Because anagrams are fun and the Jedi Council are exactly the sort of people to think that an anagram is clever while being unimaginative enough to not use a better, unrelated name.

Hmm,gender aside,What we want to accomplish as peggy sue,I think this is a bit crack quest right?

But best crack need some serious element in story to made we care about the characther.

Maybe Revan try to accomplish his dream of become Indiana Jone/Han Solo instead of Sith/Jedi?.

Because this way I can headcanon her having already gone the ruthless / pragmatic route, and then trying to find a better way of doing things.

I always loved Revan as a Sith because of all the various Sith Lords his goal honestly still struck me as the least selfish. He's a man disillusioned with the soft and ineffectual republic who is certain he can do better, and all the men who followed him believed the same. He very well could. Add in the semi-canon that Revan wanted a government capable of opposing the Sith Empire and he was the only Sith I've ever wanted to actually win. I always thought Kotor did a decent job pointing out the flaws in the Republic.
