Spirit of an Age (Exalted)

[X] You can speak and listen, but not read or write, that must be corrected. But unless you can find a school, you'll need to pay someone to do that.
-[X] Entrepreneurship. It will tie you down to this location, but you'll make more money faster.
--[X]Over the past week we have been looking at market stalls to find what sells for the most and see if we can make it.

How? We look at the market to determine what sells for the most money that is already being sold there, and contemplate if we have the skills to make and sell that product ourselves for the money we need.
Basically this. We've had no mention of what items are on sale and how well they seem to be selling.
How would we pick a product when we don't know what sells?

Other than flooding the market with fidget spinners

Author Saving Throw
"I can speak Riverspeak, but I can't read or write it. So I'll need to fix that."

She nods.

"That will take money however, but I have some ideas in that direction." You continue.

"Oh?" She asks.

"Glass seemed to fetch a high price at the market. I could make things out of glass. But then again, the margins might not be that great if the materials are as expensive as I think they may be. Hmm. Maybe Steel? I saw a lot of iron, but steel seemed rare enough that some tricks I know could get me a nice profit." You trail off.

"Then there's textiles. I can do things with textiles." You say almost to yourself.

"If it is just literacy you're after, I could teach you."

You look up at the woman, "Just like that?"

She smiles, "Well, no."

You tilt your head to indicate she should continue.

"The Immaculate Philosophy's Cloister here in Nexus keeps the peace with most of the spirits, but three disease spirits have started to disagree with how much worship they get. They almost assuredly plan to start an epidemic to extort more worship. If you help myself and my companion stop them, I will teach you how to read and write Riverspeak."

Hmm.

[] Help this 'Immaculate Cloister' deal with these 'disease spirits'. An epidemic is always bad.
[] Go into the glass business
[] Go into the Steel business
[] Go into the textile business
[] Something else (write in?)

OOC: Here's hoping my saving throw works.

I don't know if we benift from worship, but in general I am against people worshiping malevolent beings.

Can someone please give me an idea of how tough spirts of disease are likely to be? We are not combat focused.

VACCINES, BITCHES!

Looking over our character sheet we are better at fighting then I thought we were. We are loaded up with modern weaponry. Not sure if we can use it against immaterial spirit.

Can you hit something immaterial if you are immaterial?

Learning to read is good, but this should also get us XP and goodwill of the Immaculate Cloister as well.

All Solar Bureaucracy Charms

The charms list has changed to only Solar Bureaucracy Charms. Shame. Solars have the best charms for making a bureaucracy that you have athority over great, but absysals have the best charms for destroying an organization.

Dragon blood have the best charms for working with other bureaucrats and keeping an organization stable and resisting attack.

Sidereal have the best charms for avoiding the attention of and taking advantage of a bureaucracy.

The Immaculate order gives worship proportional to the strength of the spirt. If we show ourselves to be power we might get a larger place on the calendar. Shame we don't know the bomb.
