Actually, you know what? I'm making this a serious vote because what I liked most about Splintered was the talking to fairies bit. We don't want to draw the heat of being maybe related to the Fairy Queen though, so here's our own version!
[x] Hello dreamer of Arsenal!
-[x] To answer your questions,
-[x] I think they were or could have been my dream-cousins. But I had a nightmare and that hurt everyone. I'm dreaming properly now though, so it shouldn't happen again.
-[x] You can wake them up, but they probably won't dream anymore
-[x] Unless they were very inventive daydreamers
-[x] Dreams don't like boring dreamers you see.
-[x] If it helps, I think one of them was already dreaming of Phantasm, but Perfectionist and Architect hadn't started dreaming yet.
[x] Ongoing: Try to be helpful and provide information to other hosts whenever possible, exempting certain unpalatable details about the cycle and Host's own abilities in general.
Really not sure I like this. Not necessarily the dream stuff, but the rest of it. I'd rather they draw their own conclusions from the events, both because their end result is going to be more believable to them, and because it's potentially misinformation, depending on what conclusions are drawn.
Additionally, accurate name-dropping like that is going to reveal our at least some of our current situation to Arsenal. I dunno if I want the fact that we're controlling our host's body spreading as rumors just yet. We do apparently have siblings who dislike us, and I'd rather not have :Father:/Sting get involved because they snitched on us.
Addtionally, I'm not sure I want to lay it on thick from the start. We could save mentioning whatever we end up calling Shards as some sort of dramatic/comedic reveal later on. Establishing too many details at the start of the ruse means we may have trouble altering it later to suit our needs. Whereas dropping truth bombs and the like seemingly completely obliviously ("I assumed you could see them too") seems way funnier and easier to work with.
I'd like to tell the truth for the simple reason of wanting to see what kind of chaos it makes. They might dismiss it as insanity, but even that would be an interesting route, seeing how everyone reacts to the obviously "insane" new trigger.
Because the truth has more potential for Chaos, and QA trying to halp is even better
First, massive chaos from the beginning leaves us with nowhere to go but to more a orderly situation. Second, if they think we're completely bonkers, they won't trust us. I'd also really rather not have Contessa visit us, thank you very much. If memory serves, Cauldron does
not like people blabbering about this stuff.
Honestly, I'd rather we build up to the revealations, rather than just dumping them on people. We only have so many, and each one can be used to great comedic effect. And, honestly, it'll probably be funny and chaotic enough with us trying to socialize with people and subtly influence them to do thing their Shards want. Speaking of which, I wonder if Panacea has heard of Norman Borlaug...
