  • [X]Plan: Everything for our Family
-[X]The Sisters You Love: Miriko and Makoto have been through so much that you want to make sure they can do anything you can ask them.
-[X]The Sisters Who Work: You need to teach them how to forge. Failing that will lead to even worse things for you… and them.
-[X] The Enigma of Sakamoto Ryōma: He doesn't come many days, but when he does… he comes with books, from the foreigners. Dutch and English books about… government, and law. And firearms.
-[X]Refine Materials: Improve the quality of your raw materials through tempering and careful craftsmanship, increasing the durability and effectiveness of future weapons. (can only make Iron to Steel)
-[X]Learn from Local Blacksmiths & Artisans: Visit nearby blacksmiths or craftsmen to learn their techniques and gain new insights into their toolmaking or weaponry methods. These techniques may improve the aesthetics, efficiency, or strength of your own designs.
    [X] The Foundation of materials
-[X]The Sisters You Love: Miriko and Makoto have been through so much that you want to make sure they can do anything you can ask them.
-[X]Eavesdrop on Conversations: These villagers do not really seem to be anything more than informants for Sakamoto, or the Shogun, but that does not mean you can't learn news from them.
-[X]Gather Materials: Scavenge wood, iron, or even discarded metal from old weapons to use in your workshop.
-[X]Refine Materials: Improve the quality of your raw materials through tempering and careful craftsmanship, increasing the durability and effectiveness of future weapons. (can only make Iron to Steel)
-[X]Investigate Gun Design Theory: Dive into the principles behind firearm mechanics. Look into blueprints, books, or historical records on matchlocks, pistols, and rifles to develop a more advanced and innovative design for your weapons.

-[X] I think… being a ruler doesn't mean you deserve respect. It just means that you're in a position where you can easily earn it through skill and honor. Yet many also avoid that path, relying solely on cruelty and the power of wealth to enforce respect. I can only hope that by making weapons that allow the common person to fight back against those who abuse their power… I can, in some small way, ensure that the world becomes a kinder place.

-[X] ... "I'm not a thinker, or a noble, or even an emperor. I am but a simple blacksmith, gunsmith. I don't think I have a perfect answer, or perhaps any answer. But ... if there is one thing that I do understand, it's that firearms are an equalizer. You don't have to be strong, you don't have to be smart, you don't need a trace of noble blood. Load, cock, and shoot, that's it. If those in power don't care about the contract, if the people below them don't have the strength to fight back, if justice were only a word meant for those who could afford it? Then there is nothing I can do. Nothing but one thing. Build the firearms that shall force those in power to care about the social contract. That shall force the word 'Justice' to mean something for all. That shall give the people the power to fight back if they are oppressed. I am no lord, no philosopher, no great leader. I'm but a simple gunsmith, and that is all I shall need to do."
[x]"I think there isn't a clear answer, certainly not from thinkers a world away who have never set foot in our land. Not yet anyway. If we wish to find one, we will need more than just your opinion and mine."
[X] The only real path we have is the one that can be forged. We can think of many things and it could be true to that person. We forge our honor, we forge steel, and we forge war. Though each chain is the one we have to be willing to carry. We have to continuously change as the steel changes under the hammer. Non ever the same. Taking time, we need a bridge between the two powers. Destroying one or the other gains nothing. It is the links that need to be between them that change can happen.

-[X] "I don't think there is a clear answer that can be applied everywhere and works in every era. It seems these foreigners struggle with that even in their own lands. The answer in each nation must be found in each nation. What must be done however is to ensure as many people who are natives to this land have the power to shape that answer. This should include the low: farmer, the craftsman, and the merchant, not just the high: Emperor, the Shogun, or the Samurai. I'm not completely sure of what I have said earlier but the I am sure of what I am about to say: the gun and who controls it shall decide on what Japan shall look like and I intend on giving some control of it to the people so they can never be stomped on again by those on high like they did with my parents."
[X] I think we are only responsible for ourselves. We observe the world, we act on those observations, and are responsible for those actions. If that means trusting someone, and others are hurt because of that trust, then it is our fault for not acting with more care in choosing to trust them, just as the betrayal itself is their own fault. This does not make it wrong to trust others, only to do so blindly. We are responsible for the actions we take, even as their effects ripple out into the world, physically and through the ideas, words, and deeds of others.

    - [X] "Much in way of how the older generation of blacksmiths would consider the new, better ways to be heretical to the old one, it's the same with how the Shogun is doing right now with the current state of our country. All I know is that if a leader wishes to be followed, they must set an example by practicing their own words. It's meaningless if they merely spout ideals without living by them. And if they wish for respect, they must show that they are worthy of it, to be entrusted with it. If I must give an allegory, then we must temper the blade that is Hinomoto with the fires that are the foreigners, to expel the weaknesses that have plagued the blade for too long in the form of dismantling the Shogunate, for absolute power corrupts, and it cannot be entrusted in the hands of a single person for too long of a period of time. If it must remain as such, then they must have the council of those wise with the ways of the world, and not mere bootlickers. Only then shall the blade of Hinomoto be forged into a fearsome weapon."
[X] Plan: Why do people make a Plan for only one decision?
-[X] Write-in: "These talks of political systems have made me confounded rather than consider any side. I know this as I do not consider myself becoming some fool in the Emperor's court when I can be swept away at any moment no matter the reason or rhyme. Only I can agree, however, is these philosopher's focus on the people. There may be come a time when I have apprentices of my own, and instead of treating them as how a tyrant that they speak of against their subjects - it shall be one of a family: a home. Best way to see it is a 'People's Home', the only way I can ensure the people under my employ and apprenticeship are to be satisfied and live the best lives whilst working with me."

