Starfinder (Worm/Starfinder RPG)

The attack on Victoria in the presence of Amy is quite mysterious. The only hint of meaning I can think of is that it was some ridiculously complicated plan to play on John's emotions to lure him out alone. In any case, it makes sense for John to inform the Armsmaster about this, and then go to the warehouse together.

Question number two: how does Amy know the location of the warehouse?

hope john retaliates against coil, it would also be nice an interlude from coil's perspective to see what the hell he planned to achieve with this

Ok my speculation on Amy's new power:
Its Shaper, so it's probably still bio manipulation of some sort. She was able to fly while carrying Vicky shortly after triggering. She could not heal Vicky.

So self bio-manipulation. I don't think she would grab a random bystander or cat and turn them into wings, so it's probably self bio manipulation. So Browbeats power on steroids without the short range telekinesis.

Maybe she doesn't have intrusive thoughts on horrible designs she can use? Star Finder's Passenger holds back the vast majority of what it can do and makes John work for it. Maybe Shaper took that idea and ran with it. So if Amy wants new bio designs she needs to obtain samples and get into fights. If she wants to be able to heal Vicky when she is hurt again, then she needs to study and work for it. Like, if she studies blood she can make coagulants and synthetic blood. But she also needs to make and use blood based weapons for overall blood abilities to improve. If she studies John's healing serum, she can spit out her own version, but her healing serum won't improve unless she also makes and use an ouch serum.

Huh so did Amy get Marquis style X--biokinesis of like blood or bone or something? Cause as op story breaking bullshit as her canon power was the shit Marquis could do with his bonekinesis was kinda crazy.

So if the Empire were the ones that stole his suit I wonder if this wasn't actually a Coil plot but a Medhall plot to acquire his healing ampules.

All though then again the Empire don't have a Tinker who could have repaired and maintained his suit so maybe it could be a Coil plot to frame both the Merchants and Empire.

You know, much as powers are sort of randomized on the spot and Amy getting exactly her canon power under different circumstances would be a total cop-out... I'd still have thought "something fucked up Vicky" would result in something more Marquis-ish.

Unless she, like, grew herself a set of wings on the spot. Maybe Amy got injured too?
Either she works similar to a Blacklight infected individual and cannibalize biomass from her body or from other sources to create constructs is I think the idea is.
here is the big question, why was someone in his old suit?
Probably the one he cannot procurement from the Neo-Nazis got stolen by Coil, this is a joint OP from E88 and Coil or in this case, Coil making use of E88 as E88 makes use of the Merchants.

Anyways found TYPO's @Bowlerhat Guy... I think?
Simultaneously, I detected several scans of the men in front of me, as my custom microlab - a class feature of the Biohacker class - powered on inside the drones chassis.

Dimly, I wondered how the hell whoever had done this even had the wherewithal to determine which Van I was in, assuming I was even the target of this attack.

Meanwhile, I pushed myself to my feet and sprinted for the whole, pausing near the register to yell at the poor guy hiding behind it

Your grasp of the difference between s and 's at the end of the word is absolutely 100% wrong. The rest though, are correct.

Hey, Marquis could actually fly with bone wings. He pulled some serious nonsense shit.
Pretty sure he couldn't. His power was basically Kaiser but with bones, he could freely control and grow it but it still obeyed the laws of gravity so any unsupported material just fell.

That did let him do shit like mimicking super strength by covering himself in bone armor and anchoring it into the ground with more bones. If he had enough practice with it to create the material in specific structures then he could get armor that is stronger than steel and he could use that to exert force up until the material breaks.

Nope, he could actually damn well fly like a boss. He could create bat wings of bone and fly, manipulating holes in the wings to change air resistance as needed. Shards are pretty darn bullshit like that, and all Shards have the capability to give their hosts the ability to fly, but not everyone has it.

A man, flying with great skeletal bat wings, a kind of lace or filigree of bone stretched between segments, rose into the air to intercept me.

No, to intercept a member of my swarm.

My swarm worked to cut him off, but he was agile, persistent. As massive and bulky as those wings seemed, they shapeshifted in the process of each flap, the lattice of bone opening up to let air pass through, then closing when he wanted the air resistance to bear himself higher, or to one side.

In the end, a forcefield appeared through one wing, and he dropped a solid thirty feet before he managed to catch himself. It gave me a window of opportunity.

He didn't manipulate air resistance, he simply opened and closed holes in the wings, what he did do is probably create HUGE wings and flapped them up and down but to increase their flight characteristics he made holes in the wings while flapping the wings upwards and closed them while flapping down. According to your own quote that is.

I am now imagining Amy as a female version of Kars, the Ultimate Lifeform, from JJBA: Battle Tendency.

So John's Passenger is like a Passenger version of John? John says hi, acting chill, and then unloads random Professor Parahuman knowledge on people. John's Passenger says [Query], acting chill, and then acts like Professor Human and unloads random [Data] on humans to other Passengers.

Shaper: [Query]
Star Finder Passenger: [Hi. Yeah, humans are very averse to biological manipulation of sentient life forms, especially humans. It's a reaction rooted in their evolution to shun the disfigured who are more likely to be carriers of disease. Stories of "body horror" pervade human history.]
Shaper: [!!!]
Small mistake there, but the trivia SFP gave there was actually mildly useful to the situation, so it wouldn't be like John at all.

Flying....Amy....

Why do I get the mental image of Amy with feathered wings? That would certainly inspire a lot of conflict given what Amy would resemble.
I mean, we have kind of being assumed that it is straight bio-manipulation but an alternative would be some oseokinesis like her father. So instead of drama due to her limitations and fear of what she could do it could be drama with Carol because her power is obviously related to Marquis'. People could even make the connection in forums and her being Marquis' daughter be public knowledge.

But the real question is... will the expression of Amy's power give Carol a stroke, or not? :p

I guess that would really depend on how the flight is gained. She's already going to be predisposed to being upset about Marquis' child that is living under her roof gaining powers. If her wings are made of bone, I don't think happy times are in order in the Dallon household.

It also to me checks out that Amy would get a power that allows flight and doesn't allow healing, because her thought when triggering in canon was going to have been something closer to "Vicky needs healing I want to save her!!" but here it'll have been "Vicky needs healing I have to get her to the healer".

I'm guessing self-bio-manipulation for the power.

Kind of want Amy to have a shaper version of the flying artillery powerset. Like I'm talking super strength, & Flight from a changer ability. Then give her retractable arm cannons for mixing acids to make a weak blaster similar to Shielder when going for non lethal and scaling up to Purity Levels when she just stops caring. Shaper shard could totally do it and from what we know this would still allow her to do what she's demonstrating currently, though I'm betting it won't and be a more classic Mover powerset. Honestly it would be hilarious to see Carol mess up such a daring synthesis of her power origins.

Hm. If Shaper pinged off of Glory Girl and John... there are A LOT of possibilities. I don't know nearly enough about Starfinder to know possible details. But self-Biokinesis seems the most likely.

She COULD still heal like that, but it would be more difficult.

But well, if it is self-biokinesis, why is she still injured so badly that Victoria is carrying her for help?
So its going to be neat to find out what BHG has under his hat this time. From experience? Its going to be fuuuun!
