Strange Tides

We only need them to be away yeah. And Hephastus quite reasonably just really wanted a magma forge like any true dworf fortress player. He doesn't care how we get the site

Getting the fey to move (for our future expansion, I mean) might be easier if we already cleaned the badlands. And if we don't kill them we won't discover whether or not they have allies.

Or force them to convert to proper Greek citizens. What? One of our hero's basically married into our nobility. Might as well be cosmopolitan about it.
Huh. We've got ourselves

1. A city of people fleeing Greece
2. A local tribe that we are on the path of merging with
3. A SECOND local tribe that we may try to convert to the Greek pantheon.

Are we seriously going to found Rome? Because that sounds awesome.

Excellent. We get He-Man a bona fide forge-on-earth within our holdings, no doubt capable of building truly grand works, that will also double up as a holiday dacha/doomsday bunker for the man when he's sick of greek god assholery.

All for the price of (receiving) epic tier arms and armor. Perfect. Whether we bribe or attack the fey I dont really care, though I'm wary of war... field battles are risky and we could lose it all in a couple of ill advised votes. The eco way is slower but safer.

By the way @thread, what do we want our political system to be? Because if you all want a hereditary monarchy, we could do worse than starting one with Augurios. He's slowly turning into legendary founder material, is married with a Latin, and his kids are destined for greatness... not too shabby for a legitimacy-giving "founder" hero king. He's been tempered by his experiences.

Especially considering Isidorios wont have any heirs... unless we want another system of goverment.

Edit: Also, Gradivus and Heaphestus seemed oddly... conspirational or something. They might be... if not conspiring something together, then mayhaps reaching an understanding. When we are a bit more settled, we might want to build him a temple too. Besides, he seems like a decent replacement for Demeter if we ever have another falling out with her... we would have to set the ground slowly tbroughout the years though, building both of them temples and gradually shifting the focus of sacrifices and attention from Demeter to Gradivus so as to ensure any tantrums she throes will be comparatively slow and in any case not present her with any clear break she can use as an excuse.

We should slot an Isidorios action with Semni, asking her all she knows about Gradivus.

@edit2: Wow, Gradivus has war too?? Now wr have to have him. Ares is one of the worst and replacing him would do good in the long term.

Hereditary sounds best to me. It's a good thing we kept Argurios alive now that he's been humbled a bit.

If we go that way we need to have a sort of city council to back him up. Not out of having any irl concerns for democracy, but because it would be a way for our subjects to present us their grievances beforey they blow up in our faces, and also keep information blackouts and groupthink somewhat contained. Would have to have lesser power than the king though, perhaps one third of Hypheria's power (in very abstract terms) compared to the admin power held by thr King and royal administration. A sort of Paternalistic Monarchy.

So a hereditary executive branch and Republican Senate with low-level governors appointed by local voting?

Keeping with our Pseudo Roman motif, they shall be dubbed the Domus Imperatoris, Domus Senatus, and Urbem Judices.

Then we get rid of the monarchy, establish a kind of democracy that is an oligarchy, and wait for a character named 'Caesar' ...

@bigbow, Gradivus actually hasn't shown his hand at all so far, only during the marriage of Semni and Argurios, as he is the one presiding over these things.

The one who keeps meddling is Culsans, who has portends, beginnings, endings, gateways, fate and time as his domains.

Could we have a mixed pantheon? Like we would have Gradivus as our War God, and Hephaestus as God of Craftsmen etc.

Frankly who would be stupid enough to refuse ? If Hephaestus, doesn't strike us down in anger, we'll be lynched by our own population.

Fuck YES. Thank fuck Argurios bad rolls didn't screw this up.

We're probably gonna piss off the Fey, but it's probably worth it to get a start on getting some decent weapons.

Indestructible gear crafted by the God of craftsmanship. Do we get to keep the gear during and after his quest?
