Orochimaru currently loves us more than our Mother did when we left. We are so hiring him as a retainer at some point.

If I remember correctly Dan dies at the battle against Hanzo and Nawaki shortly after in a failed mission

Canon Oro 70s Kabuto High 60s
Really? That seems rather high for people who's research did so little as the only thing Oro really invented that was worth anything was the cursed seal and Kabuto only invented some body mutations which Oro had already been working on. Oh, wait never mind he got the Hashirama cells as well although still feels like it should be in the 40-50 range as all he was doing was replicating a lesser version of an individuals abilities after their death.

High but Very Narrow.

Oro made a lot more of that. Just going with Canon (since his non-canon feats get a bit ridiculous), he invented cloning, body modifications, body hoping, apparently some form of true immortality, soul-fragments that can become full-fledged versions of him if provided with a body, tons of eye transplants and presumably learned how to artificially induce the Mangekyo transformation (cause he has a ton of MS, and stuck a bunch of them in one clones head), and as you said yourself most of what Kabuto did was simply finishing and implementing Orochimaru's various projects.

He didn't invent cloning he invented partial cloning. The body mods were based off of already existing mutations. I'll acquiesce to body hoping but he accomplishes that through fuinjutsu right? When did he invent true immortality again? I'll acquiesce to this one as well but it is also a fuinjutsu feat. Eye transplants are hardly Oro's invention. I don't know enough to comment on the Mangekyo transformations but for all we know he could have used genjutsu. And that is exactly it Kabuto's contribution is no more impressive then any normal scientist.

So none of his feats seems to be tied to a biological focus really they more seemed to be focused on chakra and fuinjutsu.

I'm pretty sure that his mods are not, in fact, based off mutations. The only people we've seen walking around with air pipes in their arms have had them put there by Orochimaru. Same with the stretchy arms and what not.

I mean, fuinjutsu might be technically involved in the body-hopping (we dont' see any fuinjutsu script though), but I'm not sure how that detracts from the point that he invented it. With his Learning skill.

As for True Immortality, Orochimaru claims he has it during his fight with Sasuke after Sasuke tried to kill him while he was weak. It's when Orochimaru reveals his true form, as a result of his extensive body modifications.
Plus, he spent quite a while in the company of two other immortals (Hidan and Kakuzu), and didn't seem that interested in their bodies or how they worked, so it would be rather wierd for him to overlook such a thing if he didn't believe he had better.

While he didn't invent them, he has a far better track record with them.

It presumably is more indepth than JUST a genjutsu, to explain why the Uchiha don't give every single member Mangekyo Sharingan.

Kabuto's feats are still impressive, but just not as much so. But even then, my point was that Orochimaru still deserved a lot of credit for everything that Kabuto achieved. Orochimaru made a ton of shit.

Kakuzu Method of a mortality had a number of big flaws. Biggest far if the body is destroyed at once with a sufficiently powerful attack all those extra hearts Will be completely useless. Second major floor his method of immortality only Allows him to use his stored hearts elemental affinity if they are connected to his body if they are in the form when I can walk around he cannot use the elemental affinity.

My bad on the mods I was thinking about the fish girl he took mutations from and the sound 4 didn't really cross my mind.

I was more contesting that biology was his focus with that one and less his learning.

Fat lot of good that immortality did for him.

So does Tsunade does that mean she has a 60+ learning score as well?

The genjutsu was probably at risk of being lethal and that's why the Uchiha didn't try something like that. But honestly this is speculation on both our sides as we simply don't have enough info to know.

Ya Oro is still impressive but Kabuto isn't all that impressive he's intelligent and really good at intrigue sure but he isn't like just below Oro intelligent.