  • [X] Plan: Investors Talk + Revolver
-[X] Find investors: You need to have people fund your projects. And that means, you need to find people willing to invest in you. So, you will find them.
-[X]The Sisters Who Work: You need to teach them how to forge. Failing that will lead to even worse things for you… and them.
-[X]The Enigma of Sakamoto Ryōma: He came back with something… and that is this. "I believe I have made contact with people who can help you with producing even more.
-[X]Attempt to make a New Weapon: You want to channel your power of creation into something new. Something that you can use and say… Yes, this will be good enough.

  • [X] New Beginnings
[X] Plan: Death to the Old Order
-[X]What do you make it out of (Must be either iron or steel or high-grade steel) Steel
-[X]Standard Barrel: Balanced performance for most combat situations. (Cost 1 Steel)
-[X] Rifled Barrel: A more advanced option. Rifling improves both accuracy and effective range, making it the standard for most modern firearms. However, crafting a rifled barrel requires higher-quality materials and greater precision. (Cost: 1 High-Grade Steel)
-[X]Attempt to Develop a Cartridge Design: You will attempt to invent a small-caliber metallic cartridge for your pistol, similar to the ammunition used by the Henry Repeating Rifle. (Note: As this technology has not yet been independently created by you, you must dedicate a Research Action this turn to develop it. If successful, the cartridge design will be completed and available for use starting the turn after the action is taken, and even comes with its own interlude with the finished rolls.)
    -[X]Write in. 40 caliber
-[X] Six Rounds: The standard for most modern revolvers in the West. Six shots provide a perfect balance between firepower and reliability without compromising too much on size or weight. (Cost 1 Steel)
-[X] Carved Hardwood (Premium): Using a dense hardwood like oak, walnut, or rosewood, you can craft a grip that is not only tougher but also beautiful, giving the weapon an air of craftsmanship and prestige. Slightly heavier but more durable. (Cost: 10 Wood)
-[X] Reliability: Your priority is making a weapon that can fire under any conditions: rain, dirt, rough handling by untrained or unskilled operators. Even if it isn't the most accurate or powerful, it will shoot when you pull the trigger.
-[X]Write in Name: "Sakumo" named after our father as both dedication to his memory and as vengeance against the samurai.
    [x]plan Iaijutsu
    -[X] Steel
    -[X]Standard Barrel
    -[X] Five Rounds
    -[X]Write in: 8mm
    -[X] Bone
-[X]Attempt to Develop a Cartridge Design
    -[X] Reliability
    -[X] Flying Dragon
    [X] plan beauty in simplicity
    [X] It's Time To D-D-Duel
    -[X] Steel
-[X]Short Barrel: Enhanced mobility and faster aiming but reduced accuracy and range.
-[X] Paper Cartridges:A lightweight, pre-packaged load combining powder and ball, wrapped in treated paper that burns away when fired. This system dramatically speeds up loading times compared to loose powder and ball, making it excellent for combat situations where every second counts.
    -[X] .45 caliber
-[X] Five Rounds: A classic and reliable design, though uncommon in most revolvers. The cylinder is slightly lighter and more compact, making the weapon easier to carry and quicker to draw. (Cost 5 Iron)
-[X] Ease of Maintenance: You prioritize a design that is simple to disassemble, clean, and repair. Any could keep it working with minimal tools or experience, making it a favorite for harsh environments.
    -[X]疾風(Hayate/Gale)

-[X] What you intend, I can only see at the end of a long, bloody path. But you already know that.
--[x]...If you can give me what I need, I can give you what you need. There is nothing that can guarentee your success, not with such lofty ambitions, but I can certainly give you a fighting chance.
---[x] I do ask however that you listen when I speak of the requirements for the weapons I can craft you. My father was dismissed by the Emperor and his court for declaring replication of the foreigner's weapons impossible at scale with what we had. He died for that dismisal, though not without felling many of his killers first. Now my own current contractors demand I craft a thousand more of Sakamoto-sama's revolver in as little as three years with a pittance of the funding I need, based on estimates they made, when it took me a year to design and craft the one. Forgive me for saying this, but firearms are not spear heads, a simple lump thing to be turned out enmasse. I can give you what you need, but you must be willing to hear my voice if I say it will take longer, or more resources, than you first believe it will.
    [X]Write in version Kirron:
    [X]Write in:
-[X] In my readings about our nations history, I encountered the concept of Gekokujo, the low overthrows the high. It brought about most of the beginning of most ages of country, for good and for ill. It has brought about visionaries, tyrants, and chaos in equal measure. Gekokujo is inevitable.
-[X] What we can do is to give the people and through them the nation of Japan to seize control of gekokujo, a revolution of not one man or a class of men but of the entire nation to lead themselves forward. The nation shall stand against tyrants of the past, invaders of the present, for a free Japan of the future.
-[X] Give me men, materials, and machinery and I'll hand the power for Japan to seize its own destiny.

You will find out the results of this after the workshop upgrade turn.
