations of other regions with serious consequences for the regions liberated, should they ever lose their password.
The Security Council, Noting that Kaiserreich at this point in time is not yet founderless; Appalled by Kaiserreich's apparent disregard towards others, as well as the regions use of Nazi propaganda and swastikas; Abhorred by the regions use of hate speech behind closed doors in its hallowed halls; Believing that a region such as Kaiserreich, who hides their true nature so as to lure unsuspecting new nations to them, does not deserve the right to be protected by this august body; Further Believing that liberating Kaiserreich will serve as a warning to other Nazi and Fascist regions, a warning that if they try to hide their true nature the Security Council will take action; Acknowledging that liberating Kaiserreich, which has built its reputation on lies and falsehoods as well as attempting to eliminate ideologies different than theirs, will leave the region open to invasion after its founder leaves;
The Security Council hereby liberates Kaiserreich.
My recommendation as the WA Delegate is to approve this resolution as a stand against fascism and raiders in general, and because it opens up the meta of the game in a big way, by allowing the use of liberations instead of condemnations like the one for The Black Hawks, which we just saw was seen as not only ineffective but counter-productive.

Sufficient Diplomacy: Opening Embassies
Embassies are a game mechanic of Nationstates that allow a region to post on another region's regional message board. They are also a sign of goodwill and friendship between regions. At the moment we have received an embassy from the "Gypsy Lands", which I am investigating because I don't know anything about them. In the meantime, however, we have also received a suggestion from a longstanding member on the Nationstates forum (which I am active on), telling us that some of the best places to get embassies with are:
NationStates | The Embassy A region which is pre-built as an embassy hub for different regions. People from all around the game's world post there. NationStates | The Bar on the corner of every region A casual place for chatting between people of different regions. NationStates | The NewsStand A subscription service in the form of a region, The Newsstand will post all the new newspapers of various regions on their regional message board, allowing those of us who are interested to be plugged into regional affairs.
Should we establish embassies with these more casual embassy-focused regions?
