Salted Sands (A Caves of Qud-Inspired Cultivation Quest)

Actually, that should have been +134, so the 98 should have the next one be +132...I'm tempted to roll, but my luck has been shit and I don't want to break the streak. Plus I already rolled once on the Crafting.

I'm up!

Edit: 7 successes with the next at +55

The ridiculous amount of explosions feels super appropriate for the bomb plan

Well, at this point even a failure isn't so bad, so I guess I'll try one roll.

EDIT: And it's 8 successes and another explosion, this one 'only' +25, though.

What i love is that we failed the crafting roles, so presumably we failed to make a mortar.

The following combat roles implies the bugs found us and from all of these successes and explosions....

Lol

Second time's the charm!

Edit:..... what the actual hell?

9 successes with a +18 next, I believe.

Listen we would have been a perfectly safe distance from the bomb if it had been as strong as we thought it was.
Unfortunately it was much stronger.

Alright, I'm going to need a Social (Negotiations) check, please (2d100 + 10). You're shooting for 1 success, but any further successes will be beneficial.

This is actually a partial replacement for the crafting check, as I realized while writing the update that it makes way more sense like this than if Kell just screws up. I will refund the XP you spent on your crafting stuff, if you like

However, if you'd rather we just go with the crafting rolls, we can do that instead

I'd be fine without a refund, honestly. Crafting/tinkering is very thematically appropriate for a Qud inspired quest, so it's not like we won't be using it in the future. Gotta be able to whip up a hand-e-nuke or a timecube if we see something nasty the next screen over, right?
