These are vibe reads since I'm not doing a review and can't remember much atm

It was a poke and a wild-ass hot-take, as so labelled. Not really a question. Answering it was never the right answer, but the worst answer was "miller" every time. I think the best possible answer would've been to do what Zaealix did and consider it as an interesting take for a N0 scenario. The best answer I personally expected from hugh was a :thonk:.

Do you believe such a question needs to have a right, correct "answer"?

In general, I'm not interested in answers to hypothetical questions. I wanted to see what hugh was thinking for this game, and how hugh was thinking, and I figured out eventually that he was paying quite a bit of attention and thinking his posts through rather a lot. Despite that, he went with "the lulz" instead of saying "hey Shal, you're being pretty sus". So my personal opinion is that thinking "Oh yeah, Shal just wanted to get a wrong answer from hugh and dunk him for it" is, IMO naive. Both for how I play the game and for what resembles an even remotely effective strategy.

Also we were desperately short on wild-ass hot-takes to discuss at that point, so why not?
 
Kingsler- Inexperienced town
Zone Q-11 -Scummy overall as stated
Shalmoa - No real read to slight scum. Hugh's gremlin bit, while I haven't played in a while, seems to be something known, so pushing Hugh over acting Hughlike, particularly with the focus on progression, feels a bit off to me the more I look at it.
Rosen- Lean Town
IH- slight town maybe, but I'd be hard pressed to come up with a reason beyond gut.
Seven - Nada
Scia- Feels Sciay, which is to say quiet, not very pushy or hunting, slight town
Hugh- Feels Hughy, that is, chaotic and a bit confusing, slight town.
Ori- Not super liking the Shalmoa push, and I obviously read what came before as a slight scum, so still slight scummish
Nemo- Not entirely liking that she's not hunting beyond the Scia back and forth that mostly wraps around a certain exchange. Nemo/Scia feels interesting, but probably not how I'd expect Nemo to play scum, having, I think, a fairly good handle on her personality. NAI
Nictis- Would normally say scummy, particularly with a sheep vote, but I'm not inclined to suspect someone for being sick.
Cyri- I think replaced LoR? If so, LoR did basically nothing this game, and Cyri still claims to be behind as of their last post. Nothing to go on, NAI.
Zaealix- Town getting suckered into voting Zaea early game is just such a meme that I kinda want to reflexively avoid that. OTOH, Zaea seems oddly towny atm vibewise.

The only one I consider alive other than Shalmoa recently is Nictis, and personally I would still rather ask Shalmoa for info just because I talked with them the most. It's a positive feedback loop.

I only now see that there is a nifty tool below this reply box that tells me who are viewing this thread. NGL, I would probably keep asking Shalmoa as my go-to when it comes to meta-related questions.

Hm. I wanted to ask what this does have to do with you not moving your vote from Rosen, but after checking VC 1.3 I see that you voted Ori, so... yeah, I got nothing on this one.

It's odd. At this point I feel like I'm just fighting you for the sake of proving you wrong, regardless of your actual alignment.

Gonna second this particular vibe pairing. -Rosen/Shadell strikes me as a somewhat interesting potential pair. I want to believe that -Rosen's probably town and I want to but can't quite townlean -Shadell, but a part of me is definitely paranoid that -Rosen's also trying to pocket me.

    Hugh has been reading this thread recently. Why has he not talked yet? He is literally top wagon as of now. Is he confident he won't get lynched today, or does he think people would vote someone else if he stays quiet?

    Currently at Page 9.
    Having read Page 8, I feel like Hugh was genuinely trolling with his Godfather claim.
    I won't mind his death, but I'd rather go after Shadell now.

    By the way, it's 1:30 AM, and I'm very sleepy now. I think I'll go to bed after all.
    In case I die by lynch: I order investigatives to check out Shadell. If I live: Do whatever you want.

    Shalmoa's feud with Hugh is the main reason why he's there and I think I can safely say I need say no more then that.
    Hugh feels like he gave a slightly shady ainitial answer with The Godfather as opposed to townie but the catch here is that was a reasonable response even with that wild 720 degree trickflip Shalmoa tried to pull on him. I respect his game, even if it unfortunately comes out to NAI arguements.

    He seems as combative as always, but despite that edge he's not actually taking aggressive actions…
    From there no one's really done much beyond comment on the Shal&Hugh thing, once it happened.
    So I guess I'd vote Hugh in a gun to head situation.

    ori's reaction to I think shalnoa asking about nemo is smelly

    it's weird to me that rosen is being excluded for the rvs train, like the idea that scum were going for a quick lim there is silly to me. as for why they're on the scum end for me, I don't like that they made their poe off of people rvs voting them + later agreeing with someone (I forgot) that there wasn't much to get out of the discussion of whether the wagon was scum motivated. while I agree with the latter, i feel like those two takes are contradictory in mind set

    I'm used to playing with likes. It's not so much about reading into them but I often see them as like a quick way of showing agreement, and it would be good to know when someone is agreeing with something
