Sir Doge's SI Quest(Please don't get me killed, SV) [???/Gamer-esque]

As for the future...

We don't have a SG so we need to focus on magic and learn fast if we want to be realavent. We also need to a faction to join ( who are we kidding this is SV devil time) so we can join up ( we need to get a either a queen ,bishop or at min 6 pawn pices)

We also need to figure out who to approach ( Rias is out as issie will overshadow us way to fast) for that.

And finally how we can get our hands on the SG removal ritual. Seriously we need that SG haxs

Um couldn't we just absorb some manga to learn the skills we want.(Hoping we can get Tower of god manga so we can get Shinsoo)
Why do we need a faction to join? If we get strong enough we can create our own faction if we felt like it.
Why would we approach them? There plenty of things in the setting to explore.

Depending on the op but I don't think that stories count as skill books

Immortality power boost and makeing sure the world doesn't go kablooey

Because we don't want the world to go kablooey? That's kaous brigades goal after all . So we will need to fight them at some point

There are Exalted books in pdf form so would that count?
We already semi immortal with the gamer power already, so we wont get a boost in that.
We get strong enough they turn from KB into XP.:lol

Do they only detal a single skill and how to acheive it?
Semi being to opportune word there

Yeah no at least not for YEARS if not decades of hard training

True Longus will kill us so fast we will miss the You died sign
the monster creator one will spam us with magic proof monsters to wreck us
how about Immortal evil dragons?
the Goddamn Holy grail???????
we are not sooing any of the above

Yeah, the op didn't say it had to be detailed.
Easy (All skills you learn provide a boost to your stats, not just special skills. Ability to learn from .pdf/.txt computer files. Enemies at default difficulty.)
Why would take years to get to that level with the Gamer power?
I never said fight them now and if you properly munchkin the powers you could get unbelievably strong in months.

Also our powers allows us to get immortality easily compared to everyone else.

That just means we can look up skills on line not that we can learn a diferant verses magic

Strong enough to creat dozens of godzillas with magic proofing and wolverine healing?

We don't know if it stops ageing it's just a thory a gamer theory

[X] Attempt to wake the woman

Not waking the woman gets you killed in MGQ part 1 (the second of the three ways you can die before even a single battle btw).

Sweet another Sir Doge quest (i just hope we actually have to try to get a Harem this time, the other quest made it to easy)

[X] Don't wake the woman, take the time to explore your new powers.

Stats wise, everyone should go and read another 'gamer' fic based in the RWBY verse. Wisdom for the Win after all, the rest can be found via training.

Edit: our power is 'the gamer' right? does that mean we will get a balance breaker for it?

A luck based build would be both rare and interesting.

A Luck based build would be pretty hard to describe. I don't see... Just can't see it. How does that go ?

" And then the Final Boss HaXXminator appears and... Nope, he died, got it by an asteroid. You win 7 Internets Jiji. "

?

Don't think luck works like that. The asteroid sounds more like a special attack.

What game's luck allows you to bypass the plot? Luck usually affect critical rates(success, fumbles if they exist), drop rates and the chances of encountering rare stuff, etc.

Even then... If we go Luck oriented in this Quest (grinding if possible + stats points), we'll get a lot of Luck. Then what you just said would happen. A lot. It's cool to loot rare stuff, but if it happens too much it would get old very fast. It wouldn't be "rare" anymore.

Well that's my opinion. I don't say Luck isn't good, hell no. Grinding it to get more stuff, better chance at things etc... It's cool, but a build around that would kind of ruin the fun no ? Well if Luck work that way here.

So i'm asking : How Luck affects us ?

There's always rarer stuff out there, so unless we go for 100+ luck I'm dubious as to any cakewalk. Items don't win everything on their own

Well, bad luck is still luck. I wonder if that means that along with all the glorious loot, there'll be a lot of dying too.

But that's just it. It would go dumb pretty fast, you don't think so ?

"Yay, i got the Sword+2 ! "

*5 minutes later*

" Yay, i got the Sword +5 ! "

If we need a lot of Luck to even have better drop, then that's fine. Like having 100 Luck would get you like 20% more money and 10% more chance to drop something better, it would be cool. You want to really invest to get something out of it.

EDIT :

Well you're kind of right there, i guess i may be worried about it for nothing...

What game's luck stat ever does that?

If the Luck stats affects the magnitude of things that's happening to you, then it would do that. Like having 10 luck, you either got a potion or got poisoned. And having 100 luck you either got a shiny or you lose a piece of equipement or something.

It's still Luck after, it just doesn't mean you're getting Luckier

Since it references games, game luck stats are overwhelmingly positive, more crits, better drops, reduced chances of critical failure.

I've seen a total of zero games with a luck stat that actually penalizes you as it goes up, barring number rollover hijinks
