I feel like at some point she is inevitably going to pull us aside for a private chat, and we can ask her question then.

We can speed this up a few ways. There's the direct route you people seem to favor, there is simply annoying her till goes "f it, let's just get this over and done with, hopefully he'll stop doing this" in which case flirting works perfect, and then there's having said flirting actually work and she pulls us into a corner to go make out in which case we can ask her question in between the whole us being teenagers thing.

So, yeah, I feel like this helps us plenty.

I mean, she's not going to super publically transfer to our school and just ignore us. At some point, probably before the day is done, she is almost definitely going to want to have a private chat with us. As long as there's no significant hollow attack in the next 8 hours or so we are fine.

So, I mean, yeah. What we are interested in is just going to come to us, might as well let it and have some fun in the mean time.

Actually, Keigo and Mizuiro both develop the ability to see spirits. So the potential was there, it just never grew into anything. In canon, anyways. Plus, Keigo and Mizuiro are both Ichigo's friends who hang out with him fairly often. Far more often than Orihime did at the start of the series.
