Sufficient Union: The Unofficial SV Region on Nationstates

[X] Vote against the Condemn Ever-Wandering Souls resolution.

[X] Transfer responsibility in the Security Council to the WA Delegate's discretion, placing GA and SC resolutions to vote when needed.
- [X] If at least 3 people feel the GA/SC motion is important enough to vote on, the motion should immediately be opened to voting.

On the subject of the map and light GSRP I think it would be a wise decision to have something form of game elements going on. It could assist in saving the region from loosing player interest as voter turn-out in here has already massively reduced, some game-like elements connected to things could help in keep the region active. What exactly we should do I am not sure, but something simple should be fine.

Honestly my enthusiasm has been massively reduced after my short period of exposure with the nationstates community. I haven't had any personal issues but I have seen a huge amount of shittiness and toxicity I'm not really sure I want to import to Sufficientvelocity.

It's been two months, and the Sufficient Velocity Nationstates Experiment is all but dead. In memory, here is its cenotaph:

The only active member of the management of the Union is Hearre. Overall, the activity rate of remaining members is 11/21.

Congratulations are in order to Curia Indicum Regum, for achieving Tyranny by Majority, perhaps the rarest government style in existence.

Congratulations to Hearre and Glowing Waste, for achieving the government policy of Sortition. Didn't know that was a thing.

Hearre has moved from 3 first places to 10. That's a big improvement.

Overall, it was a fun little experiment. I'd request a management restructure, but it doesn't really matter. Shame this never took off.

If I was to blame anything, I'd be that the game is trite and the forum so bad as to allow open white nationalists.

Still, it was good while it lasted.

The management restructure has taken place, the bayonets of my armies have made it so. The loyal armies of Ayrarat are surrounding the Assembly Hall, there is a colonel in every broadcast room, and I seat upon my ancient, wrinkled brow the crown in the gutter. Do not be alarmed, the Regional Salvation Committee is now in control.

Or rather, I noticed the WA ambassadorship had fallen on me a few weeks ago.

This is quite possibly last muster call of the region. I will now pose before you all an important question: shall we pull the plug on this region, or volte-face to the very vibrant roleplaying scene in NationStates?

I don't have any actual substance to either proposal, by virtue of coming up with this as I go along, but I can tell you what will happen:
  • If you all vote to pull the plug there will be one less useless server cluttering up Discord's abominably bad user interface. The shrill cry of your terrified citizens will thunder in your inboxes, only to be cut off by the silence of unperishing nightfall. So there's that.
  • If you all vote to become a roleplaying region I will do...something, like challenges via Squishy's Wacky Worldbuilding threads. I do have actual experience with this side of NS though.
And no, I don't believe in write-in options, except for the one you all obviously have of just stripping me of WA nominations.

We have in-built vote checking software but I am a prematurely old creature, staring in paralyzed fawn-like terror at advanced technological features such as marking off simple checkboxes, so use the established voting format or don't if that so pleases you. It's all the same show of hands to me. I will count very slowly the results sometime next week.

I think, ultimately I am a bit of a conservative, in the sense that things being lost makes me afraid and vaguely uncomfortable, so I favour it as a roleplaying region, but ultimately hold no strong feelings either way - I will probably end up following what the Ayaratid Commonwealth decides, because bayonets were mentioned.
