She-ra Lost Hope

Hey Rosen. You remember Day 1 better than I do. If Shalmoa is scum then who supported the Hugh monofocus?
There wasn't any truly widespread focus from what I can tell, just some broad support on the case itself until focus shifted over to the Zone/Shadell stuff. My judgment is that Hugh and Shalmoa themselves did the most to keep that interaction going, and both dropped it once it came close enough to EoD to truly justify self-pres votes.

His reads seem forced and reactive to me. Like he's more interested in pushing than evaluating. Like he's not treating his targets in good faith. Example in my upcoming response to his 469.
Zone's interaction with Shadell is the other case of this:

On a typical Day 1 on a game without hammer, yes, absolutely.

And not everyone was on the same page on whether or not hammer was in play at the beginning of the day.

Kingster/Shadell/Boohoo
I want these three to get checked N1.

I am only at P#100 at this point, and so far I only want Shadell gone.

Lynch her D2 if she keeps slanking. D1 has a total of 72 hours including a couple replacements. Slanking should not be a thing at all in this game.

I need more context. @Shadell, why did you stay on Rosen's wagon?

I didn't get the memo that you guys aren't used to playing without Majority, so people (especially town) ganging up on Rosen is the equivalent to willaging to me.

...in case I misunderstood your post and you wanted to ask me what these terms mean:
  • Willaging = Villager / Town acting Wolfy / Scummy
  • v!Player / w!Player = Player when they play as villager / wolf

Wow, uh... I understand Nictis' answer, and where I come from, most players are also very lenient on newbies, but I just couldn't believe the same thing is happening here.

I am flabbergasted. I thought my homesite was the only place filled with uh... "kind-hearted souls" except for me.

[X] Shadell

Don't even bother hiding behind excuses. Remove the safety wheels and just hit me with all you got, because otherwise I will hunt you down.

Your personal read on me is fine, but ultimately wrong. Nothing I can do to convince you out of this: You just have to get to know me mid-game.

Me constantly asking for Shalmoa's help is my personal best choice to avoid backreading because I'm a lazy player. (Having said that, this game's D1 output is so low that I'm actually backreading.)

Fair enough. Likewise it's not just the direction but a very careful framing of it. That is, having read through #100, exactly a page before I respond, a very hedged call to have me investigated.

I do think directing night actions is quite possibly stylistic, though I tend to find it somewhat scummy. "Investigate this person or not I might be wrong and know nothing" framed as having seen exactly the specific page before I engaged with those points strikes me as the most suspicious thing I've seen D1 so far.

Likewise, asking for clarification is not, in and of itself, an issue with a timeframe this tight especially. Rather, continuing to address questions specifically at Shalmoa (instead of to the general audience who's just as likely to know) smells of an attempt at well, pretty crass manipulation of one of a few varieties to me.

That is, it's a very specific arrangement of claims that looks like it has a lot more upsides for scum than town to me.

Anyway, I don't have a great read anywhere else, and since you've said not to give you time to actually catch up, not sure what else to do here really beyond

[x] Vote Zone Q11

To quote myself:

That is, town accidentally hammering -Rosen would have demonstrably been possible at that first push. People jumping on the meme after the issue was pointed out would only be wolves, and it'd be one of the most obvious scumplays imaginable with numbers that'd likely require multiple scum jumping on. A bad hammer that ends up obviously outing half the scum team strike me as a good hypothetical trade, so there was no real reason to swap once the thread was aware.

Particularly when others did already swap off and that wasn't even really in the cards anymore, much less a genuine accidental hammer.

Well FWIW I'm currently at the start of Page 6 / P#126, and I have no intentions of changing my will: I still want people to check you.

I got nothing else to say other than:
"Well that's just bad timing."

The only one I consider alive other than Shalmoa recently is Nictis, and personally I would still rather ask Shalmoa for info just because I talked with them the most. It's a positive feedback loop.

I only now see that there is a nifty tool below this reply box that tells me who are viewing this thread. NGL, I would probably keep asking Shalmoa as my go-to when it comes to meta-related questions.

Hm. I wanted to ask what this does have to do with you not moving your vote from Rosen, but after checking VC 1.3 I see that you voted Ori, so... yeah, I got nothing on this one.

It's odd. At this point I feel like I'm just fighting you for the sake of proving you wrong, regardless of your actual alignment.

Again, it wasn't like you were trying to evaluate her, just push her. You flat out ignored Shal's answer that Shad's behavior is normal. But you continued to push the idea that it was scum and parked your vote on her even after she dismantled your push.

