Son of Death (30k Mortarion Quest)

I really love that Mortarion is trying to cleanse Barbarus it's really fitting. Mortarion likely earned a lot of respect from Big E, Mortarion doesn't like Daemons and is wary of them, also Big E likely noticed Mortarion's cleansing project.

[X] Humility. The Emperor may wage war on the stars and rule over billions, but has he ever laboured for his bread?
Big E has Resilience and Charisma in spades those aren't really in question. Also it's fitting given Mortarion's mussing about how the man who raised him would hate Mortarion living the humble life of a farmer, so it makes sense he would try and see how Big E is different.

[X] Camaraderie. It was mortal men that scaled the peaks of Barbarus and followed Mortarion into battle. What manner of men have followed the Emperor to this star?

I like all three of the options honestly, but these two seem the more interesting and/or fitting.

I don't care for Humility because out of character we know he has, The Emperor has been alive since like the late stone age, he's had to have mundane jobs at some point.
Big E has been around for a few centuries at most (see Maugan's post on his changes to the character)

Humility is a very, very close second.

And it better be some good frickin' bread. None of that sweet white toast nonsense, I want some brown nutty bread, Empra'.

Humility is why Mortarion descended the mountain. Humility is what let him see the inherent worth in the common people terrorized by Necare. Humility is how he earned the trust of a people so convinced he was just another monster come to kill and torment them.

7 is an auspicious number on Barbarus for reasons I assure you are totally benign and coincidental.
What's the cultural consensus of one of seven seedbeds surviving? Good omen because the seven gave redundancy, or bad because it's only seven in totality, not seven failures/seven successes.

[X] Resilience. Together, Father and Son climb the highest peaks of Barbarus, testing themselves and each other in the purest expression of body and will

What's interesting in this update is that Morty is clearly aware of his psychic senses as well as the existance of demons and some of their nature. This is actually really useful information to have.
