Yep, the silly little worm is just a baby. The adult version is a full JL level threat....Jesus, I never knew that Mister Mind was actually a Cosmic Horror of that scale before...

Jeff Smith did a great job of making Mr. Mind horrifying in his Shazam and the Monster Society of Evil miniseries. Though that one is a bit wonky as in that Billy and Captain Marvel are separate entities that switch places rather than Billy becoming Captain Marvel, though Captain Marvel is also implied to be an older Billy Batson.
I'd almost like them to do what they did back in the 40s and have him appear through out the bulk of a film as a shadowy figure on a screen with a distorted voice only for his true form to be revealed at the end, at which point he unleashes the full might of his psychic powers and controls most of the Justice League, with I'd say Captain Marvel due to the Wisdom of Solomon, Wonder Woman due to her divine heritage, and a Green Lantern due to his or her pure will power. This of course leads to any Anti-Justice League plans that Batman has getting used and an absolute slobber-knocker between Marvel and Supes.Yeah WB may have wasted Doomsday but as long as they don't mess up too bad here they can still pull out Mr Mind for a good cosmic level threat to the Justice League.
Even without his Hyperfly adult form he's still probably the most powerful telepath around.
EDIT:
Aaaaand now I'm reminded of the time he tore out Skeet's insides and wore him like ameatsuitrobotsuit and impersonated him for over a year.
That was how it worked, pre-Crisis. It was one of the things changed afterward, and it's why a lot of similar reworkings of the concept (Captain Mar-Vell, Marvelman/Miracleman) that were created beforehand have a similar mechanic.Or Booster Gold in a pinch.

Forget the Legion of Doom, go full on Monster Society of Evil. Just put Deathstroke and Black Manta on the team, with their willpower and drive helping to shield them from Mister Mind...along with Silvana's gadgets.I'd almost like them to do what they did back in the 40s and have him appear through out the bulk of a film as a shadowy figure on a screen with a distorted voice only for his true form to be revealed at the end, at which point he unleashes the full might of his psychic powers and controls most of the Justice League, with I'd say Captain Marvel due to the Wisdom of Solomon, Wonder Woman due to her divine heritage, and a Green Lantern due to his or her pure will power. In fairness, that was a problem of DC's own making, considering how them suing Fawcett out of house and home was what made the trademark open.A Captain marvel... Oh yeah we can't call him that anymore because of bloody marvel in spite of him existing under that name first long before the Marvel captain marvel was created... should be interesting though my familiarity is more with the pre-new 52 marvel and the justice league cartoon version where he was a bigger boy scout than superman which was nice and enjoyable.
Back when batman still had a sense of humor, knew how to smile and was buddies with superman.
The problem is he can't really introduce himself without transforming. Unless that was fixed at some point in the comics...
There is the option for a badass intro now that his name and transformation phrase are the same though:The problem is he can't really introduce himself without transforming. Unless that was fixed at some point in the comics...
Well, this is a movie, not the comics, but I'm pretty sure they did actually change that, I hear. The problem is he can't really introduce himself without transforming. Unless that was fixed at some point in the comics...
That works. There is the option for a badass intro now that his name and transformation phrase are the same though:
"Who are you supposed to be you little punk?"
"Me? I am...SHAZAM!"
*Badass Ensues*
Ah, I see. Rather handy.Well, this is a movie, not the comics, but I'm pretty sure they did actually change that, I hear.

...Lex Luthor is toast.
Yes, who could ever defeat someone as ruthless as this:
While I'm glad that this is a break from DC's addiction to constantly fucking up the tone of their films, I have to admit I was left completely cold by that trailer.
Well, he's only supposed to have it while transformed, but it seems to be lacking even then. Of course I also remember the chewing out Superman gave the old wizard for doing this to a child. And unlike many other Superheroes, comics Superman WAS a hero as a child, so he actually knows what he's talking about.
Billy also was given zero training in his powers...so maybe he has no idea on how to access it?Well, he's only supposed to have it while transformed, but it seems to be lacking even then. Yeah, honestly Old Shazam is worst Mentor. As Superman pointed out.Billy also was given zero training in his powers...so maybe he has no idea on how to access it?