I'm kinda stuck in two different reads of a situation with three possibilities. I don't really have a read on Hugh, and my read on Shalmoa is based on Shalmoa's actions around Hugh. I'm viewing it as either they're both Town and scum have just let it suck all the air of the room, or they're both scum and doing a strange kind of performance where they pivot out at the last moment while still getting credit if the other dies. Except if we kill one and they're Town that'll just make us need to confirm the other as well.

I'm feeling like taking out someone who has largely stayed away from it but still pushed it on. Which I'm recalling as Zaealix in particular. I'll need to check on that.

I'm still of the opinion that Zaea's thought process is really pure, even if it also ends up being not even remotely townie when evaluated without the context of Zaealix. I think of the more LHF votes, this would be one of the worst.

[x] Vote: Zone Q11

What are the votes looking like? I'd prefer Zone, but if it's not able to get traction, I'd vote Shal over Rosen. I haven't had any time to dig into Hugh, but I'll get through what I can with the time remaining.

I'm gonna ask you the same question I've asked basically everyone else then:

If I flip scum, who do you think needs to be investigated next? If I flip town, who do you think needs to be investigated next?

I'm gonna precommit to that a bit so we can build up an alternative while I grab quotes.

[X] Vote Rosen
I've a post quota to meet and I'm not familiar with the theme show firsthand so here!
[X]Null.
Alright hammer is active and Rosen's at least said something so I guess I'll back off and think a bit more on how to develop this landscape.
Third vote on Rosen initially and second to back off. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned before that this just seems strange and not really like Zaealix.

sees Hugh post.
Uhh.

Uhhhhhhhhhh.

Lost track of time and forgot to keep checking after like 6:30

@.@ catching up again real quick

This is a good note but shady as hell to try to argue that a newbie should actually have a reasonable explanation for their actions ready at a moment's notice.
I have unreasonably high standards when it comes to newbies.
Again, it wasn't like you were trying to evaluate her, just push her. You flat out ignored Shal's answer that Shad's behavior is normal. But you continued to push the idea that it was scum and parked your vote on her even after she dismantled your push.
Yes and no. In my latest post that you quoted (P#330), I had already accepted that Shadell's argument to not switch votes was reasonable (which has nothing to do with Shalmoa FWIW).

I did not specify that Shadell was scum anymore after my push had been dismantled, but I indeed kept pushing her nonetheless "for some reason" no matter what her alignment was.

Do whatever you want with this, but it is what happened.

@hugh_donnetono Readslist please.
@Shalmoa Readslist please.
  1. @-Rosen - light sus, wouldn't mind if he got voted, mostly have my vote there to put that money where my mouth is and to see if anyone chooses to jump on it (cough).
  2. @Zone Q11 - has some weird... I suppose biases? that I don't think are helpful but seems to be playing pretty well besides that. light town.
  3. @Shalmoa - light sus, wouldn't mind if he, got voted, didn't actually vote for him cuz I didn't think his wagon would need help
  4. @InterstellarHobo - ih why
  5. @hugh_donnetono - definitely scum
  6. @Seven - seems to be playing alright? light town
  7. @Cyricubed - seems like he knows what he's doing? moderate town
  8. @Zaealix - definitely zaealix
  9. @NemoMarx - could be posting more I think. null.
  10. @Nictis - definitely nictis
  11. @Scia - way more active than usual, which is good but also unusual. null.
  12. @Kingster - has that newbie town vibe, but also many have pointed out some pretty good points as to why the things he's done have been sus. null.

Are you against switching to zone?
@Shalmoa Readslist please.

-Rosen: Strangely set on ignoring even considering town!Shal as a world. I don't feel -Rosen's expanding his hunting to try and catch anything here, but there might be shenanigans I just missed. Scumlean.
Zone Q11: I can follow along with his presses, he commits to his presses, and I don't feel like he's actually misrepresenting anything. Culture clash, slightly shady continued shading of Kingster, but overall townlean.
InterstellarHobo: MIA, null read, possible POE scum.
hugh_donnetono: More interesting as an anvil than dead. Possibly POE scum, but I'm not actually reading them as that?
Seven: Pretty pure progression, clean arguments, townlean.
Cyricubed: Feels the purest of anyone pushing on me. Townlean, but quieter than usual.
Zaealix: Too pure to be a wolf. Townread.
NemoMarx: Pretty pure, does not commit easily, townlean.
Nictis: Feels like actually hunting. Leaning towards town!Nictis arrangement again. Some slightly scummy pushing, but current arrangement is properly interesting.
Scia: Null read, I feel like she's committed more than usual this game but gamestate is leaving her absent in the way it usually does when she's actually town.
Kingster: Townread, for reasons I've stated several times.

In short, I want to kill -Rosen, hugh, and IH in basically that order at the moment.
