So I've been working on a new story called Revalkyrie (portmanteau of Reverse+Valkyrie and Revolution+Valkyrie), which I bring up here as my Servant profiles, including some who've already appeared here like Cathy Morland, will be showing up in it, just without any Type-Moon references since I want this to be an original work

Thing is, I'm still worried the concept may be too close to F/GO, even if it's supposed to be the reverse of that, so I wanted people's feedback on that. That's part of the reason I want it to be an original work, for fear it'd look like a hatefic otherwise (the other part being no canon characters, or canon portrayals of characters, were planned to be in it anyway)

The premise is as follows:
The main villain organisation is Horologium, who've conquered a series of dreamworlds based on people's collective ideas about the future. By controlling them, and destroying them in the case of a 'High Threat' future, they'll 'guide humanity to the best possible future' i.e., control any future that people can conceive. As Horologium are already venturing into people's minds, they can also summon historical, mythical, and fictional characters from human memory

However, a bunch of scattered resistance groups have popped up against Horologium, some formed by people from the predicted worlds and some by former Horologium Agents, and they've been able to steal some of their Antikythera (summoning devices) and use their public domain bodyguards against them. The main character being the daughter of a Horologium Agent who steals his Antikythera, eventually forming her own resistance

[X] Try introducing Saver to Berserker, since she may be taking a shine to her, allowing Rider to slip out and get us further into the Gauntlet.

To the people voting to leave, I see you haven't played fate extra, you want to collect the keys as early as possible so you can stop worrying about them.

I mean....as I have said before, really recently, it reminds me more of Persona than F/GO. Perhaps due to the dream worlds? I'm not sure you have to worry about the concept being too close to F/GO.

It's kind of up to you how many fate-ism you leave in your character designs in terms of feeling original, but generally speaking, it's not like Fate has an exclusive stake on tying its premise to public domain characters. You should be good.

True that. We might not have to play perfect, but the safest approach to time management remains working under the assumption that we haven't done enough until we hit a roadblock that effectively forces us to turn back.

Ought to say I've now posted the first chapter of Revalkyrie, the project I mentioned previously which is planned to feature quite a few of my Heroic Spirit profiles, if in a non-Fate context:

Revalkyrie Original - Novel

Charlotte Chretien is a moody high school senior with plummeting grades and a long-broken family. But things have gotten even worse, with her learning her world isn't 'real', that it's one of many worlds under threat, and that her enemies include some of the greatest names of the past. However...

Though because I'm now working on it, yeah, I'm sorry to say it's very likely that this Quest is again gonna be affected in the process. Though this Quest and Revalkyrie will still have quite a bit in common, given their casts

Okay, I have put this Quest on 'Hiatus' instead of 'Dropped' just in case, but yeah, AFAIK I'm not gonna be continuing it, and I apologise to everyone for saying I'd still try to. Still, thanks for sticking with it this far

I am just not a fan of Fate/ or Type-Moon in general, and I don't want to keep pretending that I am. I do at least like writing up profiles for mythic, historic, and literary characters, and created Revalkyrie so I could do so in a non-Fate/ setting. The Heroic Spirits here could still show up as Remembered Dead there, in fact Cathy Morland is already planned

If you'd like to know how the rest of this Quest would've played out and what I had planned for it, PM me and I can give you a general plot outline

This a pity this is over before it could spread wing but I'll see revalkyrie
Though I hope you revisit this or pass this quest to someone in the future but for now
The tale ends here
